Actually, it seems the main problem is that there very few nurseries so that women need to stop working when they have young kids. Anyway, on short term, they have no other choice than immigration.

You conveniently omitted a part of the quote in order to support your prejudiced view. The exact quote is:
"Others in that category interviewed by Reuters here cited the perception that asylum seekers were getting more financial support than pensioners."
Others...perception...
More generally, Germany's problem is the decrease of population so that there are not enough young people to pay for old people's pensions. Immigration is the only way for Germany to finance pensions and to maintain growth.

Yes, people want a show. It’s a good bet a large percentage of people that want witnesses want Schiff and Pelosi called...A large number of people have seen or heard that the Republicans are quite openly reluctant about new witnesses, while the Democrats openly request them. There is no such ambiguity.

This poll is a survey of less then 2,000 registered voters. That is a pretty small pool. Would anyone out there agree with me on that fact alone?
1,995 respondents, lol. The margin of error is indicated on the figure: +/- 2%. Actually the sample size is bigger than most other polls which sample is usually in the 1000/1500 range.
Additionally, it is not a situation such as 52% for and 48% against. 57% are for witnesses and 24% against. It is beyond any possible margin of error or bias. The same survey has been made in December and the current results are quite coherent with the previous results.

Nothing to fear.
They don't have to have any... However, it would not be supported by public opinion. It's a tragic choice for them. On the one hand, If they don't accept new witnesses and evidence, they will be seen as covering up Trump. On the other hand, If they accept new witnesses, they will make it worse for Trump.

“OMB’s assertions have no basis in law,” the GAO argues, referring to the White House Office of Management and Budget.
OMB spokeswoman Rachel Semmel pushed back on GAO’s conclusions.
“We disagree with GAO’s opinion,” Semmel said. “OMB uses its apportionment authority to ensure taxpayer dollars are properly spent consistent with the president’s priorities and with the law.”
According to the OMB,It's a opinion, which is a nothing burger! The trial will conclude the impeachment process ,the result, the President stays despite the partisan radical dems objections!
A few useful information on the GAO:
"The GAO is headed by the Comptroller General of the U.S., a professional and non-partisan position in the U.S. government. The comptroller general is appointed by the president, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, for a 15-year, non-renewable term. The president selects a nominee from a list of at least three individuals recommended by an eight-member bipartisan, bicameral commission of congressional leaders. During such term, the comptroller general has standing to pursue litigation to compel access to federal agency information."

By the way, when you quote (i.e Semmel), please make sure the linked source includes the quote (which is not the case in your post)

The White House budget office violated federal law when it withheld funds that Congress had appropriated to provide security assistance for Ukraine, a nonpartisan government watchdog has concluded.
The Government Accountability Office said in a report released Thursday that the White House Office of Management and Budget did not have the authority to withhold the money under the federal Impoundment Control Act, which governs Congress' role in the budget process.
"Faithful execution of the law does not permit the president to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law," the report concluded. "
After revelations by Parnas, the GAO statement and soon the documents to be release by the Energy Department, there are no good tactical options any more for the Republicans as to how to conduct the trial.

He’s named the individuals involved in this crime and he has provided documentary evidence to back his statements.
Pompeo has now to explain why when made aware of the threats to Yovanovitch he chose not to inform the CIA or the FBI.
John Bolton has been named as a material witness to these criminal acts, and again Parnas backs his statements with documents.
These documents are now in the hands of Congress and there is nothing Trump or McConnell can do to prevent the Trial managers appointed by Congress from entering these documents as evidence at Trump’s Impeachment Trial.
It's been worth waiting before sending impeachment charges.

Apparently, there is more to come at the time of the trial. Could it be that Pelosi was waiting for these additional releases of documents.... ????

They must be thrilled that the Iraqi government now wants the US out of Iraq. They must be thrilled that US troops in Iraq will now have to contend with the open enmity of Iraqi militias bent on revenge. But it gets even better than that for them.. The US is now threatening to withhold Iraqi money if Iraq goes ahead and does officially ask them to leave. This is going to rile up the Iraqis even more. (This on top of Trump's repeated moronic statement that the US should keep the oil wells in Syria. He even suggested that they be given to Exxon.)
In death, Soleimani is an even more formidable foe than when he was alive.
Add to it that, after having been $€*^÷% by Trump, the Kurds may well look the other way next time they encounter ISIS commandos.

The deal also has weak points around inspections, and it's highly likely they are continuing the nuclear program covertly.
That bunch of film and TV stars are indirectly supporting the Iranian regime. It's just embarrassing.
The post I replied to was claiming that the American left was "cheering" the Iranian regime. No evidence has been provided, as expected.
About the deal itself, only Trump claims they were continuing the nuclear program and he has zero credibility.

This is not an election forecast, it's the current state of public opinion. What they show is quite interesting:
- support for removing Trump and support for additional witnesses in Senate trial have increased. It suggests that Pelosi was right to wait.
- the Republican propaganda has been a complete failure: only 24% of respondents think there should not be additional witnesses. Even worse, only 39% of Republican voters think so.

Smart tactics by Pelosi. She has left enough time to expose the hypocrisy of Republicans. As a result, support for removing Trump has increased again in polls and there is twice as much respondents who think there should be new witnesses during the trial than respondents who don't.
