The obvious first check is to note whether the red charging light stays on with the engine running. If it does then you have a charging problem, but not necessarily the alternator

I would assume so yes

Night club fires are a world wide curse and sad to say the customer i.e you must be aware of the surroundings and make your own decision whether to enter or not. As the OP found on his "rounds" its not difficult to find the reasons to move on.
I am in the fire industry and it amazes me when owners of potential death traps are asked why they dont have useful fire fighting equipment on their premises the answer is always "why ? i am insured".And this seems to be the Asian concept.
In my many years of extensive business travel, I have actually been involved with five hotel fires in which i was staying, two in Taiwan, One in cairo, one in Sao Poulo and the other in China. And these were not back packers hotels I assure you.
These days, when staying at a hotel I refuse to live above the second floor and I insist that my room is as close as possible to the fire exits. When i get to my room i religously check the fire exits to ensure doors are not locked and the exits are nor blocked by garbage etc.
Am I paranoid, maybe but I am still alive and breathing, unlike 60 odd souls who were in the NYE fire.

I travel in and out of Thailand quite regularly and have noticed this past six months that the Customs at the airport have tighened up their procedures with most if not all suitcases being put through the X Ray machines on arrival.
Now I asm returning to BKK tomorrow and want to carry three bottles of expensive wine, but I am, only staying one night before flying onto China where the wine will be given as New Year presents.
I dont want to risk the bottles being confiscated at Swampypoon so is it best to declare them on arrival explaining the situation ?

Hmmmm Sherlock is on this case and I see a number of burning issues, (1) Taiwanese enployess dont speak English or Thai) (2) Maid suspected by OP as an illegal immigrant, which if so couild mean she doesnt speak Chinese, Thai or English. (3) the said chained dog is totally out of the communication chain and no one has ever told it in a language it can understand that shiiting in the road is a no no
Yup without doubt a major communication breakdown here.
Conclusion. The OP should spend more time learning to communicate in a language that all can understand and spend less time on stupid postings. Case solved

And whilst we are on the subject, can someone explain to P J Roberts that there are more words in the English language than "Certainly Is"

Never been in this awful situation, but have always realised honesty is the best policy. Even Government officers I would hope to have some compassion.

I have learnt over the many years never to discuss Politics and Religion with anyone especially if alcohol is involved

slightly off topic, but i have just returned from swampypoon after dropping a friend off at the departure gates. it was VERY quiet, very little traffic. Rather nice actually ! my friend called to say zero queues at immigration and she also suggested duty free prices appeared to be lower

You saying that its over 50 years old ??? cannot be, too modern surely

They usually sit in the front of the aircraft, that's why I always take a seat in the back, a bit more quiet...
No they dont, they usually sit next to me whilst the parents are rows away. Blolody frustrating i can assure you

there is a huge domed metal/glass building situated North East of Mong Thong Thani that I first noticed from an aircraft about two years ago. Yesterday I was driving in the area and just happened to come upon it by chance.
It seems to be a round structure with a domed roof, sitting in huge grounds. Any one have any ideas ?

(1) your assumption is correct (2) the TM 8 form I download is acceptable at the airport immigration re-entry office, however you must check in first and produce a boarding card

This topic comes up every year at about this time, and proves the tick problems are seasonal. The best prevention method without doubt is an injection

Thats a question I had thought of also

I just found this forum and I really hope someone has some helpful information. I work in the U.S. for a manufacturing company and we have contracted a British citizen who lives in Thailand with his Thai wife (maybe girlfriend) to work as a service man. As a part of his job, he must travel within Thailand and outside of Thailand to customer's plants as needed. Right now that is very difficult. I am not sure of the exact time frames and such, but he can only stay in Thailand for a certain amount of time and then must leave and then re-enter. Maybe someone can explain that to me too
For him to become a Thai citizen, what is involved? What is the cost of completing a citizenship? Any other tips or information that can make his travel for work easier. In case someone is wondering, our company does not have an office in Thailand. We have a single office in the US. He is a contract worker and is not on our payroll.
Thank you,
Melissa
A little difficult to answer with what you have provided. however you yourself appear to be very unsure about this guy you are not sure if he is married or not, which could have a bearing on what Visa he holds.
As mentioned by others, to work here without a Work permit is not a good idea. You also stated that he is not on your payroll ! If thats the case how does he get paid for his efforts ?
If he is paid locally then it could be even more dangerous as the tax man will need to know.
May I ask what line of business you are involved with
Re Entry Permit
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
