This building is called Dusit Grande one I believe No laundry inside the building Airbnb 1000 baht a night ,I'm only staying here a few nights ,I'm sick of this ! I'm still following up my complaint with Bolt after I ordered a "comfort" car only to have a ute turn up , they said they are investigating,how long does it take ? Ridiculous

There is no laundry apparently in this building I have to use the one near tops coin operated, ridiculous There should be a washing machine in this condo for a 1000 a night I will spend the day lodging complaint with Airbnb I'm sick of it

What do you guys do that live in these small rooms without a stove ? I guess you could buy a microwave and hot plates ?

Yes Very long swimming pool It's called the Grand Dusit , although there's another Dusit opposite I don't like the location though, walk on a road to Rompho markets with motorbikes screaming past you Room is very small ,no microwave no cooking

If I was an Academic which I am to a degree ,I would do a thesis on how many single farangs GO BACK to their home country , disillusioned at retiring in Pattaya Really I should be called Dr George because I study this ... But let's paint a rosy colour "Oh I wake up every morning, go for my walk on the nice beach Then have my $2 big breakfast of bacon eggs and sausages Then I head to get a $2 foot massage And then have a afternoon nap Then I go to a lovely bar and talk to Roger the dodger blah blah blah And wake up....and do it again

I will be heading back to that woke highly taxed country Australia this weekend, I have decided on this trip to Thailand particularly Pattaya that again I won't be retiring this year , particularly after I was assaulted in Lopburi and no action was taken I woke up this morning early in my Jomtien Airbnb which I must say is the size of a motel room but had good faculties, very very long swimming pool and good gym Grand Dusit or whatever it's silly name is ,it's about 10 minutes walk to Rompho markets How the hell could someone live in a room this size 21sqm , so I laid on the bed here this morning thinking , " George if you retired this is your life " Waking up everyday in a room , maybe go to the gym , swimming pool , then what ....... Oh they make it so good don't they the rosy rose coloured glass crowd They start off " oh I woke up went to the gym and then swimming then went for a lovely breakfast then went to the beach then had a beautiful massage blah blah blah Boring day after day and depressing . I really feel sorry for you single old men who have to get through each day waking up by yourself in Pattaya thinking what the hell would I be doing today because you gave up your job and life in the west to sit in a box of a room and NO ROUTINE Life just drifts on , some of you may even turn to bars , alcohol etc to get company,others may just withdraw It's great for 5 months and yes I used 5 instead of 6 months just to be different And you know you can't spend as much being an expat as a tourist so you end up staying in that box most nights of the week You realise the ladies of the night are now expensive your living here ,2000 baht etc plus bar fines ,drinks You have no real friends in Pattaya only others you see in a bar or bookshop cafe ,they wouldn't do anything for you without payment So eventually your rose coloured glasses come off Pattaya is not so good for retirement now is it you think

I wouldn't take out a travel package not for 8 nights But.. I noticed many Aussies do it Phuket 7 nights travel package or Bali Is 7 nights even enough , ridiculous

My good nephew in Australia had been telling me he has found a travel package for 8 nights to Pattaya $1099 AUD Australian dollars or (23,000 baht) including airfares (economy )and 8 nights accommodation Including airfare , 8 nights ,and breakfast ,Airport transfers ,he was excited about the breakfast but obviously it will be a Thai breakfast I can't remember if what he said the hotel was called,he said they will only give the name AFTER confirmation,but he believes it was called a Sailors name it has a swimming pool etc 23,000 baht Airfares Sydney to Bangkok Airport transfer to & from hotel 8 nights accommodation Breakfast included Now about the Airport transfers ,it says mini bus so no idea he will have find out more Because in my experience is always find out where the hotel is first 8 nights? Is that even enough?
