Germany's gas crisis generates nuclear dilemma for ruling Greens
Stargeezr replied to Scott's topic in World News
ozimoron, what a moniker. Have you seen the graph below? Did you know that CO2 was a trace gas just like methane? No well, well. -
Hey Rooster, thanks for another good update on the news. I see your critics who can barely string a few sentences together are still out in force. I do not like flying, but it is the only way from Canada to Thailand in under 2 months or so on a freighter ship. I stay seated with my seatbelt on as one never really knows when CAT, or Clear Air Turbulence can happen. I have been on bad flights where meals and drinks are delayed for over an hour until the flights either climbs or descends to smoother air enroute. Thanks for the addition of picture as well. Harvey M. I am only 10 years older than you.

Annoying Arab/Indian motorcycle gang busted by Pattaya traffic police
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
The offenders should have been taken to their hotels, then police station to pay the fines, then to the airport to leave Thailand. I guess that would send the Indians and Arabs too much of a notice. Behave or go home. -
Two foreign tourists rescued after battling with waves at Kata Beach
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
It really seems that you cannot cure stupid. There appears to be too many stupid people go to the ocean on red flag days. IMO -
chricha, you are a blind greenie? Did you know that CO2 is a trace gas and so is Methane? Look at the graph. Do you actually believe the climate alarmists and their stories? Climate change may be because the earth is warming itself up. So you and your EVs that cannot get even the 500 kms on a charge, as the AC or heater makes the range much less.

Saving is the new buzzword as prices rise in Thailand
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I do not know how low the interest rates have been in Thailand, but in Canada the rate have been super low for quite a while. Now the banks have risen the rates by a couple percent, and people are already saying that they may lose their houses, etc. It seems that people did not understand that the rates would not stay this low. It seems that people have forgotten that interest rates are usually more than 5 percent. Maybe there are more stupid people in the world today. That is my guess. -
Well it is still rainy season, is it not? Here in Alberta Canada the temperature has been 28 to 31C for the daily highs, so no one here will travel to Thailand until the weather in the Fall months of September to November. It is November to March or April that we Canadians, need to escape the cold weather, and will be travelling to the tropics. Good luck with your rainy days.

Thai crypto market feels the pains of global meltdown
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Cryptocurrency News
Gold, or latinum, or other things that actually exist, is better than buying ether or a bottle of air. Bit coin has always been a fake currency to me. If it completely collapses, I will not cry a tear. My gold bar feels real. Just saying. -
Proposal to waive visa fees for foreign tourists to Thailand
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I hope that a visa is only need for longer than 90 days, or 60 days at the shortest. To answer one poster, retired people go on extended holidays. I have usually gone to Thailand for 2 months, since the flights are expensive enough that an escape from Canadian Winter for 2 months is a good break. I guess we will all have to wait to see what the long time plans are going to be for TAT and the Thai government. -
Not everyone get COVID and has no lasting effects. In fact there are lots of people who catch COVID and have lung issues for quite a while longer. Some people have joint pain longer. Some people have bronchitis after they have had COVID. Since this virus is not even three years old, there are many things that are still not known about COVID and its long term issues. However on this forum there are so many experts who seem to know more than the doctors and scientists, that I am amazed. Sarcasm alert. We should all be happy that the Omicron and newest variants are not the same as the first three variants, they certainly killed enough people world wide.

TAT Moves Forward with Carbon-Neutral Tourism in Thailand
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Do you all know that Carbon Dioxide is a trace gas. It is not even 1 percent of the atmosphere. Some countries are charging their people a carbon tax, how ridiculous is that? Now TAT wants to do something carbon neutral, how nice. It is time for al the BS to end. Just welcome back tourists and treat them like they help the country by visiting Thailand. Get rid of some of the visa requirements. Make a 90 day vacation possible without a visa. I am just hoping for a better future for us tourists. It would be nice if the expats could get a break from the government as well. -
Ghislaine Maxwell appeals sex trafficking conviction and sentence
Stargeezr replied to Scott's topic in World News
Considering that Epstein committed suicide, only Maxwell and other living, very wealthy men are still around to charge. It is not easy to charge the very rich for anything. Red Bull guy comes to mind. -
I do not like any religious people who will not keep their business to themselves. I have not ever visited Malaysia nor do I plan to, the same goes for Saudi Arabia. I do have Muslim relatives, but they are very conservative, and do not push the religion. No one if forcing the Muslims to do drugs, or same sex marriage, so I do not see a problem.

Tourism ministry dual pricing proposal for hotel rates
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yes this is typical Thai thinking. In the past when I travelled with my Thai family, I stayed out of sight while they paid the Thai price of the Motel or guest house for the night. It was always lower than the tourist price. I am not surprised. -
Brazilian student arrested in Bali for carrying cannabis from Thailand
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Bali bad, is Singapore or Malaysia worse? Just don't do drugs. -
Hey why isn't the Alpha, Beta or Delta variants not around, it seems that a lot less people are dying, and other are thinking that COVID is just nonsense now. Maybe if some carriers with the original 3 variants start spreading them around, we can be a bit more serious. Weren't them the good old days? Sarcasm alert.
