OK..... so let's change the rules a little.
Let's say that Thailand just happens to be at war with your home country.
Would you find it tough to make a decision?
Would you go back to your country and fight against Thailand?
-
Did I miss something?
Since when has fireworks been a problem on the airport rail link?
How often do you take fireworks to and from the airport?
-
Pure Hypothesis.
Let's say that Thailand was dragged into war with a neighboring country and suffered many casualties.
If the Thai government declared that it would be willing to give unconditional citizenship to all farangs who joined the army to fight for Thailand. Would you consider it?
I know a lot will say that they are too old or out of shape, to consider going to war, but let's say you were in your mid 30s and fit and healthy with plenty of life ahead of you.
Let's also say you were married to a Thai and had a family here (as many of us do). So not only would you be fighting to protect the sovereignty of Thailand, but for the protection and liberty of your ow family.
Would you be tempted?

who is going to raise their price by 20 satang????.... this guy is so out of touch with food vendors, they almost always price their portions in 5 baht increments. 20,25,30,35,40 etc.......
If there is an increase it will be 5 baht.

Oh and by the way, Hamas probably slaughter more Palestinians than Israelis do.
Ordinary Palestinians hate Hamas, they are terrified of them and their execution squads.
Just have a big old war, and once Israel wins and controls all of Palestine, then weed out every last member of Hamas and put them out of their misery and truly free the Palestinian people.

Whatever happened to the good old days when two nations just had an all out war and winner takes all?
Job done.

apprehended in Mukdahan's Kham Cha-I district on Tuesday afternoon while allegedly taking the stolen valuables and jewellery to his girlfriend in Kham Cha-I.
Then we get......
adding that police had yet to retrieve the stolen valuables.
First of all he claims that the thief was caught while taking the valuables to his gf, then they say they don't know where they are.
What is the betting that they have already found a new home and the insurance is going to pay. Wonder how many BIB the 9 mil will be split between?

Of course they are coy.... They all know it's a stitch up.
I am hoping this is going to escalate into an almighty political mess for Prayuth and the police chiefs.
I am starting to get a whiff of diplomatic turmoil over this, and all in the most public of situations.
The Guardian already reported that the UK Foreign Office have summoned the Thai consulate in London to convey their suspicions (concerns) that this whole investigation has been fudged to save tourism. They must be speaking from info received from the boys in blue that are over here 'observing' this farce.
I hope thew UK and Myanmar end up breaking all diplomatic ties with Thailand like Saudi did.... Great start to ASEAN AEC....... not.

Is it really necessary to let off multiple shots in a busy place normally teaming with tourists at all hours?

Surat Thani Governor Chatpong Chatraphuti recently ordered authorities to ban public parties at any location except Haad Rin Beach.
What's the odds he has personal stakes in the businesses on that beach.

some people like to hear the sound of their own voices and to show that they also, have some
to say...
And how's that going to be implemented prey tell... assigned a personal guard to every tourist
or lock up all the criminals and would be criminals to avoid crimes for happening?
assigned a personal guard to every tourist
Then we can place bets on how many tourists are robbed, scammed, raped or murdered by their personal guards on the first day.

I have times heard people say,
Thailand will be fine without the tourist dollars and until now the government has not been too bothered with it.
Now it is slipping between their fingers and thai small and large have realized " oh shit we do need those foreigners"
Tourism is the backbone of this country and brings in trillions of baht every year.
I wonder if a fair investigation and arrests from the kt scandal might help to soften the uk travel warning.
The warning is not about military rule, but about unpunished attacks on foreigners. If i read that warning i would not come to Thailand.arresting the 2b does not help.
I always laugh when I read some jerk claiming Thailand can live without tourist revenue without a problem.
Strange coincidence that the annual 2.2 trillion baht in tourist revenue is exactly the same as the 2.2 trillion baht annual government budget.
So with no tourists, Thailand has to find 2.2 trillion baht from somewhere else.
It won't find it.
Thailand WILL go bust.
-
Until the next tourist is horrifically raped, beaten, robbed or mutilated.
Which ought to be any day now.... probably tonight as soon as it gets dark, tourists will be equally at risk here as they have always been.

