Go in person to the Labour office. You may just be pleasantly surprised. You will get nowhere unless you get involved in person. Letters, emails etc are a waste of time in this situation.

Thais/Siamese are generally a helpful bunch, particularly where illness is concerned, a good example of what you call Thainess stands for.
