Reading some other information on other sites. It appears Putin's intentional bombing of the dam was meant to stop the Ukrainian counteroffensive, but by doing this he has committed his largest war crime atrocity. Can Mike Pence woo evangelicals away from Trump?
ThailandRyan replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Pence would be a good candidate if he could shake of the problems of being associated with his former president, and the negative views many have of him doing nothing to set the story straight. -
We're they asked to come in to discuss the ongoing investigation possibly? The only times lawyers show up at another attorneys location is to either discuss the case against there client before an indictment, to reach an out of court settlement, deliver some court related documents either requested, or a serve a notice to the other attorney issued by a court. One can only wonder if the other shoe is ready to drop and the case to enter an indictment.

The sun will be shining but not in Trumps house I am afraid. The poor man..... https://www.allsides.com/news/2023-06-01-1620/politics-trump-caught-tape-saying-he-should-ve-declassified-document-about-iran Former President Donald Trump was reportedly caught on audiotape bemoaning the fact that he did not declassify a secret plan for potential U.S. military attacks on Iran — contradicting his claims that he declassified all the documents he took from the White House.

About 9% of adults in 30 countries identify as LGBTQ, survey says
ThailandRyan replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
The following portions of the linked article show that we as a human race still have a long way to go in accepting folks for who they are in this world. "Among the countries surveyed, the survey shows more than half of respondents said they support same-sex marriage where it is legal." "The majority of respondents in 26 countries said same-sex couples are as likely to raise children successfully as other parents, according to the survey." "Boyon told CNN he was surprised there was more support for transgender people in countries like Thailand, Italy, and Spain compared with the United States, Eastern Europe, and Great Britain." -

COVID makes comeback in Thailand as booster fatigue leaves door open
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Puts into perspective the need for updated annual boosters to be developed like what is done for the Flu and Pneumonia. Add in the fact that there are 4 distinct regions where the viruses differentiate and thus a need for different types of boosters depending upon where you are. It is no longer a one jab fits all categories due to mutations. -
Will they Ban the Book of Mormon as it discusses things that a child should not read about either, like Polygamy,,,,oh wait....... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/book-of-mormon-now-challenged-in-utah-school-district-that-banned-the-bible/ar-AA1c3zRL This is totally getting out of control. COVID makes comeback in Thailand as booster fatigue leaves door open

Your absolutely correct, too many people want to just disregard that Covid is still an issue and that people should still be taking precautions while doing certain things. -
Congress approves debt deal, averting a US default
ThailandRyan replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Now lets see what those who wanted to see a default have to say. Wonder if the republicans who voted for the deal will face the wrath of the former POTUS. Hopefully the US can get on the right footpath and start moving forward. The divisiveness has to end. Read an article earlier where it said the party of Regan is dying. Apparently Lindsey graham threw a senate floor tantrum with the current vote on the debt ceiling. 'The party of Reagan is dying!' COVID makes comeback in Thailand as booster fatigue leaves door open

John, they stopped wearing masks a few days before school re-started in there everyday lives. While the daughter was here with us on the holiday break we only wore masks when we were in areas with crowds. The father now works as a postal delivery bike rider so he has many contacts during the day, the wife runs a pet grooming salon, and the grandmother and grandfather work as cleaners at the local Talad. So many points of contact. It is what it is. This is now the 4th time the stepdaughter has had it, and this time is not as bad as when she was hospitalized for it. -

John, The grandfather is at Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital, and they did have room for him as he was moved into the ICU. He has Covid related Pneumonia my stepdaughter informed me. She feels bad because she believes she was the one who brought it home from school. She went to school feeling fine, was sent home with the rest of her class at the beginning of the day on Tuesday, but by noon was feeling feverish and had a sore throat. By Wednesday the whole family was down. Pretty rapid spread. -

COVID makes comeback in Thailand as booster fatigue leaves door open
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
As I posted on another OP on Tuesday, the stepdaughter was sent home as well as the rest of her reduced class from school, as over half were out with Covid. She ended up with Covid later that day. Moving forward to today, we received a call about an hour ago from the stepdaughter who let us know that her father, her stepmother, Grandfather and Grandmother are all very sick with Covid. In fact her Grandpa has been hospitalized as he is having a hard time breathing. The step daughter sounds horrible still herself, she indicated she had a fever for the past 2 days but today it is gone. The hospital is seeing many new patients now she said, and Grandpa was moved ahead of the que as he needed oxygen. This is in the Sai Mai Area of Bangkok. For those of you who think Covid is nothing and is not a problem, you better think again. It does affect children as well. -

Sarcasm I am guessing. People trip and fall daily, or even just trip but recover. As we all get older it does become an issue, but does not indicate we have lost our mental faculties. Seems he made a good recovery after his minor incident and continued onward finishing out the ceremony. https://rollcall.com/2023/06/01/biden-falls-at-graduation-but-gets-back-up-and-finishes-ceremony/ After being helped up, Biden pointed at an object on the stage and appeared to indicate he tripped on it. A reporter traveling with Biden sent a dispatch indicated the object was a sandbag. The reporter said the president stood until the ceremony ended a few minutes later. ....... Biden is not the first senior U.S. official to take a tumble this year, after Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell tripped and fell at a fundraising event in Washington, D.C. The Kentucky Republican, 81, missed several weeks of Senate work after suffering a concussion and injuring his ribs.

Seems to me he is pointing at what caused his brief fall.

COVID makes comeback in Thailand as booster fatigue leaves door open
ThailandRyan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It appears that Thailand is not alone with rising cases. It appears they are increasing in many places, but it was to be expected. Since Covid is now endemic we will see these fluctuations yearly during the certain seasons which we see increases for other illnesses occur. Could be a myriad of reasons. https://ourworldindata.org/covid-cases- 363 replies
