RIP Phil
I can see there being new rules on bowling bouncers in all first rate cricket.
Everyone knows bouncers are there to do damage to the batsman and make him jump away. It is NOT going for the wicket, it should be banned immediately.... Unfortunately it takes the death of a young man to get this to happen... typical of everything in this world, to many rules born out of frustration and tragedy.

They basically went cap in hand for money.
They went through the initial application procedures.
They were told that it will be considered in a month and that someone will get back to them.
It went well because we were not thrown out on out <deleted> by security.

Who writes this trash? Oh, never mind. Not a lot if brain power behind any if this.
What you really mean is that you are not astute enough to understand it... which is quite basic actually and anything but rubbish.
I will wager the USA no longer has any of that gold, as much as it probably no longer has its own gold, which has long been suspected by the US public and that the Fed Res have been lying for years.
You need to ask why Germany has to wait till 2020..... If they had it, they would give it and Germany has the right to demand it in an instant. I see very uncomfortable times ahead for the US government.
I wonder if all this is in anticipation of China, Russia and the BRICS (and probably OPEC) countries about to dump the USD as the reserve currency as well as oil currency?
Makes sense, because it will destabilize a lot of currencies around the world for a while.
But it will collapse the US economy as well as wall Street and the entire US society overnight.
That is how they will bring an end to the days of US dominance across the globe.... Here today, gone tomorrow.
Many experts are tipping this to go down some time next year.

Crazy idea.
The people will vote for who pays them, or who they think will put more money in their pockets.
I don't think I have met a Thai person in the 5 years I have been here that I can have a political conversation with. They don't know the first thing about politics, they could not even name 3 cabinet members and they certainly won't know what a decent cabinet list would look like.
I'm sorry, but as far as I am concerned... 90% of the electorate are politically ignorant.

Very simplistic bunch of proposals.
To whip this place into shape it is going to need about 500 different articles just to keep a control of politicians, civil servants and public officials.
Oh..... and bespoke new prison (capacity 10,000) to throw them into for ANY breech of the law, funded by the assets of all those who end up there..... Minimum stay.... 5 years without a pardon.

Expect this to be pushed back even further well into 2017 and possibly beyond.
Now with the Junta also blocking Human Rights Watch website to boot. It is becoming more and more obvious that this is not about the Thai people and the country. This is all about the people in charge.
This is a power trip going haywire, and expect reactions from the west very soon.
The Thai people may put up with this behaviour, but the west certainly won't and this Junta will find out eventually that it is going to hurt.

Of course this will be expanded across many jobs, and to be selected to receive this cheap slave labour will go to the fattest envelopes passed under the table.
Got to hand it to the Thais, they are the best in the world at inventing graft and bribery related concepts.

Peaceful Ferguson Protesters Attack White Passerby: “I Just Want To Go Home”
Protesters in Ferguson have continued to gather on a nightly basis in the aftermath of the Michael Brown shooting.
They claim to be assembling peacefully, but as the video below shows, when a white man was passing through town a mob surrounded him and began making threats.
The video shows the man telling his attackers that he just wants to go home.
Another man is then heard saying “I don’t give a <deleted> what you wanna do.” In the background, a third man argues, “we’re standing up for what we believe.”
As the victim tries to get away from the crowd he is immediately accosted by several men who hold him back while another grabs him by the neck. When he finally breaks free and walks away numerous individuals continue to pursue him.
The following video uploaded to social media shows the incident from two different angles:
To any whites our there, in the USA, who are reading this:
Rioters To Target Whites: “You Will Never Be Safe… Not You, Not Your Children”
As Brian Hayes of Top Right News notes, “they are making plans to focus on White areas — and are threatening to target police officers, and even their families.”
In fact, the protesters in Ferguson have as one of their lead organizer a woman by the name of Lisa Fithian, who was partly responsible for organizing the violent protests known as the Battle In Seattle during the 1990′s. In a video recorded several days ago and posted by Progressive Today and The Gateway Pundit Fithian explains to those in the audience that they need to be targeting areas where the residents do not look like them:
“Personally, I think we DONT need to be on West Florissant. I wanna advocate that we go on South Florissant because the people on South Florissant don’t look like me. The people on West Florissant look like me and they’re with it. So… I really don’t have anything to protest on West Florissant. So if I’m in the area I’m going to Ferguson Police Department.”
All this makes me wonder how much is enough!
Simply amazing!
Every incident has been fomented by decades of anti-black racist justice system.
Not to mention the CENTURIES of anti-black racist murders at the hands of racist whites.
So obviously there is going to be a backlash at some point.... But personally, I don't blame the blacks on this one.
They have eventually come to the conclusion that peaceful protests don't work to change anything.... The system has got to CHANGE!
If you disagree, then clearly you are part of the problem and should be the ones to blame.

I think they need to scrutinize the bank accounts of the people involved in the national parks office before they do anything else.
These places are not being opened up without payment to the right people.

Would have been much better off saying nothing at all on this issue and just wait till she asks for permission again in the future, then say NO!
But Prayuth seems to be finding it very difficult lately keeping his cool.
I think the job of running the country is starting to eat into him, and is now losing the plot.
Well Dear Leader sir.... This is not a board game where when things are not to your liking you can simply fold the game. Nor can you walk away and continue it later.... Once you open the box and set up the board, you are in the game to the very end... win, lose or draw.

