  1. i have heard all about ( art on the hill ) i bought here at CCR for rental potential or to flip it. though on hindsight i should have waited but then wait too long and you miss the deal. i got a good deal with full furniture pack and thai company name for 2.5M , 1 off cash payment . once completed these units will be sold by matrix for approx 2.9M so i will sell or i will keep it 3-4 years, rent it out then sell.

typically do people prefer a poolside condo , middle floor or top floor. bearing in mind if there are no sea views .

  2. What disrespectful bunch of idiots mosts of you are here.

Colin is a very good friend of mine. I have known him for more then 14 years. He is one of the most decent farangs here in Pattaya. Has helped many people Thai and farangs.

If you don't know the/his private situation and have nothing decent to add here, just all shut the FFFF up.

    i second that thumbsup.gif

  3. i bought a condo recently in central pattaya ( City Centre Residence ) got a great deal and completed total cash pre sale. few people have said they think i bought too soon and bought in the wrong location. i bought in city centre ( near soi buahkao ) to appeal to rental market , to sell to people who wanted to be nearer to central pattaya instead of outside near wongamat or pratumak , or worst case senario i will live in it from time to time myself and lend it out to friends ,family and work colleagues.

obviously the developers ( matrix ) know the market or they would not throw away money on a project that no one was going to be buying in.

where would your choice be if buying around the pattaya area, i do not like and neve r have liked jomtien for some reason though i know condos can be bought there for much less money and especially now that the russians are selling up.

    your thoughts.

  4. nigerians , shouldnt these people be scrutinised more at the borders than the rest of us ? like , really how many decent nigerians are here in thailand to contribute honestly and sufficiently to the thai economy ? this just shows you how stupid and lax the thai authorities really are, while the rest of us just get <deleted>over again and again and again. facepalm.gif

  5. thinking of booking a trip for few months, im undecided about going back to thailand i have basically seen it all and am just back 4 weeks ago from pattaya and hau hin . how does phillipines differ for nights out , beer etc , female company obviously and bars / nightlife, cost of budget rooms with wifi and maybe pool per month. also cambodia , ive been to sihanoukville once never been to phnom penn. anyone any advise on visa costs, rooms, food , etc etc.

i also want to ask, what is cost of a years visa stay in cambodia and phillipines.

    cheers

    DD

  6. knowing that a long term visa is not easy for me ( im 47 and married / seperated to thai national ) i cannot yet get retirement visa, im thinking about an ED visa ( i really want to learn the language proper after 14 years of sitting on my ass ) so maybe it is better to get a 1 year visa into cambodia, make sihanoukville my base and then if i want to holiday and go see friends in thailand mostly isaan region then i just take a short journey over border .

sounds viable plus i really like sihanoukville, it has all the things that thailand has to offer , cheap rooms, cheaper beer, and the visa i think is only around 200 dollars per year ( business visa ) correct me if im wrong.

  7. some <deleted> who,s reply was removed by the mods asked me why i have a condo ( un construction) but i want to live in a 8k a month <deleted>, my reply to the <deleted> is obvious. untill my condo has finished i will rather stay in a nice room like hotel standard or better for 8-10k a month instead of a hotel room like opey de place or sabai lodge where i would be paying at least 30k a month upwards. its a big saving, we are not all millionaires and pattaya is not a cheap place to live if you do some partying regularly.

  8. stupid ars eholes !! like what does it take to be safe and for government to regulate these theme parks ? it just makes me think " are they really that

Lackadaisical. i hope this guy did not die, such a pity about these safety issues all the time in thailand weather theme parks or boats to koh larn etc.

be carefull here in whatever you do guys !! dont take anything for granted in thailand.

  9. are the cops simple or what, if it was me looking money i would be hiding behind corner at soi dianna / lankee crossroads then pounce.

    stupid .

It may look stupid to the unclued farang.

More likely scenario is that they receive extortion money from the pubs/clubs in the area, and thus it isn't good business cracking down on their own customers.

Everyone's a winner, even the farangs drink driving home and calling the Thais stupid for allowing them.

And the police actually own quite a bit of the land on which bars are build so they actually double dip.

They get rent and they extort from the bar owners.

    Nice gig, cop in Pattaya

And some farangs think that they are stupid ones for not standing outside the bars they profit from, hassling and fining the customers for chump-change. laugh.png

    20k 0r 35 k , hardly chump change.
