Not my cup of tea. cramped conditions on the A320, unreliable departure times . I went to MNL last weekend for 11k with PAL, much better timings, they used the A330 and the 747

One down, three hundred thousand plus to go. This is trivial and not really in my opinion considered newsworthy

Was the same for the last two Olympics also, and yes you can and probably will get snippets on the local channels but in the past they have only shown clips where Thai athletes are involved

Totally agree with you jayjayjayjay the junior members have no idea who the OP is. Keep your head up BambinA and good luck with your studies. Dont worry about this end, I am looking after Chaeng Wattana for you in your absence

i think the name lazyfarang is quite apt, OP. there are loads of things you can do to make cash in LOS. go be an extra for film and television for about 1500 baht per day. do some english teaching. make a blog and do affiliate marketing. be creative and you'll think of something.
You seem in your haste to have forgotten the magic words Work Permit.

Anyone ever tried the Kalamansi from the Philippines, much more adaptable than the Manao

Complaints from who?
Why not start a topic called "VOICE YOUR TV COMPLAINTS HERE". If you still get complaints about forum topics, I suggest you just consider the source.
Complaints from high intelligent members who have nothing better to do with there day but sit on there computers and search for moronic topics.
Why is thaivisa getting so serious? Its like being back at school sometimes.
Please sir. Can i finish this post now i want to go pee pee..
tut tut put your hand down and proceed to the toilets, however on your return (after washing your hands) I want you to write out 200 times the word THEIR. In fact make that 400 times as you made the same spelling error twice !! As you are from the Uk you should be ashamed!!

Getting no assistance at all is a serious problem with Fire services in this area. Car Fires radiate huge amounts of heat which causes windsvhields and windows to explode, and I must say I am surprised that no house damage was evident if the car was parked in a car porch.
If it is any consolation to the owner, a garden hose pipe would have no effect at all in a fully blown car fire, however the notion that fuel tanks explode is very unusual and more suited to a Hollywood movie script.
If the huge amounts of heat causes windshields and windows to explode as was the case here, why would the volitile fuel in the tank also not explode at some point, professor?
Seems amazing that the incident generated no interest in the press as the pictures are quite graphic.
The Professor responds,
Mainly two reasons, one being that its the fuel vapour in Gasoline that is the danger and as you will know, the fuel tank is usually sealed and airtight and the fuel lines from tank to engine are of metal material not a porous rubber. I have actually seen it done at a Fire training School where an instructor has lit a match and extinguished it by placing it into the fuel ( Dont try this at home). Secondly, most people realise that hot air rises and apart from the floor matting and carpets there is not much to burn, so majority of the "fuel" for the fire comes from the seats and the plastic dash boards etc. The fuel tank is low down under the vehicle and as such quite well protected

... or to hide the taste of meat that has already started to rot ...
You silly racist.
a challenge Sir ! I believe the British Army were involved with curries in india during their early days there, specifically as the curry ingredients did actually stop bad meat from getting worse and it remained edible.
Of course if they had refs in those days things may have been different

Sure, but difficult to make calls from a computer when on the road for example. and for the record my 84 year old mother in the Uk does not have a computer

Didnt One-Two-Go announce that due to fuel costs they would suspend service for 2 months starting from July 21st - what a coincidence

For years I have been making ToT happy by using their 007 or 008 numbers on international Dialling, until now that is. I have been introduced to a calling card named Dee where a call to the Uk is 2.1 Baht per minute. Hard to better that

And there I was thinking I was going to read an article on a hundred or so soldiers from the PLA on a quiet night out

Sorry bendix, but this was confirmed prior to my last two visits and had no problems

If you renew your Passport yourself and turn up in person, there is no need to be vouched for !

Slightly off topic, but maybe its not. I have seen on two occasions a cyclist (pedal power), both foreigners and both female cycling north bound on the Chonburi motorway. Just could not believe it.

Reminds me a little of my military days. Went to the Dr and told him I had the Flu ! Ok he said, off you go then. Sorry Sir said I and he replied you diagnosed it now you go and fix it now GET OUT

Surely the no liquids ruling is for hand carry only. I found that CLK has a much better and broader selection of goods and are cheaper. Dont forget in BKK King Power have the monopoly.,

Difficult problem and I can understand your feelings, however this is a little bit like moving near the airport and complaining of aircraft noise. from your post I would assume that the dogs were there when you moved in. It may also be the reason why such a "wonderful" house was on the market
The number of dogs seems to increase weekly and weren't barking when I inspected the property.I do understand about airports, but don't think that line of thinking is relevant or rational in this case.Believe it or not, dogs can be trained to bark ONLY when there is a good reason. Some dogs, usually larger dogs seem to have the intelligence built right in. Also helps for the owner to have more intelligence than the dog. Not always possible
I understand where you are coming from, but in my experience larger dogs are a much better option than toy dogs, who in your case seem to have adopted the pack mentality. I also realise the "difficulties" you could encounter by trying to ask the Wolman to try to assist.
Perhaps you should have a couple of really loud hi fi sessions and if she should complain, as she likely would, you could explain the volume was such as you cannot hear ordinary volumes due to her dogs racket.
Just another thoiught, do you have a dog of your own ? if so is it possible the 14 next door are trying to establish territorial rights !

For the seven years I have been working here (for the same Thai Company) on renewing Visa and WP, there has usually been issued a 1 month Visa whilst the application is under consideration.
In the past that has not been a problem, but this time I will have to do an overseas business trip whilst 'under consideration". In the past I have always gone for a multiple re Entry but in this case would it be prudent just to apply fo the single entry OR will a multiple be carried foreard onto my new Visa if approved ?

I have been around these neck of the woods for more than enough time to smell a rat and to know that there is no such thing as a "guaranteed" solution to most things
