HHS Issues Narrower Definitions of Sex, Sparking Criticism from Legal and Health Experts
There should be two categories, male and female. Additionally those born with unclear reproductive anatomy , traditionally known as hermaphrodites, more recently as intersex, should be allowed to choose in which if the two categories they wish to be referenced. Trans people are either male or female, whatever their sexual preference.

Remember the olden days in Thailand?
If you were doing Visa trips to Cambodia that's not so long ago. The Cambodian border used to be closed to all visitors.

And then there were none.
Personally I find peoples' updates/experiences of dealing with government departments interesting and sometimes useful. I also enjoy the occasional joke, albeit very occasional these days.

Non-Imm-O: Marriage vs. Retirement based
Changed from marriage to retirement some years ago because it involves less hassle, although more expensive. A personal choice that would not suit everybody.

Thai Pride.
I think it is almost entirely down to never being colonized when their neighbouring countries were under either French or British rule. It was actually convenient for the colonial powers to have Thailand as a bulwark separating their colonies in east Asia. Thais, however, are taught that it was due to the colonialists fearing Thai bravery and military expertise. The downside today is that few Thais have the language skills to communicate in international forums.

Labour Struggles to Get Britain Back to Work Amid Rising Employment Concerns
With all this going on Britain is sitting on huge reserves of gas and oil (and coal) which the government is refusing to exploit, preferring to import the same fuels from overseas in pursuing its' net zero policy. Completely daft, and a betrayal of British people.

Police Raid Cannabis Operation in Don Mueang Market, Three Foreigners Arrested
For the arrested workers this is more a violation of visa and work permit laws than an infringement of regulations regarding cannabis. Remains to be seen if the Thai business owner had the necessary permits to process cannabis.

Remember the olden days in Thailand?
Going back to 1962, when I first arrived, rules regarding foreigners in Thailand were always enforced.

Has anyone in Bangkok checked their lungs?
83 years old, and living mainly in Bangkok for over 40 years, and until recently a cigarette smoker (now down to 1 small cigar per day), so far so good. No lung issues.
