  1. On the Telegram app channel, there is a sports service available for a small yearly fee that gives you all the Sports listings and which worldwide channels they are available on with IPTV. I use Football on TV, but there are others that give all the different sports listings altogether, the same day as the games. They also list more obscure channel feeds where big games are available, and you get better reception. Example is, this week Liverpool will play Man City, no doubt it will be the main event channel on Sky TV or TNT etc which means with huge traffic to the site, chances of buffering increase a lot. It will then probably be on a number of alternative feeds such as Hub, Bein sports, Now TV, Optus channels, Super sports PL, Stan sports, etc all in different countries. The trick is to put all these channels in your favourites and flick through them all 30 minutes before a game, and attempt to get the most stable feed without buffering.
  2. No, thanks, I was with him a long time and many followed me, on my recommendations. It's 2,200 baht for a year now with Comfy, compared to 7200 baht, for more or less the same service. His service worked, but towards the end of my time, certainly was not without problems, Eric did get buffering on his service, especially with sports and my beloved football, and his answer was, to take a further subscription backup service on top of the existing subscription. The issues became worse when I moved from 3BB to AIS, he said they were throttling the service, but now I do not having issues and can use it, usually without a VPN. I have come to the conclusion that any of these IPTV services have a limited lifespan, and it is best not to take out extended contracts with any of them despite their offers of great deals for 12 months. They eventually get caught and closed down. When the service goes down or gets blocked, you have no chance of a refund. At the end of the day, they are all SECONDARY sellers themselves, meaning they are just acting as agents, shopping around networks to use services that are available to us direct, and reselling them for profit. However, people should go where they get the services they want, from whomever they want. Bear in mind, all these IPTV services we use are illegal, and as the saying goes' nothing lasts forever '
  3. Well, that's exactly what they do, gossip, get jealous, fornicate, gamble and engage in brain and organ destroying Lao khao and Yaa Baa. They will then watch the rice grow and say they are farmers and have it tough.
  4. The sad thing is, his life won't change much after murdering three people. He will still have a floor bed space, he will have food every day and washing facilities, and a TV in the room, along with basic medical facilities. He won't have to worry about electric bills or rent. This is the problem when you have next to nothing, you have nothing to lose, so no hardship for many of them.
  5. I moved a while ago.
  6. I've been with Comfy a while now, and although not perfect, it's quite a good, cheap service. I pay a fraction of what I used to pay, and in my old service I had many buffering problems. Most obstacles of buffering can be overcome by turning on as VPN. All IPTV services are only good for so long, but Comfy seems to be up there. Maybe, you just had a bad experience.
  7. I know you are trolling, but there are the cookies and there are the gummies such as jelly sweets laced with the necessary ingredients and readily available bin Thailand. So No, you don't have to smoke it. How would you smoke a bloody cookie anyway?
  8. What are you talking about? In the UK at least, everybody draws old age pension at 67 now for me, when the OP retired it was 65.
  9. I understand you @gejohesch fully, because I am in a similar situation, but my partner would rather not know I was saving for her. She wouldn't be able to resist trying to get her hands on it, as she has a problem with gambling, especially online, which can be controlled when I am physically here........to a degree!! I do have a will in English and Thai, signed and stamped by a correct Thai law office. We also have funds in Cambodia, which can be withdrawn by myself or jointly. I do stress myself sometimes, about life beyond me, but the amazing thing is, they never seem to! I would love to do something whereby on my demise, she was drip fed money each month, enough to live happily on. Most of us know, left to their own devices, and with a gambling habit, it would be gone in double quick time, and the family sharks would be circling before my funeral ashes went out.
  10. Don't you mean missing an exit stamp? The OP and other people using the gates were exiting the country, I believe.
  11. It seems weird if you can't use it, yet a person who has an annual work permit and visa can? I would have thought the circumstances were similar. Do work permit holders use re-entry permits?
  12. I wish members on here would stop saying this, it is an urban myth. Prisoners getting reasonably decent, certainly edible, balanced meals in jail. These can be topped up and improved upon by buying from the prison shops, food is also available in the yards using tickets from your prison card, at so much per day. It used to be around 200 baht a day if memory serves. Family members and visitors can put money into the prisoner's account as well so that they can buy essentials.
