Without wanting to single out the Chinese travelers like other countries, and without giving this any real thought, Thailands Government is to blame for the issues created for travelers coming from any place other than China. With that said many folks planned there trips months ago and not at the last minute based upon work scheduling etc... Thailands government and this rehashed Covid requirement roll out, which now includes all and everyone was done so as to not single out China. They are now responsible for the losses of those travelers. Wonder If any had travel insurance which will cover the losses or if they will be able to rebook since the airlines followed the new rules put in place only 48hours or less before may were kept of the flights for not meeting the now needed requirements. Total idiotic behavior by a flip flopping government in my view.

An investigation should be done by police not the congress or a committee as Hunter is not and never was an elected official. If any true evidence is found linking who you call "The Big Man" by a real criminal investigation then DOJ would become involved. Congresses committee investigations are done to uncover irregularities of elected officials not civilians no matter how they are related. The Jan 6th committee was set up to find the causes of the insurrection and name those responsible nothing more.

They then stamped me back in to the original end date of the 5 year stamp. Look at your end date on the stamp they gave you to confirm it's the 5 year end date.

TNN 16 just reported that the 1st arrivals from China tomorrow at Suvarnabhumi Airport will be welcomed by government officials, dancers and that 20k Chinese are expected to arrive tomorrow here in Thailand. The news also showed the Chinese airports were also packed with travelers this afternoon and all outbound flights to all destinations were fully booked.

Just sent this onto my friend who was booking a flight from the US to Phuket. She had just booked a refundable flight and is unvacvinated. She has now canceled.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if when they ground the government to a halt and so on, that they lost there pay as well, including travel expenses, paid for cars etc...

Crazy, between high season prices and the pandemic increased prices, it is making it unaffordable for many. My son is looking g to fly here in September and even those flights are in the $2500 to $3000 price range, and that's cattle class for round trip. Over double what it cost him in 2019, at least he wouldn't need a hotel or have to pay for food this time around....

Was he licensed to operate a motorbike in his home country? If not then no insurance will cover his injuries. His Travel insurance also, from the main article, only covered him for 30 days. One wonders why his policy was not longer as most policies cover you for as short as 31 days up to 3 months or even longer. Rental companies also need to ensure folks have a proper license or IDP that shows they can operate a motorbike. I did not see on the article if he was licensed or not. Friend just tried to book flights to Phuket from California, cheapest fair was 2800 USD. She then tried to find hotels around where she wants to train at and they have nothing available. So just where and how will this be a cheap trip to paradise for the Chinese

Tell me in your view how this economy here in Thailand is stronger and thus ensuring the drop in other currencies to its own Thai baht. A weak market across the board as it is should maintain some sort of slow up and downs not sharp steep drops without intervention. The dollar rose because of the feds rate hikes and the economy of the US doing better than expected against others. I just closed my investigations company in the US and Philippines because of external market factors.

So Thailand did nothing to make the baht stronger like raising interest rates or using words like no recession, strong economy and inviting speculation on the baht.
