  1. A good hypnotist can be of definite help.
  2. Maybe the govt. should start any new initiatives by going after the HUGE % of the Thai population that does not pay taxes, or significantly under-reports!!
  3. Sorry if I am not smart enough to fully understand... Reading one of the articles posted just now- Is it saying that any gift under B20 mil can easily be gotten without the need to pay tax. Or.....???
  4. Let's say my rich aunt wants to give me B2 million to buy a house for me and my spouse.... Will that be taxed? And if it won't be taxed, how will the Thai govt. know what is "a gift" compared to what is income?
  5. Not sure of your situation- There are some excellent supplements on iHerb and other sites. Took me down to no more getting up at night.
  6. Does this initial post really have anything to do with Feng Shui??
  7. I know an excellent practitioner in English, but sorry, no one speaking Thai.
  8. I have been playing blues harp for about 30 years ago, and I have played in a few bands. YouTube lessons- Most of them seem excellent to me. What is it about such lessons that doesn't suit you?
  9. I was hesitant ot use poison because I thought they would die up in the roof, but then I discovered they come out of the roof area and go outside to find water. After trying several supposedly clever traps that did not work, I found poison quickly did the job. Takes about three or four days. If you have any dogs you need to be careful, because they wil pick up and play with, dead animals.
  10. Amway is a multi-level marketing company, which basically means it is a pyramid scheme. Their goods are ok quality, but not special, AND expensive. Not crazy expensive, but expensive. They make the lions share of their money from the various sales associates they have, that buy product for themselves... Very few people do well "money wise" working for them.
  11. And what will one find out by getting their genes tested?
  12. "Bob Smith" doesn't even exist, except as a fantasy. He has no FB profile and not one picture of himself anywhere. In fact one of my friends told me that the "real" Bob Smith is a lady who enjoys playing with people's minds!!! So perhaps the "real" Bob needs to sit down when peeing!!
  13. Hi Bob, Did you post a reply and I somehow missed it? Since you post a fair amount here, and you often like to "stir the pot" I would be interested in knowing your real name, and what you look like. No good?
  14. Heah Bob, Are you a real person? Please show us a picture or two of yourself, and let us know a bit more about you. A wannabe fan! Charlie
  15. Hi, I asked before, but I failed to "follow" the topic, so not sure if I got a reply or not.... Bob, I would love to see an actual photo of you, and it seems like you to not have a profile on FB, is that correct? Is Bob Smith a fictitious name? Will the real Bob please stand up!!!
  16. Wow, my condolences! And if you got it together enough to write your post, you are sure to be doing ok for the long term.
  17. Ahh, ok.... "Smart" people have already exited this thread a while ago. Or I should say "Ah so!"
  18. Just getting back to Thailand now.... I lived in Japan for 30 years. A very complex society to live in... In the countryside, not more than 1% of people will speak English..... A very complex society to live in... I have not read the many posts- But likely it has been said that the term "smart" has changed drastically in meaning over the last 20 years or so. IQ tests are no longer considered of real importance by most folks in the know, and for a lot of people, in the past, "smart" just meant someone with an opinion, and someone that likes to talk pejoratively about others..... Japanese people are not known to be great conversationalists. A very complex society to live in... Unless you study one of the many, great, Japanese arts, and in a serious manner, you will likely be greatly disappointed in Japan. The countryside can be very cheap, and also, beautiful.
  19. What is your definition of "smart people"?
  20. The above story concerns which insurance company?
  21. I had cancer last year, and WRLife was a fiasco for me right from the beginning..... They were demanding a lot of info from my very well known hospital, before paying even one baht, and I had to sweet talk the head accounting person in my hospital so I could start treatment right away. I already had Stage 4 cancer and immediate treatment was critical. And I am cancer free today! Before buying, I did a fair amount of research and discovered that even if I had cancer and a heart attack in the same year, $50,000 would cover the expenses. So I bought their $80,000 policy...... What I did not do carefully is sit with my calculator and go over the fine print to see how the numbers really worked out with their various limits, exclusions, and caveats . I won't go into a long story now, but just say that my overall treatment costs were about 25k and insurance only covered about 12k.
  22. Please be very careful with WrLife company.
  23. I had cancer last year, and I am now cancer free! My last radiation treatment was 10 months ago, but my throat is still a bit swollen (I had throat cancer). The swelling causes my hearing to be a bit off and I need to "clear" my ears several times a day like I am landing in a commercial plane. Last month I started getting dizzy spells and the doctor wound up saying, after a LOT of tests that it is my swollen throat that is the main cause... Just saying...
  24. I bought a policy supposedly worth $80k in benefits a year, and I did a bunch of research and saw that even if I had a heart attack AND cancer in the same year, $80k would be more than enough to cover my medical expenses. BUT I did not take the proper amount of time (with a calculator in hand) to figure out what actually happens. So my cancer treatment was in excess of $25k and the insurance company only paid about $11k!! With the boss of the insurance company telling me "read the policy fine print better the next time around!"!! Also, company's like the one that I went with, very purposefully do not have a registered office here in Thailand, which means the govt. does not regulate them.
