Concerns Mount Over Fate of 6 Thai Hostages Held by Hamas in Gaza

And don't forget Qatar, who always play both sides of the fence. -
I'd like to go on a world cruise in the next year with my other half, I think I'll set up a GoFundMe and state what a lousy life I've had and no savings. Is that how it works? It's as bad as foreign begpackers hanging on the streets of Bangkok asking for money so they can fly to their next destination.

No righteousness whatsoever. Common sense, you go on holiday, you get insurance. Insurance is part and parcel of travelling. GOFundMe has become the fallback of the feckless, and it's almost a foregone conclusion these days, that in accidents when death occurs, especially younger travellers, they are uninsured. This was an accident waiting to happen, riding a bike with no helmet, or insurance in a world renowned dangerous hotspot for bike riders. GoFundMe campaigns stared out for the genuinely desperate who had unforeseen accidents or situations through no fault of their own. Where does a person's responsibility for travelling start and finish? Here we have a situation where he just hasn't bothered obtaining any kind of insurance but managed to get himself to Thailand, book his accommodation, find his transport to his destination, So, he is not stupid or in need of assistance understanding things. Feelings for his family?? They are just empty words on a faceless messageboard, that can be bandied about. Do I like seeing things like this on the board, No, I don't, it's sad and unfortunate. We can write whatever we want on an anonymous board, and your anonymous feelings won't bring him back nor be of any comfort.

It's not the death or lack of sympathy, it's the constant stream of begging and Go Fund Me on here and all social media that annoys people. He could have done something to totally take away this stress from himself and his family..........................GOT INSURANCE! 50% and probably more Thais don't wear helmets, you are right, but they aren't on the Go fund me bandwagon either. 28 years old is not young and stupid, he is old enough to know better and is a man. It is reckless as regards to doing something the rest of us build in to the cost of a holiday.......INSURANCE. My family are regularly over here, and I witter at them about insurance, even on occasions, I get backlash from them saying to me ' Do you think we are stupid? '

They should burn him in Thailand and take the remains home. Beggars can't be choosers. Agreed, and it's all too common these days.

What is apparent in all this Covid outbreak is that it was a global overreaction to a relatively MINOR epidemic. Yes, it affected the old, those already sick, those on medication with weakened immune systems, but for the unbelievable costs involved and a global shutdown, was it worth all that?......... I don't think many governments, on hindsight, think it was. Many countries will NOT be so quick to jump on the bandwagon in shutting down their economies in the event of another pandemic.

You see because this is Thai on Thai we won't hear the usual crap today. They must have done something or stared badly at them; they must have done something to cause it because Thai youths never behave like this, and I've been here 15 years without a problem, blah blah, This behaviour, unfortunately, is how many of the Thai youth are evolving. No rules or parameters nor parental care, the same as The West. The mother of the 19-year-old, 'He's a good boy, he must have fallen under a bad influence or crowd' a typical mother's response over here, blame the other kid, who was 15!!! -
Stop being a clown. I've probably been here a lot longer than you. Nothing about blacklisting, stop your silly scaremongering when nobody knows what is going on with the taxation system apart from rumours. What will be enforced and not enforced is a matter for debate. It is also NOT LAW what you are talking about regards taxation changes, and they can be ignored until further clarification. Far too many ' experts ' on here whose opinion is just that, an opinion without basis, so it's guesswork and plenty of 'What ifs'.

Japanese Tourist Fined for Defying Sky Lantern Ban in Chiang Mai

Old English one. Don't release sky lanterns if you are a foreigner and within the sight of the Chiang Mai plod. Seriously, absolute nonsense of a fine, taken completely over the top limits by the Police in their greed for money. 3,000 fine, absolutely crackers! -
I think I have done enough research on this without your sixpence worth, and furthermore, I won't be jumping for anybody. Also, whether Thais have a birthright is irrelevant if they are skirting or avoiding Thai tax law, or are you saying being Thai makes them exempt? Happy New Year, stop writing drivel.

I don't think it needs two truckloads of young men to help her move a few possessions out of a rented room? How many chattels and goods could she possibly have, she only checked in December 10th? Usually, a couple of plastic 7-11 bags does it. He wasn't the landlord according to the story, but he was the apartment block manager. IMO, more believable, is that she called in bored young thugs for exactly the reasons of what happened, and she knew would happen. She instigated a murder.
