400k bahts seasonning : 2 months or 3 months ?
Kenny202 replied to morphem's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I usually do mine 30-45 days before they stay until date. Then under consideration / pick up date usually a month after stay until. I always make sure funds in the bank when I return to pick the visa up but never been asked to show my bank book on pick up in 7 years. I think my missus actually called them this year and they said no longer a requirement. Could only be my office of course. This year they called me 3 weeks before under advisement / pick up date and told me I could pick up whenever I like. I would put it this way. If you have the funds leave them in their until pick up...if not you should be ok. Best call ur IO ask them or let guys here know ur particular office and they may share their experience. I find the longer I have my visa the easier it is and the less they scruitinize me. All formality -
I like to cook and for me its like a wonderland at the markets. All the stuff that is sooooo expensive back home, farm fresh and cheap as chips. All the different mushrooms, herbs....Amazing trying different cabbages, Thai spinach and squashes how good they are and many times turn out even better than what we are used to back home. We eat like kings here!

Might of answered my own question...Found a recipe mostly all spices I have at home less Onion powder which I just ordered. Has 7000 5 star ratings so should be ok. In the process saw someone on Lazada selling Jalepeno seeds so ordered some of them too. Guessing they wouldn't be too hard to grow 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper ½ teaspoon ground paprika ¼ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon onion powder ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes ¼ teaspoon dried oregano

I have added Thai script to Kodi a few years ago, It was a bit of a trial too lol. First time I did it worked after about 2 hours mucking around.....the next time I got a new version I couldn't make it work

I just downloaded Kodi before and reminded myself how complicated and clunky it is to use. I think really by the time I muck around easier to just do a google search on Subtitles.org and play on VLC. I do see some Thai subs come up as little squares. From memory there was something you used to have to do in settings to enable reading Thai script. Does VLC have a sub synch adjustment? From memory many used to be out of synch....sometimes a lot, sometimes a little even when the sub title seemed to match the movie file

Most of them have the little C02 soda bottle cannisters. Mines a but like that. BBs go anywhere but straight. If it is a soda cannister (likely) the handle grip on one side will slide down or pivot off to the side. If its fillable from a gas can should have a valve under the grip stock where the mag goes in or on the mag

I had some Steel BBs I got off Lazada rusted up pretty quickly. I found the best compromise for distance / power were the glass ones.
-
Thanks bro....Sorry for all the questions lol but what brand of BB (Steel / Ceramic / Glass do you buy?

Will an SRT file have a selection of subs or do I need to find a specific sub aka Thai? Thanks all for the replies so far guys And I assume I need a player capable of advanced options with subs re speed synch compensation etc. Does VLC player have this?

Just a couple of questions on the Tokyp Marui.....How many shots do you get out of one gas refill? Do you use the TM ammo and gas or is the generic stuff ok? Re smashing bottles are you using steel, plastic or glass BBs? Not sure if you will know or not but whats the difference between the Glock 17 and 19? Is it barrel length?

Have a whole lot of movies on my hard drive would like to watch with the missus but don't have any subs. I plug a flash drive directly into the TV and view them from there. I remember I have downloaded separate sub files before but ages ago. Is it possible to do this? From memory I used to download the subs and put the sub file in the same directory as the movie. Subs had to match the file size of the movie from memory and often had to synch them with the movie sequence / speed. Can anyone refresh my memory where to download the subfiles and how to do it please?

Funny you say that because I pulled the Insert / grill thing out and appeared to be full of tiny little worms.

Anybody else get these things in the bathroom? only in the bathroom. Like tiny little fly's, look like a fruit fly to me. Only about 2mm (3/16") or so. Our bathroom is spotless by the way. They dont seem to do any harm or seem to be attracted to any one area but its not nice. Often Ill walk in the bathroom take a breath and one goes down your throat. I often get the bum gun and hose em all off the walls and down the drain but always back again en masse next day. Anyway to get rid of them?

Always a bloke with what he thinks is a pithy Thai handle lol. Puchooay hahaha. I spose that's how you think "man" is pronounced in Thai lol? I also guess you are the big bwana...respected by one and all in the village (while secretly they are all laughing behind your back 5555). Poh jai baan comes to you for advice? You have no idea how I approached the situation and are conceited to assume and think you are so much smarter than everyone else. Mr. Thailand...I surrender to you. Your reply speaks volumes of your inability to spell. Why don't you add a witty catch phrase from Wilde or Lawrence? Add to your "cred"

Thats the thing...and I know from experience these things and their drivers are usually a PITA. Pootle along at 20 km an hour with wobbly wheels. Usually never move to the left but travel in the middle of two lanes. I get it....they are great transport for people who can't afford a car bit I would nearly bet London to a brick the old bloke didn't have a licence and the sidecar cant legally be registered. Normally in any civilised country the blame would immediately fall on the person in the unregistered illegal vehicle, possibly being driven by an unlicensed / drunk driver. What annoys me so much about the careless people here on the roads. The people double / triple parking to go and buy food. People driving at night no lights. People cutting corners and entering blind sois on the wrong side of the road. I defend the right of anyone to kill themselves but they put everyone else in harms way and then when things go wrong not only wont take responsibility but want to a -ss rape the innocent and possibly injured / inconvenienced person for money as well. I would have had to go around 2 or three of these sidecars already today because they wont move over to the left. Your only choice is to sit behind them a 20kmh or pass them in the oncoming lane putting yourself at risk of a collision

I went to local Amphur in Chaiyaphum to do a yellow book. Idiot there insisted on bringing 3 witnesses, including a teacher or doctor and the poh yai baan and gunman. Said would be a lengthy process and all would be required for a full day. Stupid tw@t making out like he was granting me permanent residency or something. All in the hope I would go away and leave him alone. They were the worst office I ever dealt with. Walk in and they were all playing with their phones or reading newspapers. Sneer at you like you had dog shet on your shoes...Thai and farang alike. Saw them send an elderly Thai man back home one day after travelling an hour to get there to change his shorts to long pants as he wasnt showing them the proper respect. Disgusting human beings. I didnt bother in the end. Been told over and over only advantage of a yellow book no residency cert needed for DMV

I haven't seen anything official to state that though it does seem to be the way it is. I haven't seen any proper air guns on Lazada. You do see them for sale (Horrible Chinese ones) at some of the provincial fares / festivals.......but usually hidden out of view. Mate of mine has 2 Sig pistols, in his wife's name. Told me if the wife is a business owner very easy for her to go and get a firearm license.
