Too little to late I am afraid, and this is where the negligence and potential lawsuit suing the RTP and the government will be brought in. Unless they are forced to sign papers stating that the money they accept absolves the Country and the RTP of any further lawsuits this will be big. As I live here and so do you, I am sure we can expect to see more as time goes on, unless it gets buried. National press is all over this by the way.

Very much. Negligence in not terminating him back in 2019 after he was finally arrested for his possession of the drugs. All they did was transfer him. If I had an officer working for me, which I did, who was found under the influence and in possession of drugs, not only were they immediately suspended but an Administrative Internal investigation was conducted and they would be terminated. They would also have been given the opportunity to rehabilitate, paid for by the department, and then assisted in finding a new job outside of law enforcement.......tell me they do this instead of just moving someone to an inactive post here. The man also shot a dog if the articles about him are correct and fired rounds in his room....nothing more to be said, because all you can ever say about my posts are that I am bashing Thais.....I call BS on that. I am happy to see the PM and the head of the country stepping in to help these families.

Two lines on the ATK test means you are positive. I would recheck on Monday to see if the lower line has faded. As long as you have been isolating all the Thai Government recommends is 5 days of isolation. Hopefully it clears soon for you.

A very magnanimous event. He should, after all he is the head of the country, and these are his people whom one of the disgraced RTP killed. Sad that it ever came to this as it should have been taken care of years earlier by stripping the man of his job while also putting him in rehab.

Ukraine applies for Nato membership after Russia annexes territory
ThailandRyan replied to Rimmer's topic in World News
I wish what you said was true, then I would be getting richer. However, all of my stocks such as Raytheon, Boeing, Northrop Gruman, and a few others would be making coin, but instead they are loosing money....the US is not getting wealthy from the war.... Folks could not care anyways as to where there money was coming from. -

The Bangkok River Level Thread 2022 - Please post your river level photos

How far from the house foundation @Crossy. Hopefully it drains quickly before the mosquitos start to breed. Stay safe. -
Not as easily as before. Now one needs to do the DLT E-Learning 1 hour on-line course and obtain the completion QR code. Thankfully, they are now allowing walk-ins at many of the DLT's which helps in ensuring the individuals medical certificate which is also required does not expire, since they are only good for 30 days. Some DLT's like Chatuchak also want a Certificate of Residence as well.

Watching TNN now and they are explaining how the water will be slowly heading south towards BKK and most water reservoirs are already at 68% and above with some over 110% full. Tomorrow with the high tide and such the Chao Phyra will be ugly here in BKK. -

Good afternoon to you all, Today I was able to obtain my LTRWP Visa at the One Stop Center in the Chamchuri Square building on the 18th floor. Total time from start to finish was one hour and 30 minutes. I was only the 15th person to be issued the LTR Visa, and that's apparently for all categories. If your using the BOI One Stop Center in BKK you will go to the LTR side first on the 18th floor. AFter you check in at the front desk they will have your case agent and another person come out and meet you. The LTR side is very plush compared to the immigration side. After they review the paperwork you bring with you, don't forget your photo, they will stamp everything and then have you sign it. Please use this time to ask any questions you may have for them. You will then be walked back across the hall to immigration where they will hand the Immigration officer at Window 11 the paperwork. Immigration will then process the paperwork at Window 11, as well as taking your photo, and once they have everything processed they will hand you a stack of papers, which you will then take to WIndow 20, where you will pay. After you are given the receipt from Window 20 you will be given the paperwork back and you will go back to window 11. Hand them the stack and your receipt and then have a seat. In about 10 minutes or so they will call you back up and you will be given your passport with the 10 year Visa Stamp on one side and on the other You will see you have been stamped in for 5 uears, and also have a stamp indicating that you have a multiple re-entry stamp also good for 5 years. As you can see by the photo below at Window 20 payment can only be done by a QR code scan. This is only from a Thai bank and I think this might be an issue for some. TTB Bank and UOB Bank are also not accepted. I remember back in the US I had to pay by a cashiers check at the LA Consulate. I wonder if that would work here. Something to think of and ask the LTR Unit. I did not think of it, sorry. Wishing you all the best of luck in your process, and hopefully they get the digital work permits fixed. I did ask them about that and they are still dealing with system glitches. TR

At least 20 people killed in mass shooting in Thailand: Police
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
No one's bashing anything except a pervasive view shown daily. If that's called culture then it is not warranted as a part of culture. Guess if they showed executions you would like to see that as well. Why do you think they have already stated to folks not to show pictures of this heinous crime. -

Monks are compassionate? this countries take on Buddhism and the wealth it can bring goes in complete contrast to true Buddhism. Monks have killed other monks, used drugs, lain with women and many have been defrocked. It is a very small percentage that are righteous. -

So to you, showing the daily crimes, murders and death scenes where motorbikes and pedestrians get run over is appropriate. In no way shape or form is it appropriate as all it tends to do is deaden ones senses and then it becomes fascinating. Another case just recently of a young man who cut up and dismembered his GF and spread her around because he saw it described on TV says it all. Thai's learn to do these horrid things and become enthralled in them. Watch a Lakorn if you do not believe me, they always seem to blame a demon or body possession for why things happen, not there fault they say.