  13. My cards have always worked. I am with KTB. Sometimes if you are using a KTC credit card, they tell you to inform your credit card company that you are going abroad. With debit card, just enter your PIN as you would in Thailand, another good thing is most UK card ATMs charge you nothing for withdrawals.
  14. The official legal punishment? Well, let's start the ball rolling with three murders, and go from there.
  15. This for the next exciting episode, it might be on pay per view.
  16. Sihanoukville is ruined.
  17. This year I was finishing building a house in the UK, this was all self funded, so I slowed down my transactions to Thailand and used funds already here to live on, that I hadn't before. This reduced my cash surplus in Thailand, as UK funds were needed for the house project. I always liked a healthy balance in Thailand in my account, even though it served no benefit to me. I am not saying I am going to jump on the bandwagon and go asking for a TIN number, but I have just done some quick calculations, I probably still have missed something out, but here goes: I worked out I have transferred 428,000 baht only bank to bank. Furthermore, I have withdrawn from ATM's but not those connected to my Thai bank. This money is savings, I get no state pension (too young) or private pension. Well, I am in a Long Term Relationship for 28 years, but we never married, and I pay her a salary every month but probably cannot claim for that either. If I take single man's allowance of 60,000 baht, plus the 150,000 baht allowed tax-free, then add back the allowed 25,000 baht for my health insurance, that comes to 235,000 baht. So worse case scenario, tax on 192,000, well, 5% of the 150-300K equates to 7,500 baht plus 10% of 42,000 equates at 4,200 baht. So, the total bill would be 11,700 baht tax due. It's not worth getting in a sweat about. I still think with monies transferred being savings, I have no tax due to pay, but I think this is the most I would pay if absolutely necessary. I think I don't need a plan B with my houses and cars here all paid for, I will just minimize transfers here bank to bank. How much would it cost me hanging around outside Thailand, in Cambodia or Vietnam, with rents, utilities, food, and spending money for 6 months of the year!
  18. And who is the Judge of that?
  19. Well, that's how it seems to read at the moment. And who is going to do that if they are of sound mind?
  20. I hope he falls over them, leaving the mighty Reds 11 points clear.
  21. There are advantages of having UK 12 size feet!
  22. Simple, You don't transfer any monies to Thailand over and above your tax allowances and permitted deductibles. I think people will stop transferring money to buy any big ticket items, unless they can prove its savings prior to 2024. I think quite a slump in condo sales. Nobody wants to be jumping through hoops to prove their funds are from savings prior to 2024. I for one, won't be buying any cars if this is how it is all going to pan out, I change my car every three years, or I was doing. Then we have those that will start being in the country for no more than 179 days. This will happen, especially if it relates to sale of a major asset abroad, and the possibility of what you are saying above. To me, they've shot themselves in the foot if they pursue this, as it will stifle investment from foreigners wanting to retire here. They are not grasping it, that there are plenty more choices these days for wealthy retirees, or actually standard retirees. Europe, South America, and the obvious ones in SE Asia. Thailand just isn't THE BIG CHEESE ANY MORE. It's becoming expensive, the main draw used to be for many, cheap living, sun, sea, and sand and of course, the go go bars and FUN. When the cons start to outweigh the pros, people will decide with their feet.
  23. I think you'll find that he came from a reasonably wealthy family, who were the owners of the 1.2 million pound farmhouse, they also sent him to private boarding school as a child. So, it seems the guy was overcome by mental issues. He had a number of failed businesses in Thailand and the UK. He is now in a secure mental institution. However, he did in fact sponge off his parents regularly, he moved his wife and kids in with them, and felt entitled. He got them to re-mortgage their house to give him 240K to resolve visa issues for his wife. He assaulted his wife and both his parents in separate incidents, a nasty, vicious attack, particularly on his father, who was in his mid-eighties. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/son-51-attacked-parents-over-40-year-grudge-for-sending-him-to-boarding-school-130056940.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12959151/Mother-two-charged-murdering-seven-year-old-son-assault-victim-husband-battered-daughters-Peppa-Pig-book.html
  24. The house wasn't his, it was his parents and he moved his wife and kids in, there's far more in my links below. Please read link below. It was his parent's place, and they even re-mortgaged it for 240K to bail this misfit out. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/son-51-attacked-parents-over-40-year-grudge-for-sending-him-to-boarding-school-130056940.html https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12959151/Mother-two-charged-murdering-seven-year-old-son-assault-victim-husband-battered-daughters-Peppa-Pig-book.html
