  1. I purchased a Compaq C700 in Panthip on Monday. Monday night I downloaded Avast and my Printer Driver. Yesterday the computer would not boot up so I called HP Service Center and they told me to take it to Zeer IT Centre which was the nearest to me. Unfortunately things were going on in Chaeng Wattana and I couldnt get out. Today went to the Service Center to be told that my brand new never used computer had a hard ware problem.

Was advised to take it back to Panthip and they are obliged to change it if its reported within 7 days.

Can anyone confirm this ruling please !!!

  2. Let's all hope that whoever is in charge of Thailand now arranges immediately some sort of security measures to prevent the PAD or any other mob from entering the airports. Immediately, I mean 10.01am !!

My thoughts entirely !!!! Would like to see a large number of troops at the airport immediately with all approach roads sealed off and real security enforced.

I accept that troops at such places dont look good to the average Joe, but in these times a necessity I fear

  3. Totally stung by these know all newbie posters I have taken the time to clean my Bi-focals and retune my hearing aid and Broody Nora it worked Mr Summerville has reported it again, albiet a repeat of his previous piece.

So glad to say, contrary to what others may think, I am not going senile !!!

NOW back to my original post, if this is true how would that affect the current situation AND anyone know where Toxin is at this moment

  4. The BBC are reporting that local TV stations have suggested that Somchai has left Thailand for "personal" reasons.

Personal = Thaksin ??? if true very interesting but what implications could this have on the current situation

he was in maerim half an hour ago. i live within walking distance

    what is your source

can't moderators stop these constant rumours or block the posters

Can you read, did you see the three letters BBC, thats the source and was reported 15 minute ago :o

  5. I think the major problem is that it is hard to find flight details and seat availability. Its a long drive for a family with young children only to find that there are no flights available.

I do agree that people could make the efforts if so need be as my friend did yesterday, hired a car to Hat Yai and has a ticket for the noon bus to KL. He however is the MD of one of UK's major fire truck manufacturers so cash is not an issue and he is not laden down with a wife and ankle biters

  6. Generally I have had no problems, but there is one UK number that I get told "this number is unavailable", but when dialling direct with CAT the number rings - have never been able to work that one out

  7. "when will the airport open" very good question, but its not just a case of when the PAD allows it to be. According to reports, there is over 50m Bahts worth of damage inflicted on the terminal building. I would imagine that for the airline caterers they will have had a lot of spoilt food that will have to be replaced. All of this will probably take more than a few days to sort out, and as someone else has pointed out, it will take the airlines days to get back on schedule.

    A right mess for sure

  8. I agree that the military are being very clever here BUT what concerns me is that if the PAD are not broken now then who ever gets elected in the future can bring these fanatics back out onto the streets and back to square one. Its a never ending scenario

And lets not lose the point that PAD actions have nothing to do with democracy its for personal self interest by their leaders and thats it.
