Kanchanaburi Border Run
Scouse123 replied to Scoobydoo1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I don't do border runs, I have retirement extension, but I just like to save space in my passport. I actually did do one earlier this year, but it wasn't a border run. We crossed the land border at Chong Chom as I had a minibus booked to take my UK family to see the temples. -
I see them in the village around here going up to the local hookers joint to sit with, and go with men old enough to be their grandfathers. I see them playing the Mia Noi to policemen and bragging about it, and all these are Thais. I also see 13 and 14-year-old girls with babies in tow to local village boys. A 17-year-old is not a minor in my view or in the view of European governments with their varying ages of consent, and certainly wasn't in Thailand years ago, when anything went. So distasteful as it is, she was out there putting it on a plate and prostituting herself.

Locals are the BIGGEST CULPRITS! What are you talking about? And there's a big difference between your 14,15 or 15-year-old daughters and a girl selling sex in a massage shop or dancing on a stage. She doesn't want to work in the fields in Isaarn and prefers the cash, sex, drugs, and rock and roll and the bright lights of Sin City like many of them. She isn't dragged there or handcuffed.

1. They don't have an extradition treaty. 2. For Germany to prosecute it must be an illegal act in Germany, having sex with a 17-year-old isn't. 3. Big Joke is trying to take the focus off the fact that his RTP took bribes to let him go. And that is also why they would never extradite him voluntarily for bilateral relations. All European governments are well aware how filthy the RTP is.

Drug suspect accuses police of 300,000 baht extortion and rape
Scouse123 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Absolute pieces of filth, and these prats are supposedly upholding the law. There is no law or justice in this country. The Police are just gangsters in uniform and the courts no better, as they go along with it knowing it is wrong. They are all morally bankrupt. -
Who, but the most adventurous or mentally challenged, would want a train journey like that after a long international flight.

Kanchanaburi Border Run
Scouse123 replied to Scoobydoo1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have answered you with the easy way for Cambodia. If the Myanmar border was open, of course there would be fees, it is inevitable, but it isn't so it doesn't matter. -
Kanchanaburi Border Run

Hi, You are doing it all wrong for Cambodia. Apply online and pay direct to Cambodian government for a tourist visa 1 week before you intend to use it. It will be sent to your email in the form of a PDF, and you print it, cut it out and staple it into your passport. After your trip, take it out of your passport, and you have an unscathed clean page plus you have paid the correct fee to the Cambodian government online. Nobody will stick it in to your passport, they will just stamp in and out on a nearby page. I do it all the time. https://www.evisa.gov.kh/ -
So what has that got to do with regulations to be deployed in Thailand?

I agree, I had my family here earlier this year including my ex wife, sister and niece and they all wanted to see it. At breakfast the following day they were all adding up how much they had spent, which was plenty! , buying drinks in the bars for those asking etc. In fact, all of them spent more in that one night in Nana than any other night in a three country tour of Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Their comments were that they were glad of the experience and now knew what they were talking about should anybody mention Nana Plaza in The UK. It obviously wouldn't be something they would do on a regular basis on a trip to Thailand. In essence, it was a bit of fun and a laugh. Moving on from that, my comments were mainly aimed at the Chinese influencer, who dressed provactively and then slagged off tourists who approached her in Nana Plaza red light district. in that location, what did she honestly expect? I was pointing out if she wanted a chilled night with no hassles from men then Nana Plaza wasn't probably the best choice. I think she sought the place out deliberately. I believe she just did it for hits and publicity online as that is where these so called ' influencers ' derive their income, with their ' likes and shares and follows '

I think and I CERTAINLY HOPE, that posters are reading into this taxing business completely wrong. The Thai government cannot tax you on incoming funds from your home country that have already been taxed or your pensions. I also don't believe they are aiming this at foreigners residing in the country, more likely, at Thais that are circumnavigating the tax system in Thailand by spending a certain amount of time abroad. Anyway, I don't even believe this silly plan will come to fruition and I think its just sound bytes and white noise.

Illegal Bangkok Bar Raided, 100-Plus Drug Users Found

You know I was going to make that same comment as you have already posted. Isn't it ridiculous? It just shows how little they really do in the form of work. -
So they are leaving it up to the person who has been drinking to decide when they are fit to drive? What could go wrong? A drunk neither knows nor accepts that they are drunk,.............. message to the DP of Thailand............... It's the same when you are stupid!
