  1. I question their ability to develop such an app within the given time frame and to make it accessible to all travelers regardless of country of origin, type of device, etc. These quarter-wits don't even know how to build a 90-day reporting site that works.
  2. My flight departs November 11, and I’m still waiting for approval on my COE. I can’t change my flight date for a number of reasons, the least of which isn’t that I’ve already purchased the mandatory covid insurance (which becomes active on my predetermined arrival date) I really feel for those people whose flights arrive the first week of November and who have been left standing with their dicks in their hands. Anxious times.
  3. I would think this would depend on who’s developing the website. Let’s all hope it’s not the same geniuses who are responsible for the 90-day reporting site. ????????
  4. Used Dr. Donna for RT-PCR test (same day results) and FTF certificate before departing Thailand - but can she issue FTF certificates for inbound travelers to Thailand?
  5. Man, I hope you're right - if I have to do any more tap dancing, I'm gonna make Fred Astaire look like a wallflower. ????
  6. That’s the thing: Anutin is talking about reinstating Fit to Fly Certificates as an entry requirement (see OP.)
  7. Well, I found this: https://quick.md/fit-to-fly-certificate/ 75 bucks a whack for those in the U.S.
  8. I thought they did away with this requirement? Why are they bringing it back now, and where the hell am I supposed to get one?
  9. Too late - I already booked my flight for November 12 and applied for a COE (waiting for final approval at present.) The million dollar question no one seems to be able to answer is “will I be able to use my COE (issued in October) to enter in November?”
  10. Just spoke with someone at the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C. She couldn't answer this question either. Nothing like being left in limbo.
  11. That's what I'm afraid of. I will have to trust that the new website is actually functional and that my application can be approved prior to my departure date. No way to predict when the site will be up and running and how long the approval process will take. Hopefully, the new website isn't going to be developed by the same geniuses who created the 90 Day Reporting site.
  12. Thanks, but this doesn't really address my question. If my arrival date is 12 November, and if I have already been issued a COE, then can I still use that COE to enter, or do I still need to apply for Thailand Pass?
  13. What about those of us who have already applied for and/or received COEs and whose flights arrive after November 1st? Will we be able to use the already-issued CEO for entry, or will we have to start over from scratch and apply for a "Thailand Pass?"
  14. Both Walgreens and CVS require either a drivers license or a Social Security number for uninsured people in order to bill the state.
  15. My wife, who is currently in the U.S., needs a PCR test in order to travel back to Thailand. Based on the searches I've done so far, it sounds like most test locations require some form of U.S. citizen ID, e.g., SSAN or drivers license, for uninsured people. The only ID my wife has is her Thai passport. Has anyone here been successful getting a PCR test in the U.S. for your Thai wife? If so, then where did you get the test? Thanks for any info.
  16. If I understand the latest press release correctly, then applications for the “Thailand Pass” will be done via a “web-based system” (as opposed to a mobile app.) Let’s hope this is the case as I can’t imagine how the Thai IT geniuses could develop an app that would be accessible by people from ~30 different countries.
  17. If your country isn’t on the low-risk list, and if there’s no indication that it will make the list in the foreseeable future, then I would think you’d have nothing to lose by applying for COE now as all the requirements for insurance and ASQ hotel booking will remain the same either way. As for me, I’m currently in limbo as my COE application was pre-approved last week and I’m now waiting for final approval after submitting my flight details and hotel booking receipt.
  18. Right. What I’m wondering is whether my COE (issued in October) will still be accepted when I arrive at BKK on 12 November, or whether I will be expected, sometime between now and then, to start over from scratch and apply for the “Thailand Pass?”
  19. That’s my question too. I’ve already applied for COE and I’m awaiting approval. My flight arrives at BKK on November 12.
  20. World-class service. Will never go anywhere else… Dental Hospital 7 Soi On Nut 1/1, Sukhumvit 77 Sukhumvit Road, Phra Khanong Nuea Watthana, Bangkok 10110 Tel. 02 092 2000 Fax. 02 092 2098 E-mail: [email protected] www.dentalhospitalbangkok.com
  21. Depends on who you ask. The Dalai Lama has said that if science proves any of the suppositions of Buddhism incorrect, then Buddhism needs to change accordingly.
  22. Good on them. ???????? BTW, “Sanskrit chanting?” Wouldn’t that be Pali chanting since Thailand is a Theravada Buddhist country?
  23. So, if you're one of those lucky souls who received a COE this month and who plans to enter Thailand after 11/1, will your COE still be honored, or will you be expected to jump through yet another hoop, i.e., obtain a "Thailand Pass" prior to entry?
  24. I applied for COE before the "big announcement" re: Nov 1st. Plus, the wife's permission to stay in the U.S. is close to expiring, so not much choice there...
