  1. Wow....

As more and more Thai men unleash death and injury upon their wives, family, and girl friends in a  jealous rage, I think foreigners need to be more concerned now about retribution unleashed upon them by jealous Thai lovers.

If you get involved with someone, it might be wise now to ask if they are married or have a steady?  Even if they don't tell you the truth, at least you asked.

As my above post.  The car driver passed the bike then cut him up to make his turn.  You are an accident investigator ?

You claim he tried to undertake the car, I claim he was braking when he saw  the car was going to  cut him up. If he had been trying to undertake he wouldn't have fallen off at the back of the car. He would have been rolled under the wheels and pancaked.

I examined the video again and you are correct.  I can't explain why I missed the first few seconds when the car came into view. The operator of the car clearly, gradually, moved from the fast lane to the slow lane cutting the motorcycle. I remember first seeing the car in the slow lane.  Perhaps my attention was diverted or a senior moment!  Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I wish the video depicted a view about 7 seconds prior to see if the speed of the motorcycle was too fast for conditions and try to determine when the bike operator began braking to determine if there was contributory negligence. Sometimes inexperienced motorcycle operators fail to utilize the front brake properly for maximum breaking.

They used to call it manic depressive.

I recall that, but I believe bipolar is more  severe as I never heard of anyone committing suicide being a manic-depressive. Perhaps it's the new prescription  antidepressant drugs that is causing suicides when a patient suddenly stops medicating. As I recall there is a warning  insert in those drugs warning against suicide.

My brothers daughter, always a fun, bubbly sort of girl, got married had two children, beautiful house, good marriage, no financial worries suddenly out of the blue became depressed and was diagnosed as bipolar, we were all devastated, why ?????

Good question...Could be a number of things;  heavy metal in vaccines, pesticides, GMO,  pollution, industrial toxins in ground water, just to name a few.

Very sad story.  Thank you for sharing.

  5. Makes no difference, who cares?

The operator of the pickup has no legal responsibility to look behind him while making a left turn. However, defensive drivers should signal in advance and look in their rear view mirror prior to turning.

Clearly, the operator of the motorcycle was to aggressive in this case and was 100% at fault.  He could have been inexperienced in motorcycles. I wonder if he even had a valid, motorcycle license or if he was  under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

I investigated motor vehicle accidents for 30 years. One of the biggest mistakes aggressive motorcycle operators make is passing on the left of a vehicle turning left.

Most are fatal accidents with the inertia forcing the operator to the pavement with the head hitting the pavement, curbs, parked vehicles, fences, walls, or signage.

The big bikes at high speed are the worse offenders and most never go home and if they do it's in a wheel chair.

  6. It appears the  bipolar disorder is becoming a worldwide epidemic.

Several years ago my best friend suddenly became bipolar, lost his job, he lost his family,  suffered from depression and anger issues.

His anger was explosive.  I believed the cause of the anger was from fear.

For many years he was at the top of his game; was president of his father's Corporation, had two children and a wonderful wife and it seem like within a month he lost everything.

He sought out the best medical treatment available and nothing worked.

He told me he wouldn't make it another year and eventually committed suicide.

The last few years I've met many people that admitted to being bipolar.

For 40 years I never heard the word bipolar mentioned.

  7. My first question is why is he smiling?

My best guess is the bullet was a 22, short hollow point, and the low velocity ricocheted off the bone internally and struck an artery in the neck.

All the blood on him and inspection of the exit wound by Police confirms this.

I would be very suspicious too.

His biggest mistake was telling the police he emptied the gun, admitting possible negligence.  If she  had a history of suicide attempts one could  build a defense for him and allege she loaded the gun leaving reasonable doubt.

He should've said he didn't know what happened and made no further statements.

It appears that his problems and life just got a whole lot worse.

Hopefully, her family members will not seek physical retribution.

  8.  I'm laughing  out loud at all the comments and opinions.

I doubt the arm chair news readers have visited the accident scene, measured skid, yaw, gouge highway marks and photographed same. Have recorded statements from both operators and all witnesses, including on scene Police.  Have secured the police report and all their photographs.  Have in their possession the autopsy report and blood work up on the decedent.  Have spoken with the police accident investigator and hired their own seasoned, professional, certified, accident investigator with an advanced engineering degree.   Have obtained the official certified weather report at the time of the accident and as built engineering plans of the highway.   Have photographed all vehicles with a minimum of 50 photos each, covering all angles and points of impact. Have secured autopsy photos looking for impact bruising on the body.   Have asked the Police if the other operator's body was photographed for bruising.  If so, have secured the photographs. Have done a full background investigation and secured medical history on the decedent, her boyfriend, and the other operator.

If you responded no to all you need to get dressed,  get started and have your investigation completed within 30 days!  Then give your competent opinion.

What they probably failed to tell you if you cancel any Thai bank account they will not open a new one now without a work permit! I was told that by several Thai Banks this year that I have done business with for 11 years.

Even with a retirement visa extension which I've had for years.

Another surprise is you are forbidden to wire funds out of Thailand unless you can prove the funds were wired in!   More and more banks are now enforcing that.

Now you know why It's hard to find expats that lived here for many years in Bangkok and why business owners are no longer smiling.

After 11 years living here, all my expats friends left.

And, most of the Thai lady friends I've had for many years have left Bangkok and returned to their provinces in Thailand. Several this week in fact!

The herd is thinning my friend.

I am very glad to see the nurses winning. They do a great job, and have to do things I and many others wouldn't want to, so they deserve just rewards.

It is funny how once again our comical leadership flips track whenever their is an outcry. 2 days ago there could be no new positions until 2026.

    I love all nurses!

It appears only a partial win, but 3 years for a gradual change!  Sad...

  11. It sounds like this couple would be happier living apart.  Perhaps it would save their marriage over time.

The 30 year itch has come and gone.  In this decade it as been the 5 year discard; like tossing an empty can in the garbage.

Thanks to the Internet, and single ads most women and men have become expert, covert, story tellers and better dealers which generally destroys relationships before they even get started these days.

I have been told by some men that tried the single ads, that many women now ask for money before they even ask for a date. Many women agree to meet for a free meal which is like having a part time job. Some surprise lover boy with bringing her entire family or friends!

It's all very sad when I look back 50 years ago and remember how it was.

  12. The plaintiff will have to show supportive documentation reflecting a monetary loss. Generally, without a monetary loss, most competent, professional, licensed lawyers will not take the case.

Some paralegals will take the case for a non-refundable retainer and increase their income with letter writing, and eventually tell their client they can't help them.
