  2. That’s the only saving grace, you’re renting and can get away. All the same it’s a pity that you have to.
  3. Shopee has a store selling secondhand CDs of US and UK artists @ 69฿ each and there’s one on Lazada selling similar @ 89฿.

  5. Even more about her: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11780053/Katie-Price-shows-16th-boob-job-skimpy-green-bikini-family-Thailand-trip.html
  6. Added to all this is her numerable relationships, some with real boneheads or primates. She was publicly wicked towards Antipodean ‘singer’ Peter Andre after they married following a whirlwind romance on TV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in the UK. Dreadful woman.
  7. That is completely wrong. Koh Samui until the 1990s was an elite destination, unaffordable for most let alone backpackers. To get from BKK to Sami was a costly and lengthy trek. First there was a flight on a minor airline from Bangkok to Surat Thani, then an almost two-hour MPV ride to the ferry (on which there were bandits in those days) and the boat trip to Koh Samui. There were only 2 high end hotels for visitors on the island which was sparsely populated - a truly a tropical idyll. Totally unlike today. Backpacking started in big numbers in the 1960s with overland trips by microbus from Europe to Asia via Afghanistan (only £35 from the UK as I recall at one time). Plus there were Aussies who came to LoS via Bali. Lorry in his earlier post is correct that Thai tourism commenced in the aftermath of the Vietnam war. Troops came here for R’n’R. In fact the long gone Pennsylvania Hotel in Bangkok was built in 1972 to accommodate the military. They were seduced by the look of Thai girls and were keen to try massage among other activities with them. However, they were less than enthralled when experiencing what a Thai massage was. They were used to oil massage back home so the Thais introduced oil massage as an alternative to offering (what became) Thai traditional massage. Pattaya was a fishing village in 1972 but progressively cottoned on to catering for U.S. navy ships arriving for Rest and Recuperation. Even in the 80s Pattaya was a spartan place outside of the center.
  8. First Sparktrader and now it seems has the OP ☹️
  9. Tops should have them. But if you draw a blank, Cheese 2 Meat You in Udon Thani stock various frozen peas. They ship, frozen, to anywhere in LoS. Might be worth e-mailing them and asking. https://m.facebook.com/Cheese2MeatYouTH/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=0
  10. Despite mixed comments it seems strange if not unusual that a YouTuber with seven figure following should just stop posting and offer no comment in 3 years. To achieve a few hundred or a few thousand is an achievement for many a YT channel, but a million must be beyond the scope or dreams of most. Bizarre ????
  11. It’s a YT thing, advisable to have a second channel, something to do with algorithms (please don’t ask me). Many YouTubers have a second channel but it is not always obvious. The reason I reckoned he had another channel was that it had exactly the same videography, the same text and comments but with different typeface. It certainly didn’t appear to be a pastiche. Also it went cold at the same time as Bangkok 112. It would have been more correct had I said I think he had another channel. Apologies. I did say in my post I’d not bookmarked it.
  12. These property sites were OK back in the day: https://www.kkbkk.com/?do=find&what=rent https://www.hipflat.co.th/en/mass-transit/bts-ratchathewi-pgclnznr
  13. He had another YT channel as well (I looked recently but failed to bookmark it) and that hasn’t been updated since 2020 either.
  14. The yellow pop up is infuriating on an iPad. Also irritating on an iPhone but it can be clicked off fairly instantly. Unlike the iPad where it’s like The Alien: just when you think it’s gone it comes back ???? This thread will probably get closed soon because we’re not meant to criticise the mechanics of this website :(
  15. But for many that is their life here ????
  16. It’s clear the OP is a wind-up merchant. I, thankfully cannot read the clown’s his posts as I have him on ignore. Perhaps others may consider doing so too.
  17. Thanks, will have to give it a try.
  18. Sounds great. Obviously there was the shipping fee on top. And how was duty and VAT dealt with, did you have to pay them direct to Shipito’s delivery agent e.g. DHL or similar?
  19. Thankfully I have GG on my ignore list (in fact the only person) therefore I don’t have to suffer any of this codswallop!
  20. An alternative, which I always use, is a security box at the cashiers. There are large boxes as well as the small ones. They are safe. However, the safety box key is the punter’s responsibility and one has to take care not to lose the key or there’s a fine!
  21. Not that this helps this anyone but an identical Wise issue happened around the same time in February 2022 and in February 2021. Wise could offer no explanation but all was well within in a few days.
  22. The OP’s posts read incredibly like Sparktrader’s ????
