  1. I finished the St. Roberts course this year. Still waiting for the follow-up steps though, probably an exam at a yet unknown date and location.
  2. Bareback lover Munin and junta sycophants like Renaissance chased me away from there. AN is not much better though. At least the mods still actively intervene when someone oversteps the line.
  3. In my home province of Narathiwat, in the far south, rainy season never went away in the first place. It's been a rainy year through and through, with hardly a day without rain.
  4. Not a non-immigrant B visa. My colleague was forced to leave the country in March after no Covid extensions were possible. That, apparently, was country-wide.
  5. I don't know about Pattaya, but in my neck of the woods, I was able to just walk in last Friday at the local hospital and get jabbed within 10 minutes. Barely any customers, so it was quick and easy. Most hospitals in Thailand may offer the same quick service, is my guess.
  6. I was always taught English, as well as other subjects, by non-native English speakers and I turned out fine and professionally adequate in English. Thailand needs competent teachers, not necessarily NES.
  7. Covid extensions will be around as long as the emergency decree is still around. MARK MY <deleted> WORDS!
  8. As a teacher in Thailand, I will have to keep wearing masks for an indefinite time while at work. My school director already ordered all teachers to keep wearing them until at least March 2023, the last month of the current academic year. No ditching masks anytime soon.
  9. That's happening already. Many farang teachers have been leaving Thailand for China and Vietnam. Thailand has its eyes squarely on Filipinos.
  10. Thanks, but I already stay away from alcohol. Haven't had a drop in two years, mate.
  11. As a foreigner in Thailand, I can only repeat my mantra: Stay Away From Narcotics. Just do.
  12. Great school. My Thai wife and I sent all our four children there. Good stuff. And, yes, it's expensive, but I got plenty of cash anyway and I wanna give my kids a great education.
  13. As a teacher I still don't know when the Fall holiday starts, or who my M.1 students are, as they keep bringin in new ones during the semester. I'm tellin y'all, teachin in Thailand ain't everything if ya can't handle uncertainties and general chaotic stuff and everything.
  14. I wish I had a 5-year license in the first place. I'm almost on my 4th waiver. Two more years, and it's farewell, Thailand! New teachers just don't get a license anymore. Thailand is tryin to chase all of us away. Chok dii khrap!
  15. I'd rather pay 500 baht for a NP if the Thai pay the same as I, than pay 400 if Thai pay only 40 baht.

    KAAN

By now one would expect them to reopen. Any chance they're done and over?

    KAAN

Does anyone know if KAAN has reopened its door on Thepprasit Road?
  18. @StockyNo matter what the Bangkok government decides, expect to see masks worn by the majority of people for years to come. My school of 4000+ students has already made it clear masks must be worn on school grounds indefinitely. Malaysian and Singaporean tourists don't seem to have a problem with it either, right? So I guess Hat Yai will keep em too.
  19. Most of my students seem not to like the masks. I love the masks though, and always tell my students to wear them if I see their faces without. I will certainly keep wearing face masks in the years to come. I don't care what anyone thinks about it.
  20. I know how crowded it can be. There are even direct international flights from Narathiwat Airport for Hajj. The only time of the year when aircraft fly anywhere else but Bangkok.
