You might want to understand that the rules for declassifying a classified document are not as simple as Trump says they are. He can not just say he thought about declassifying them and so now they are In fact he was asked not once, not twice but he was then served a subpoena to return the documents in his possession to the National archives. That is why he is in the cross hairs Sir. No other reason. Trump Reacts to Bill Barr's Remarks on Classified Documents Probe (newsweek.com) "It's very clear that he had no business having those documents," the former attorney general added. "He was given a long time to send them back and he was—they were subpoenaed. And if there's any games being played there, he's going to be very exposed." CNN also reported on Thursday that the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) informed Trump that 16 records would be handed over to Smith, allegedly showing that the former president and his top advisers had knowledge of the correct declassification process while he was president. Aronberg said this development is "significant" as it shows the former president's intent on keeping the documents in his possession.

He did not declassify the documents he had in his possession at MaraLago I am afraid. Your view and backstopping of the truth you believe is not the same as true life events. I will agree to disagree with what you think. The President himself does not have wide sweeping declassification powers. To many security issues in those documents which need to be removed or redacted.

You wonder why his attorneys and former attorneys working for or with him are leaving the sinking ship. Well here is an article to read. Legal expert: Trump lawyers "dropping like flies" as he gets "closer and closer to an indictment" | Salon.com "Here's the other thing that I'm wondering about: the New York Times also reported there were two attorneys left," Aronberg said. "You've got James Trusty and John Rowley leading the defense. What happened to Chris Kise? Chris Kise is a former Florida solicitor general, very well respected; he got a $3 million retainer up front and then he was sidelined by Donald Trump because Trump didn't agree with his advice. Kise wanted Trump to be more conciliatory, more cooperative with DOJ rather than confrontational."

The election is over, a new round of "war" begins
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
For those of us who have been here for many elections and a few coups, It will be interesting next week when things start to shake out even more with the EC and coalition formations solidifying. As always I always seem to need to be in Bangkok during these times if potential military involvement as needing to get to the doctors or visit the US Embassy, and of course our condo just happens to be near ground zero...... -
I believe that you have made a mistake. No President or anyone has the right to have documents in their possession until they have been truly declassified and released by the National archives after all information which could be a breach of national security have been redacted. Wait a minute I just thought that so it must be true as Trumps says I can think of the document and it is declassified.

Property Transfer
ThailandRyan replied to Dp1231's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
A foreigner can have the house in his name depending on how the finance was done with the developer, but the land can never be in his name. It is a fallacy when people state that as a foreigner you cannot own the home. What usually happens is the foreigner provides the money and the Thai buys the land . They then have a house built on it. The foreigner then obtains a usufruct giving him the ability to stay in the house which he is half owner in with the GF on her land. If the developer financed the build of the house, then the foreigner and the GF were listed on the paperwork together. Hence the need for the foreigner to sign off on the paperwork. If she can not get him to sign the paperwork releasing himself from the property she may need to go through a civil proceeding in court. She needs to find a real-estate lawyer to run this by. -
So MTG how many did he not let in from the remaining 35 countries since there are currently 195 countries in the world. Pray tell what were the 160 countries were the illegal immigrants from? She is just a flaming crazy woman. https://www.worldometers.info/geography/how-many-countries-are-there-in-the-world/

Will this keep them in the air. I use Thai smile as much as I can when I fly from BKK to UTH. Maybe they can start flying from Hua Hin to BKK or elsewhere. -

Apparently it was because of things Trump said that incriminated himself during the CNN town hall and Parlatore was already fed up with Trump. JUST IN: Trump Classified Docs Attorney Quits Team Days After Trump Pops Off On Case At CNN Town Hall (mediaite.com) But several well-versed observers also pointed out that Trump made a series of potentially incriminating statements about the documents case, among others. Collis and Reid described several of those statements, but lost in the reporting was the fact that Trump lost it and attacked Collins as a “NASTY person” as she pressed him hard on the Special Counsel Jack Smith-led probe.

Future MFP MP arrested for drink driving in Bangkok
ThailandRyan replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
At least she too full responsibility for her actions. One wonders if she resigned on her own accord or was advised to. We all make mistakes, and she got caught up in celebrating her win, to bad she now needs to be replaced. The question is, will they take whoever came in second or can the MFP put someone in her place. -
When my Kids were in school, any teacher teaching a controversial subject, like sex education, where a video would be shown, had to send a permission slip home to the parents of the children. That permission slip would explain in detail what the course the children were taking was about, and what if any videos would be shown during the course of the class. The parents were also given an opportunity to view the course syllabus as well as the videos if they had any worries and, or concerns. Only after the permission slip was signed could the student be enrolled in the course or enter the classroom on the day the video's were to be viewed. If the student was not allowed to view the videos per the permission slip they had to leave the room until after it was shown. I guess things are not like that anymore if this teacher showed the video and the parent complained.
