Lawyer, why make life so difficult for yourself. It's an easy process.
Nothing is easy anymore. The printed rule of law changes like the weather and many times new Immigration law releases don't make the news and only competent, seasoned Immigration lawyers have access to and review the updates. When your dealing with two countries, it can be a mind twister. Especially, with the massive number of illegals pouring into England and parts of Europe. Expect more and more Immigration legal challenges and law revisions.

Report via registered mail so no future problems. Better to be safe than sorry.

Very complicated reports!
Do governments demand a DNA test prior to considering citizenship?
I would recommend consulting with a seasoned, competent, licensed, Lawyer, specializing in Immigration Law in both countries in order to secure current law and and pocedures.
Good Luck!
My vasectomy was the best investment I ever made. However, not for everyone.

If the negative posters are unhappy and disgusted, leave!
Your negative and rude content creates hate and discontent with Thai citizens.
Billions of people in the world today are jobless, homeless, without a country and starving!
A good percent of prisoners on death row, and serving life sentences are innocent.
With all the problems in the world folks are complaining about park fees.
Wow...you have no idea how good you have it.
And I bet you have more than 200 THB in your pocket. Many here don't!
Your living in one of the most inexpensive countries in the world. Do you even understand how much you are saving?

Be thankful you were not injured.
When people lose everything, they lose it and will do anything for money to eat.
Pick pocketing and violent physical crime is accelerating all around planet earth.
When in crowds use common sense. Leave valuables in a safe, no jewelry, put money/important documents where they can't be grabbed like a money belt or inside a shoe.
I personally avoid crowds and I'm always aware who is behind me. Whoever anyone approaches me on a public street I don't know I ignore and angle around them quickly. If they are shirtless, or are drunk, I'm in a defensive posture.
People who get their pockets picked have no one to blame, but themselves.
Everyone should take self defense lessons and practice avoidance! Carry anything legal that is handy and can be used as a weapon. A metal pen, keys on a small wooden or metal rod that can inflict pain on the face and eyes of an attacker enabling one to retreat quickly.
The street theft problem will increase worldwide in time with the financial retreat.
The folks not prepared will be the victims.
I really miss common sense!

Try tightening the screw that secures the fan blade. Tighen all cover screws and lube the swing arm. Be sure it's position is level swinging back and forth. If that does not work give it away and buy a new one.

Absolutely! When I was a young boy, there were no divorces in our village. Women had the most important jobs, raising and educating children in the home to be polite and good citizens. All the neighborhood children played on farms, swam in the ponds and rivers, skied, ice skated, fished, hunted in our backyard's and picked apples that are four times larger than you find in the grocery stores today. There were farms in Connecticut every 2 miles and cows, crops and orchards as far as you could see. Today most are gone. Most had the same job till they retired. A middle class home could be built on an acre for $25,000. No crime to speak of and seldom saw a cop. If we did he was friendly and helpful. He was dressed in blue, not black and did not drive a tank! He carried a pistol, not a machine gun! I often think about those special days.

You should find a competent, seasoned, professional, trial lawyer specializing in employee-employer relationships and visit with him face to face. As the worldwide economy retreats, contracts are broken every day. In most cases after evaluating the expense of a competent Attorney, many just move on to another job or accept the cut. The increase in taxes and inflation worldwide combined with stocks and currencies retreating, employers are forced to cut back. In my opinion after living here for 9 years any legal action for a foreigner would be an uphill battle.

It's refreshing to live in a country that cares enough to protect it's Sovergnity.

If you haven't already, it's best to get two legal opinions from competent lawyers that are licensed, with trial experience that specialize in criminal, immigration cases. Avoid lawyers that are not licensed, and the city is full of them. Ask to see their license and if they refuse, leave. Ask to speak with a senior partner. They say they are lawyers, but they are only incompetent paralegals. Large law firms have political connections. There is little justice in the world today and to risk your future with responses from here and paralegals is not recommended.

May be a typical female manipulaton to get back to Germany or anywhere cooler. I've been here 9 years and yesterday was unbearable and even the night was annoying with the air con going on and off all night.
-
I've never had a problem with Thai mail, in 9 years, even recently. I always pay a little extra for registered with tracking. The tracking here is better than in America!

Most foreign countries have dual pricing.
It's only fair as most citizens here have much less than most tourists and retirees.
If it annoys you go home and pay much higher prices and be invisible to most women.

