Which banks offer joint bank accounts where both parties can have access to an app with QR code payments and everything else that comes with online banking? We have a joint account with K bank but they only allow 1 person to have an app, pay from the app and to control the account from it. All we really have jointly is 2 ATM cards. Kind of defeats the objective, especially in this era of a cashless society. Anyone have any joy in setting this up? My SCB and the wife's have also said they can't do that. Seems weird, I can't believe couples have to have separate banking lives here.

Haul them back to Thailand and throw them in the Hilton. Phuket has become the Costa del and those in charge need to get a grip of the situation. What is it with all these Alpha males wannabees. Cops are too lenient, lawless playground to some. -

You keep calling them out. Amazing how many outright xenophobic nationalists there are are on here whilst sat there as a migrant in Thailand. Irony indeed. I hear Smith is now the the most common name in Pattaya now! -

Huge difference with Bull In China shop implementation and targeted tariffs. I really want to see how Trump got that 72% import tax figure from. -

300%? I think its 0% from China (FTA) and 60% from USA. I suspect most come from China. This is why they are similar prices to the USA. -

Not many MAGA faithfulls have the nerve to comment here on this one. It's indefensible. Another brain dead policy of the megalomaniac to rile up the whole world, systematically destroying any relationship USA has with other countries. JD is such a lapdog (despite being another one that actually hated Trump back in 2016) and is excruciatingly hard to listen too with his over inflated opinion of himself and seemingly not knowing basic facts of history. Embarrassing stuff.

Future Uncertain for Retiree Bank Accounts in Thailand
gravity101 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Any transaction that goes through the Visa or Mastercard system incurs a fee, regardless if its a debit or credit card. The fee depends on the arrangement with with merchant. Typically about 1.5% to 2%. When a vendor tries to tag on 3%, they are breaking the terms of service for accepting card payments, and in theory will lose the gateway. But they don't care. -

Not sure thats true. Sending and receiving are different things. Sending money, ie scanning a QR code requires no registration, receiving requires setup as you describe with a phone number etc. -