This is just a BS backtrack.
They certainly messed up with this.
YL will still have a press officer being in the position she is, and probably PR staff, and she certainly would have lawyers who will vet everything before it going out to the public.
The BP will also have lawyers who will look at these sort of things to protect the back of the BP from a defamatory or libellous case.
The fact that these words came through the checks is laughable, and just show it is not only YL who is a blundering fool, but all the people she surrounds herself with.
Nobody uses such metaphors and analogies in casual conversations.....lol
It is like I was given the keys to a car...... blah blah blah. That is 100% interview speak for public release.
But at the end of the day BP would no way issue a report like this unless it had been okay'd by YL's lawyers. But it has come back to bite them in the ass. They obviously misinterpreted how easy it is to ruffle Prayuth's feathers.... Which is actually getting quite difficult to scope these days as he seems to be slipping further and further into what I call 'The Hitler Mode'.... Megalomania and histrionic narcissistic behaviour that starts to creep into certain people who acquire massive power suddenly.
It is a mental disorder and every week seems to show very outward signs of progression in dear leader.
Could end up being an absolute despotic tyrant in the making.

It is not a question about what she said, but the fact that she was brave enough to say it!!
About time political leaders from both sides show a little courage!!
You mean STUPID enough to say it.

When ISIS get here (if not already) they will hit the tourist areas.
Thailand is probably the main place where Islamic terrorists are demanding the same thing as ISIS are.
So it is natural they are going to be drawn here like flies on a turd.
Dark days ahead indeed.

So finally they discovered what was a well known public secret for a few decades already.
Add to that the fact that there is no way Somyot reached his own lofty position without serious money changing hands.
Pot..... meet kettle.

I just hope the Brits will have something to say soon.
What can they say? The Poms have no legal input (leave them out of this) for the Thai case,If the United Nations were involved this maybe would be different.
The UN has less teeth than a jellyfish.
The Brits are yet to release their report which can not be released until the official inquiry scheduled for January where the whole investigation that has been going on from Britain and Thailand will be heard.
Oh trust me..... Once they have the inquiry this will whip up a hell of a storm if my suspicions are correct. There will be NO cover up from the Brit police. To many media waiting to crawl all over any contradictions etc. If the police believe there has been a cover up, they will certainly say so.
Once that happens, then the pressure is piled onto the politicians to do something about it. That is when requests change to demands.

Good to read this.
Without the social media - us - the books would habe been closed long ago. The B2 would have been convicted and we would find just a small article that the case was solved and the culprits got their punishment
For the Thai police it must feel like waking up from a dream and finding themselves in reality
imho social media has accomplish little in this case.
I am hoping that this goes to trial, so we can get some idea of the actual evidence.
sweatalot is 100% correct.
Social media has done a hell of a lot to keep this case in the public domain and given worldwide attention to the absolute calamity that is the Thai justice system.
Without this spotlight that would not go away it has made the usual Thai cover up and scapegoating very difficult.
This visit would never be happeing if it wasn't for the attention gained from places like this very thread. It is very very hard to commit for the likes of the public prosecutor to send this to court when he knows the whole world is watching him. Without that, this would already be in court on the fudged up so called evidence the police put forward.
The prosecutor does not want this pushed on him from the police because he knows it is based on lies and corruption. I know it, they know it, YOU know it, the Brits know it, the Burmese government knows it and the whole world knows it.
As much as you want to live in blissful ignorance in your huge hole you have dug yourself over the months.... There will be NO trial, because the r is NO evidence.
This is looking more like a political storm in the making. I will bet a pound to a penny that Prayuth doesn't fancy a scrap with Myanmar on this. The Myanmar government seem to be putting their foot down on this issue, now watch the Thais capitulate.

Officer Wilson will not be indicted after a careful examination of all the evidence. Justice has been served.
However, what comes next with Al Sharpton and the other racial agitators?
Not everyone will agree justice has been served without viewing the evidence that was used to make that decision. Multiple bullets into an unarmed man needs to be explained.
"Brown, an 18-year-old African American, was shot dead after he was pulled over by the Mr Wilson in August while walking down the middle of the road with a friend, Dorian Johnson.Mr Wilson says Brown leant through his window and attacked him, at which time two shots were fired, once of them hitting Brown's arm. According to Mr Wilson, Brown then ran away, stopped and turned to lunge at him, at which point he shot Brown at least six times.According to evidence presented Brown and his friend had been earlier stolen cigars from a local store, and Mr Wilson considered them suspects for the theft." (From above news post)It was explained thoroughly to the grand jury which saw and heard all of the evidence. There was blood in the officer's car and wounds to his face from Brown leaning into his car and attacking him. The officer then fired twice, hitting Brown in the arm. The officer stated that due to the size of Brown he didn't think he could take a third blow to the face without losing consciousness so he fired.Brown left, the officer followed and Brown turned back to attack the officer. That's when the idiot got himself shot. Brown was way too big for the officer to handle physically, Brown had punched the officer wounding him, and when he turned and came back the officer had NO obligation to accept any more bodily injury from Brown.End of.Not quite the same version of events that numerous witnesses put forward that was completely ignored.
You have clung clearly to the white/police/justice department version of events.
Maybe because you personally prefer the white version.
For whatever that reason may be.
Racism?

PC gone crazy..... We will eventually reach a point in time where we will all have to hide our black people in case someone thinks it is racist to have any living in your country.
I think it is an honour to be Santa's right hand man regardless of colour.

I was convinced Thailand was going to getting their share, seeing as they are the hub of everything fantastic.
Do you think it is starting to sink in yet that Thailand is nothing more than a crazy backpacker drug fuelled beach party destination and sex industry?

There won't be any red shirts in the future because their won't be any Thaksin in politics.
Do you seriously believe that after all this, they are just going to allow it to return straight back to pre-May 22nd days?
The protesters will be straight back out on the streets. they won't wait 2.5 years of destruction to the country this time round.
