    YouTube’s ‘Native Farang’ is a Thai who has returned from Northern England (he has a Yorkshire accent) to live in his native Thailand. No reason why he and his partner can’t make a go of it. Other non-Thai youngsters can possibly create a life in LoS if they’re enterprising and, or, can get a work permit. Could prove a challenge though. But the OP is correct in that the novelty might wear off.