Welcome...
Simply Google your question and many times you will be directed to the Thai Visa link that was published.
Sign up to have new Thai Visa news sent to your email account.
Utilize the search engines within the Thai Visa website.
Find expats who have lived here for over ten years and before making any financial decisions, ask them their opinions in person. It could save you your life savings.
Always ask for recommendations for medical, dental, banking, wiring funds and most services from the same longtime expats.
Refer to the Thai Immigration website and their Q&A often to see new surprises.
Pay particular attention to content regarding pitfalls in relationships here so not to make the same mistakes and read the book, Private Dancer.
There is always an adjustment time, especially understanding different cultures. Over time you will be come more patient and understanding. If a woman tells you, "you talk to much." You are. ha ha ah
Learn basic Thai especially, hello, thank you, sorry, how are you, bottle water, milk, ice, how much, no way and unbelievable! Much is negotible with high price margins.
Pay no attention to all trolls in all media and social networking. Do your own research and enjoy the country and all it has to offer. You will find the positives far outweigh the negatives over time. At times it takes a trip home to shock one to see how good they have it here.
If you get a retirement visa and drive, you are required to obtain a Thai drivers license. They have a separate one for motorcycles.
Best of luck.

Everyone in every country should be screaming, 'no foreign entanglements.'
It's an honorable service he provided, but he did it at his own risk.
When you assume the risk, you have no one to blame but yourself.
A foolish risk at that, which caused his family to suffer the most.
Normalcy bias kills many.

I would have paid him the 500 TB or at least negotiated the alleged fine down where he received something to make him smile.
As I recall, if you have a retirement visa extension, you are required to have a Thai drivers license and if you don't the fine is the average cost of a Thai beer.
All it takes is one Police Officer that is unhinged from stress, hunger, family medical bills and more to put you in the hospital. Why risk it?
Around the world many are laying in hospital beds thinking about out of control medical bills from Police beat downs and how they could have prevented injury and bankruptcy. And they are the lucky ones! The unlucky ones are in a medical induced coma.
Besides, he probably needed it!
The more cash you give away, the more comes back to you. That is the power of money.
People in this forum have in the past have foolishly bashed the Police/Army, but imagine a city without them. We are talking road warrior.

Move on and forget about it.
If you make trouble, it may come back to haunt you.
There are bigger things going on in this world presently to be more concerned about.

I would discuss this with a lawyer to recover your damages and complaints with their licensing board.

Simple solution; change the routine even if you have to move.

Been there, done it
Don't work worth a shit
Coulda spent the $45,000 on hookers & drugs--MUCH better value...
Did you go to absolute health?
May I ask what the treatment was for?
Most treatments are TB 1000 per visit. Are you saying you made 45 visits?
That doesn't sound right??

Mosquitoes are flying hypodermic needles and carry many old and new diseases.
Millions living in tropical climates suffer from a host of diseases spread by mosquitoes day and night.
The Dengue mosquitoes bites are more active in the afternoon early evening.
I lived with this problem for 11 years in Costa Rica. There the Dengue mosquitoe is larger than the common mosquitoe we see frequently. I'm not sure about the size in Thailand.
I personally keep all my doors and windows closed and instruct my maids to do the same. Only windows and doors with screens are opened.
I also spray Off spray on exposed skin when mosquitoes are present. I don't use it all the time as the spray itself has harmful toxic chemicals that can be absorbed in the skin, which is the largest human organ.
Anything that catches water should be drained as that is where they lay their eggs. I also understand they do not travel very far from where they hatch.

For many years I've heard positive results in Europe with alternative, Oxidation medical Therapy. More and more similar clinics are now found in the U.S.
I would to hear from members who have had these type of treatments or similar intravenous type therapies to avoid surgery and their experiences, both positive and negative. Please include your expenses.
This alternative therapy treats, Pulmonary, Infectious diseases, and Immune disorders. Other miscellaneous treatments are for Parkinsonism, Alzheimer, Migraine headaches, Chronic pain syndromes, Pain of Metastatic Carcinoma an Blood and Lymph Node Cancers.
With many worldwide viruses spreading currently, these therapies also strengthen the immune system to fight off infection.
I've been checking out a Bangkok clinic, Absolute Health.
Also, has anyone experienced Intravenous therapy for cancer?
Many have experienced excellent results utilizing Vitamin C, Sodium Bicarbonate, (Baking Soda) and Hydrogen Peroxide drip therapies.
Of course Medical Doctors always point their thumbs down at any alternative therapies, however the worldwide stats currently reveal hundreds of thousands die from prescription drugs.
Extensive research confirms Oxidation does cure many diseases without surgery.

Financial sanctions can increase to a breaking point and start wars.
History has shown us when the world economy is in retreat the folks who own us always take us to world war.
Some say it has already started.
I have no opinion on the that.

If the Ebola numbers increase in the US, and Europe, air travel will retreat big time. Their stocks are already declining from the Ebola news in Texas.
Borders might even be shut down.
Tourism and travel worldwide will suffer greatly.
What's the closest country I can fly to without needing full page visa stamp/sticker?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Most embassy's will not issue a visa with a full passport and the airlines could prevent you from flying with a damaged or full passport.
