You would think the RTP had better things to do, they don't have any reputation to tarnish except in their heads. -

Thailand’s weekly Covid-19 cases surge over 500 with three fatalities

The Thais don't see mask-wearing as protecting the public from catching Covid from them, they see it the other way around. -
When I first arrived in Thailand many years ago now, I studied Thai on a one-to-one basis as I had a hotel and found it more convenient to fit with my days, also I didn't want to sit in a class as I would have been too embarrassed. I was informed a few weeks ago that my former teacher had passed away. I think we all forget that time marches on. After two years of Thai, where I also studied reading and writing as the teacher said if you can read and write, you can forget the tones as they will come naturally as the written language was accented, I moved on to try Lao as I just found it interesting. At that time there was a teacher from Pakse, PDR Lao in Pattaya who did private one-to-one as well as selling tours, in Sunnee Plaza, South Pattaya. I also had several maids who were Lao nationals working under the radar. When I sold up and moved on to Isaarn, it was fairly easy to blend into the Isaarn dialect, although I would describe Isaarn as a rougher and lazier form of Lao than the actual Lao language which is far more gentler and precise. Up here, very few speak English and those that actually can refuse or can't be bothered to use it. You are forced to speak Isaarn. There is a former manager of Top Charoen who is a university graduate who likes to speak English with me, but mostly the others cannot speak a word or are too lazy to use English.

Where have you got your information? Speak for yourself. You've chosen the wrong one to get into a debate about the Thai language pal, I speak both Thai and Lao, and no they are not the same. I have been in a relationship with a Thai national for 27 years. I am 30 years in this country, I also have a command of Spanish which it would take me three or four months to get acquainted with again having not used it for so long and schoolboy French as well as my native English. So I suggest you check your facts before spouting on here.

You don't think Thailand is going to allow that COVID nonsense back into the media just when tourism is bouncing back? Far more interesting stories like tourist forecasts, the Ukraine war and the Israel-Gaza conflict to occupy the media. Leave Covid on the back burner. -
He will get to the bottom of nothing. His focus will be on limiting damage to the filthy RTP by attempting to place ' another spin ' on what occurred. Then we will hear it is being investigated, a committee set up, yada yada yada until it disappears from the headlines. It was only recently they wey were raiding his house for ' graft ' and wasn't it him as well who had his car shot up whilst he was in a massage parlour when under suspension? Yes, it was! Big Joke by name, Bigger joke by nature.

What an ill-informed and ill-thought-out dopey comment. Have you any idea what went on leading up to the murder? You need to go on a refresher course regarding your humanitarian and social skills.
