    SCB might consider telling one of its' directors who, as a member of the current govt, is proposing taxing foreign remittances and foreign income, that she should reconsider so as to avoid turning away foreign investment.

    As far as I know the requirement to attend in person only applies to the handing over of new passports, for security reasons.

    Agreed. In over 50 years I've never even felt threatened in Thailand, let alone attacked. However I have been mugged twice in metro Manila, and once in South London.

    Not sure about that. Last time I was in the UK I was struck by the numbers of thick, ignorant, humourless people who seemed to predominate. Bore no resemblance to the country I grew up in. I hope you're speaking Thai to the Thais, not just speaking loudly in English.

    This article is rubbish. Problems in Sweden are not about the right wing undermining press freedom, they are about the left wing supporting uncontrolled immigration which is destroying a hitherto peaceful and cohesive society.
