  1. Read the story... The others are from domestic flights...
  2. And the risk that insurance Co. Actually pay out for any claims, are very high..
  3. I swam at Pattaya beach on Sunday, down by holiday inn. The water was very nice and clear. I've swam there in the past and never got sick, but I do agree.. There are nicer places. I usually swim daily at Dongtan beach.. By the water park. It's very nice there..
  4. I mostly shop at Big C in Pattaya. I have noticed regular increases in many products. But the eggs fluctuate a lot.. 85- 105 baht per tray of 30 .yesterday, I paid 87 baht.. Lots of bakery products get regular increases.. I don't ever buy meat or chicken. Some of the fruit is expensive..
  5. My BKK bank sends SMS For all deposits and withdrawals.. Very reliable..
  6. I got those same two vaccines in Thailand.. I'm not interested in going to the UK, but australia ,NZ and other Asian countries, over the next few years.
  7. Very sound advise. I think it goes for many other countries.. Holding property there is far far better than selling everything.. Cap gains in Thailand are very rare.. I still have properties in Auckland, get my full pension transferred to Thailand... Plus I have other passive income, if I need it... I have nice condo in Pattaya, but the money spent on that, is peanuts compared to what it costs to buy home in Australia or Nz... I can return to Nz at anytime..
  8. Some gutless sickos out there mate.. Best to ignore, as you did..
  9. Auckland city is more dangerous in the daytime, than walking St is at 3am. Pre Covid...the worst situation is with drunk Arabs and Russians in walking St..
  10. I transfer regularly from my NZ bank accounts, to my Thai bank accounts, never any problem. I will try with my NZ visa card shortly..
  11. Reasonable advise.. But I'm still very happy with my condo, after 5 yrs.. It has prime view etc. Will hold it's value... It's still only a fraction of what I would pay for a house in NZ and Australia.. I still have property in both those countries... Use them for cap gains.
  12. Pratumnak, starship etc etc.. But that sort of requirements, will be expensive... What is wrong with a condo.. Much better security, with amazing views.. Good breezes higher up, makes cooler and almost insect free..
  13. If anybody told me to take a shower before using pool at my condo.. I would tell him to F off.. I'm not dirty... What a bloody cheek
  14. Well said.. That is exactly what he needs to do..
  15. Sort out the management.. You can expect to have the pool open.
  16. Condo pools opened on first September. You need to sort out your condo management, if they not opened the pool.
  17. I get an Nz pension, which is a bit less than 50,000baht month. I own my own condo and car(no HP etc). No insurance.. I have extra cash in bank to cover me.. I can live very well, in Pattaya, on this money... But..... I don't advise anybody moving to Thailand, unless you have very ample savings or income.. I have property in Australia and NZ, plus substantial passage income.. I can leave Thailand anytime, if I get sick or whatever...
  18. Sorry, I miss read... Yes keyboards can be bought complete or just buy keyboard replacement for laptop.
  19. Correct... I have done this 3 times, in Pattaya.. Approx 1,500-1,700 fitted.
  20. It never ceases to amaze me how so many "mature" ?? Guys, come to Thailand, then are soo desperate to get remarried after previous failures.. Why get get married?? It only creates future problems.. There are plenty of nice Thai ladies available.. No need to be desperate...
  21. I know several who have recently vaccinated.. I even drove one to Bang Saen yesterday, for her 2nd Pfizer.
  22. No expat should live in Thailand, if they don't have ample funds to pay hospital fees... You don't deserve any sympathy. Why should they change the rules to suit expats..
  23. I can relate extra well with your post.. I'm from Auckland, have my own condo in Pattaya, last 5 years. I'm a very healthy 70yrs old.. I get my full Nz pension sent to my Thai bank.. Needed to read in NZ 45 yrs to be eligible. I still own several houses in NZ. And have very substantial passive income from other investments. Including commercial property in Adelaide.. The houses give minimal income, but good cap gains, which keeps me ahead of inflation. The main point here is... Create long term passive income.. Keep some good property to reap cap gains.. If I wish to return to Nz.. I don't have to sell my condo.. It's only pocket money.. Don't burn bridges with home country. Make sure you maximise your pension claim.. Keep healthy... Don't loose your brains over Thai women or booze.. Life then then be very good in Thailand. NOW is good time to send money to Thailand, while exchange rates are good... I retired at 63. But worked 7 days a week, long hours, most of my life.. I don't recommend that.. I expect many more good years in Thailand.. Have very ample funds that won't run out..
