If the developers or agent are still using their bank accounts - should be quite easy to find them. The thais are very good at locating people with their village networks. Also not sure if they have ANPR systems yet but tracking their car/bike movements might provide a clue . Where did the money go...can it be recovered? Do the agents/developer have to belong to some kind of association to get their licence? if they have breached that code .Make the regulator responsible for the losses - then the regulator has an obligation to recover the money and ban the agent /developer from future operations...otherwise what's the point of any of these organisations? does it really require TV exposure to get anything done .Why is that?

i think this question arises for 1 reason only .It encourages us to check the facts ,weigh up and form an opinion. That is it's value.Because if we do it for this question then we are more likely to do it for another...however it also teases us with the question: would our Govt knowingly lie to us to create a false perception..WMD, Pandemic, vaccines, diesel, crimes from immigrants etc..

Thaksin Reveals PM's Anti-Pollution Plan Initiated from Davos

Can you imagine this country trying to phase out diesel? it hasnt even been mentioned ...in fact it is probably churning out more disel vehicles - i would say the minister fro transport has not done enough .free bus rides on those filthy ndiesel monters is the not the way forward - start by scrapping them - or convert to electric. Everybody in the world would like silent quiet Garbage trucks- why dont they start there??? waste to energy plants can even charge the things up .. -
Good point -it might be a requirement at either visa renewal or work permit.i expect to pay something but i would like the trash collected regularly and on time(which means basically extra trucks to cover those not in service) and then if you subscribe to a news publication like Bangkok Post- a vote.Taxation without representation is immoral.(although i believe the UK has reinstated voters rights if living abroad for longer than 10 years).

seen this happen in Phuket too ....except the guy who lit the firework - one of those clay ones -was being hunted down by an enormous Marine looking fella - after one of the fragments hit his G/F...alcohol and fireworks are't a good fit .i suppose a clamp down on selling them would produce no results

you are very lucky to find loose leaf tea.....recently i noticed how difficult it is to get Lipton loose leaf ( or t bag) a million coffee products but alas Thais do not understand tea - thai tea is a milky affair. Only product is dimar tea which is not very good but better than nothing .Nowadays you have to buy it online - no point going to the local supermarkets or 7/11,big c , makro, lotus. Tea the most popular drink in UK. barely given a second look by the stockists of thai stores ..yet Vietnam is awash with the stuff mostly green tea.Lastly one is required to stir one's tea in the same direction as the earth spins, for a truly perfect cuppa

Thaksin Negotiates for Paetongtarn Amid Potential PM Suspension
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
i get the distinct feeling that Thaksin does not know right from wrong....just seems like he thinks he is above the law all the time.Who are these secretive people that can influence the law ? are they dangerous to the stability of the country?do they represent the will of the people or do they have their own agenda ..? Either Thaksin return instructions were not clear or he has flouted them. -
it's up to the national carrier(Thai Air) to show the way on prices ...otherwise the other airlines could theoretically choke off visitors by having high prices ...steer them towards their more profitable routes..??

Advisor Urges Public Not to Criticise PM Paetongtarn for using iPad
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
i think the actual point is : can she debate in public .it is unusual that a person gaining the top job has not already shown their skills in a public forum and that it is not a square peg in a round hole. -
absolutely bloody nightmare : lost my whatsapp, Line accounts....telegram got duplicated. stopped using a uk sim and relied on roaming - worked fine in London . Ibiza not at all .picture the scene ...you arrive at the airport- your roaming doesnt work ( possibly something to do with a computer outage in spain) no problem just pick up a sim at the airport....No sims at airport. pick up hire car- no sat nav book a taxi and i follow him to my hotel... next 4 days spent trying to get a new sim to work - it did for 1 day lol i dont recommend uk sims either- most will tie you into a contract that favours them massively - they will pursue you for charges leveied when you not even in the country or using the sim . This should be illegal. 2 phones 2 sims is the only solution without too many headaches when travelling prebuy roaming - its much cheaper use local post pay sims when not at home

it amazes me how someone rising to the ranks of deputy chief - did not have a better understanding over what is right and what is wrong. Clearly the selection process has been corrupted -
loving all of Guy Ritchies stuff at the moment - The Gentleman (series not movie) is excellent on Netflix Youtube turned up a gem :the Gangster ....starring Jason Statham- who is great in the Beekeeper too Ozark was memorable as i get older i have noticed that i pick stuff more based on the pace of the show, the soundtrack , the photography and scenery... i became aware of this after breaking Bad and Better call Saul - Terry Gilliam stuff ,Guy Ritchie and Tarantino ..... almost the modern equivalent of Ennio Morricone spaghetti westerns...
