As I mentioned in my post, this is not coherent with what the other guy wrote. -

You are grasping at straws. It did not propose a 40% rise. That was unequivocal. Either Musk did not even check the bill before torpedoing it, or he knowingly mentioned a 40% rise in order to fool the gullible. -

Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency
candide replied to simple1's topic in Political Soapbox
Here's what happens.... "The spending agreement released Tuesday included a bipartisan provision to limit and screen U.S. investments in China, among dozens of other proposals attached to the 1,500-page bill. As the CEO and largest stockholder in Tesla, Musk has extensive business connections to China. The company operates a major manufacturing plant in Shanghai and has sought to build deeper connections with Chinese companies. DeLauro cited Tesla’s operations in China as a reason for Musk to derail a bill containing limits on investments in the country, and she cited potential issues with technologies such as self-driving cars and long-lasting batteries being made in China." https://thehill.com/business/5051709-musk-delauro-spending-bill-china/ -

Hmmm.... - Why did he mention the 40%? There are two options (1) the usual MAGA trick to push lies to the gullible while covering their ass (similar to "I've been told" or "people say") or (2) he didn't know what he was talking about, which is a problem for a major policy adviser. - the bill clearly didn't propose 40%. Only a moron or ill-intentioned person would have jumped on it. -

The ECHR is not an EU institution. It's an institution of the 'old' Council of Europe. If I remember well, its creation has been trigged by Churchill. -

He was lucky he had the CPC as loyal customer! Joke apart, the value of real estate significantly decreased during the pandemic, so it's not surprising that his net worth decreased.

Suture! Trump has everything under control! 🤣 Government shutdown is averted just after deadline as Congress rejects Trump’s debt limit demands "Facing a government shutdown deadline, the Senate rushed through final passage early Saturday of a bipartisan plan that would temporarily fund federal operations and disaster aid, dropping President-elect Donald Trump’s demands for a debt limit increase into the new year." "So is this a Republican bill or a Democrat bill?” scoffed Musk on social media ahead of the vote." 😆 https://apnews.com/article/trump-government -

You have forgotten to include the main beneficiary of users leaving X, which is Meta's Threads. With already 300 million monthly users, Threads is the main challenger and may become the market leader next year. https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/threads-twitter-clone-reaches-300-million-users/735724/

A lame attempt at hiding the fact that the house rejected Trump-'s demand to lift the debt ceiling 🤣 Government shutdown is averted just after deadline as Congress rejects Trump’s debt limit demands "Facing a government shutdown deadline, the Senate rushed through final passage early Saturday of a bipartisan plan that would temporarily fund federal operations and disaster aid, dropping President-elect Donald Trump’s demands for a debt limit increase into the new year."
