Durham Inquiry Appears to Wind Down as Grand Jury Expires
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
The wsj is usually rather reliable, but the link is only an "opinion" article. -

Not to mention those pardoned by Trump in a mafia-like way. -
Durham Inquiry Appears to Wind Down as Grand Jury Expires

Why wait? Nothing prevents Durham to further investigate it. -
House January 6 committee votes to subpoena Trump during Thursday’s hearing
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
And the expected reply from Trump ???? "The Unselect Committee knowingly failed to examine the massive voter fraud which took place during the 2020 Presidential Election — The reason for what took place on January 6th," Trump posted on Truth Social. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/justice/jan-6-committee-subpoena-trump-defiance -
Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
candide replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Maybe it will wake the Russians up. They did not really care as long as it was Ukrainians dying, or soldiers from Dagestan. When white Russians start to die in significant numbers that may be another story. -
Mexico sues 5 Arizona gun dealers accused of role in weapons trafficking
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
Maybe the irony can be seen in your post. The DEA has been regularly collaborating in Mexico with the local authorities, and several drug traffickers and money launderers have been extradited to the U.S. to be sentenced and jailed. It doesn't look like Mexico is just blaming the American demand for drug. -
“The President was fired up about the Supreme Court decision,” Hutchinson said. “The President said … something to the effect of, ‘I don’t want people to know we lost, Mark. This is embarrassing. Figure it out. We need to figure it out. I don’t want people to know that we lost.’” https://edition.cnn.com/politics/live-news/jan-6-hearing-livestream-10-13-2022/index.html

Apparently, another guy (It's not clear, maybe the same guy as in the OP), Walt Nauta, was also caught on camera. A Trump aide was caught on security camera moving boxes from a Mar-a-Lago storage room before and after the DOJ subpoenaed Trump for top-secret documents: NYT https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-aide-caught-camera-moving-boxes-mar-a-lago-storage-2022-10?r=US&IR=T The FBI also interviewed Nauta several times before it raided Mar-a-Lago on August 8, according to one of The Times' sources.

New York City declares state of emergency over migrant 'crisis situation'
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
And how could they not feel at home e in places with names such as Los Angeles, Tampa, Orlando, San Antonio, etc...? -
Again, you have nothing. What has Joe Biden done apart from shaking hands. There is no matter related to these partners which Biden could have influenced. They have not got a procurement from the government, they have not got a special authorisation from the government. All their business activities were related to private firms, not related to government.
-
What truth? What has Joe Biden done that deserves an investigation? What is hidden? His tax information has been published for 22 years and everyone can check it (unlike another politician I will not cite).

This gun case is actually interesting and paradoxal. Hunter may be accused of lying to the government because he declared he was not using drugs when he bought the gun. However, he may also avoid being convicted because he was using drugs.

New York City declares state of emergency over migrant 'crisis situation'
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
As concerns drugs, which was the topic discussed, the most efficient way to reduce the amount of drug smuggled would be to better control the main flow of drugs: the one hiding drugs in shipments which are apparently legitimate: trucks and train carrying commercial and industrial shipments. Any suggestion? -
Why this obsession with public viewing? Hunter is currently being investigated by a Republican prosecutor in relation with the IRS. Why should a private citizen who is neither a politician nor employed by the government be investigated by a House committee? And on matters which are not public matters?

New York City declares state of emergency over migrant 'crisis situation'
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
I understand, but there's no "justification" in his post. Just expressing ( maybe not formulated in a precise enough way), that illegal goods are usually hidden inside shipments of goods which are not illegal. -

candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
How can you understand this as a justification for something illegal? Quote from Placeholder's post "drugs are mostly brought over via shipments of perfectly legitimate shipments of manufactured goods from Mexico." -

You are being dishonest. He never claimed it was legal to ship drug. He claimed drug was hidden into shipments of legal goods. You should read posts before replying. -
Obviously, who would trust anything brought up by Giuliani on face value?
