  1. The late Ayatollah had a sense of humour naming his son after a cocktail.
  2. No sweat. Ed Miilband will switch on all his wind turbines and solar panels and we can go all-electric.🫠

  5. I admire the artwork but detest the government propaganda surrounding the presentation.
  6. The usual police presentation is the suspect or suspects sitting at a table facing the camera with face(s) obscured with a sheet of paper. But, that's the first time I have seen a photograph with the suspect under the table with a hand holding the the paper and fingers giving a V sign.😀
  7. Re paragraph 8 of the article. The foreign investment which Thailand craves and encourages has funded coconut processing factories in Ratchaburi which are indicated as causing oversupply leading to depressed prices affecting indepent growers?
  8. It is now impossible for a news follower to determine who to trust in this overall investigation because the multiple departments involved cannot be trusted to be unbiased. Presumably, the accused who is Deputy Chief of Police continues to be paid his salary, expenses and perks.

  14. I have visited Prea Vihear twice over the past thirty years and each time noted a deal of damage to structures caused during occupation by the Kmer Rouge including graffiti carved into laterite blocks. Unless Cambodia has credible evidence to separate alleged new damage from the old UNESCO will be unconvinced.
  15. Meters installed by a Provincial authority have a Serial Number on the bezel and this appears on the monthly invoice. The employee reading the meter montnly records this and it is transferred to the computer database. A faulty meter needs to be replaced by the owning authority to record the Serial Number change and ensure correct billing to the served property.
  16. From the news today I see the Sir Keith Starmer has gone to China to speak with Xi and solicit a few tips on control.
  17. The Chinese were permitted to buy the land site including the existing building around seven years ago.. The owners would require planning permission to change the function. Despite the entire site being around 22000 square meters I cannot believe it will all be an 'Embassy' with thousands of 'diplomatic' staff.
  18. He will need to find a replacement for his assigned tasks of supervisising a sewer maintenance team and teaching English language to inmates to ensure continuity.
  19. Because the Isaan Bang Fai lauch site has a poor track record.