Personally.
I hope the exact same thing happens to these people.
I hope they have their families removed in equally horrific circumstances.
Then I hope they roast in hell for eternity.

Pheu Thai caretaker spokesman Prompong Nopparit led other legal advisers to ask NLA president Pornpetch Wichitcholchai in writing to postpone the impeachment of Yingluck, claiming that the former PM had not received copies of the NACC's complaint.
Did she/they already forget everything before the coup?
She has already been tried, and found guilty by the Cons Court. She and her lawyers did their level best to delay using the very same BS excuses then and it all failed. She has already had all the literature from the NACC back then, and this is not a different case. It is one and the same case.
There is not a case for her to fight, she just needs to await her impeachment which is in the bag.
Then hopefully the NACC will push for a criminal trial.

So the anti-human trafficking police did the bust, but the regular police obviously let the owners get away.
On the payroll by any chance?..... Places like this never escapes the notice of the regular police and everyone knows it.
The Royal Thai Police are probably responsible for almost every sufferance Thailand is going through.
It is about time there was an almighty clear out.

This deputy chief should be sent to the deep south and busted down to a regular immigration <removed>.
Just about everyone in Thailand knows he is lying.
Why would any tourist coming here deliberately lie about something like this?
As for
'Mr Whoever you are, by paying them the 100Baht, you are an accomplice to corruption as they are.
And by grassing them to the newspaper did nothing to improve your wrongdoings.'
What a load of twoddle.
3 officers waiting at the cash earning counter instead of in the other booths, so basically the problem was deliberately engineered to promote the corruption. You can't blame people for not waiting an hour in a queue when they can pay 100 baht to sail through.... I would have paid, but been pissed off that I was set up for the bribe.
I would have 'grassed them up' too.
But this is Thailand..... corruption is totally legal here when you are ripping off tourists.
Nothing has changed, and nothing will EVER change.
I pray for the day Thailand loses all its tourists. It won't affect me personally and I don't care about the thousands of people who have been scamming tourists for years.

How about Tit for Tat?
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/nov/05/burma-thailand-britons-murder-investigation
So basically the UK foreign Office are saying they don't believe a word of the Thais in this investigation.
That means the UK police here are reporting back that this whole setup is 100% BS.
Things are looking interesting.

At the end of the day, she is as guilty as sin and must be punished. Failure to do so will undermine the 'so called' reforms completely.
Tens of millions want her to face the music, not only for the sake of punishment, but also to send a strong message that times are changing. Politicians will need to pull themselves together or face similar.
No punishment, then there may as well just scrap the reforms, reinstate the old constitution and hold an election immediately and wait for the civil war.

Please take a little time and look at the heading of my avatar. But these diet pills can be real killers.Slightly unsubtle writing Costas.
What does it say?
Greek member.
You try and write something in Greek and I'll tell you if your writing is subtle or unsubtle.
Based on the above, I would say Costas command of the English language is sufficiently effective ;-)
So these diet pills are used for staying awake and studying for long periods?
Yes.
They are loaded with amphetamine sulphate, otherwise known as 'speed'.
They were very popular in 80s UK where they were sold in many night clubs.

He will probably get bail while appealing to the Supreme Court.
I don't think you can get bail on a rape charge..... well not unless you really have the big money.

The devious means were that all those who voted in the senate for the yes camp are all well known as being in the control of Thaksin.... No secrets there.
Secondly., The speakers sent home all the no camp and told them the debate would reopen at 9am in the morning, strange how the entire yes camp stayed and did not go home, and the no camp returned in the morning at 9am only to find that the bill had been unanimously pushed through.
Or did you forget all that?
Why the hell do you think they were dragged up in front of the constitutional court in the first place?
