Ok I'll give that a try, courtesy Google. I think (guessing) the supply is ok. It's just that the tubes flash for an hour without actually igniting. The incandescent lights in the other rooms light up pronto. I'm a bit dubious about led because I've heard they can catch fire. I'm thinking just go for normal incandescent bulbs?

Yes, Brisbane offers AFF training. I have heard that good tunnel flyers generally make good skydivers, but not necessarily the other way around. If you have a zoo in the tunnel you can't track out of it. You're stuck in that tube at 200kph.

It looks like they have to be a skydiving coach to coach tunnel formation flying.

All the tunnel instructors in Brisbane are also skydiving instructors. I actually think it's a part of their licence requirements. Anyway, the state championships are in 6 weeks. Wish my kid well.

My first scuba lessons were indoors. I don't know anyone who was thrown into the North Sea without pool lessons.

Just returned from 2 weeks of indoor skydiving in Brisbane, and a little visit to a local dropzone. Skydiving is tame compared to tunnel flying. Smashing your face into a glass tube over and over again at over 200kph compared to freefalling with basically nothing to hit, with 2 parachutes on your back and an automatic opening device. No wonder it is the newest addictive sport.

No-one could be that stupid, even by our standards.
