I got sick Pattaya on this trip so went to Lopburi, a few hours North of Bangkok The monkey capital so silly me decides I want to see monkeys and pat them and talk with them and I even had thoughts of cup of coffee etc I found a car service Bangkok to Lopburi 2000 baht , I had bags to take so couldn't get the train I booked a hotel for 5 nights so I could have enough time The hotel was cheap at 500 baht a night although it's a 15 minutes trip by Grab motorbike to the monkeys ( no grab cars here) Yesterday I started my goal to meeting my new friends and ended up paying 60 B to get into a ruined old temple grounds ,I'm the only person in there and the Sun was hot ! I went around the grounds to see the monkeys ,and at first I was cautious,I walked over and threw some food I had bought and they all rushed over Suddenly a security guard rushes to me shouting "no feed monkeys ,no feed monkeys !! I looked at him in shock They were happy even smiling at me as I introduced myself standing near them inside the temple grounds even an old grandfather type monkey The guard came over shouting at me so I went OUTSIDE the temple gates at the back ,my new friends followed me and I sat in the ground ( with my sun hat on) then one climbed on my back and suddenly hand slapped my face from behind It hurt and I screamed,then suddenly a small one ran and tried to take my hat ,and then I got up and ran they chased me A workman at a construction site nearby ran to me with a stick trying to hit them , then the security guard runs shouting at me I hate this Lopburi I want to leave early, I'm thinking late tonight as I sit in this hotel room to get a GRAB motorbike back to that temple with the monkeys and that monkey street and asking the driver to wait for me as I try to see who the leader of the monkeys is to tell them , I tried to get the hotel receptionist to translate this to the Grab motorbijebthan I want to go tonight at midnight to that street behind the monkey temple ,get him to wait whilst I spoke to them about my assault,but as she was translatini,he shouts No no and rides off fast !! Unfortunately people can't speak english here ,it's a hassle to explain, I want to leave Lopburi I was assaulted

Seems strange , apparently the strata fees are 35,000 baht a quarter because there is "special levies" for 2 years for various reasons He looked at receipt for tiling common areas and found out they weren't done ! So in reality investors Chinese etc are losing out on this investment because a family is control of the strata committee

I was thinking about buying a small apartment in Bangkok Now I got talking to a resident who was actually Australian He told me the strata committee for the building was made up of a family who owned the majority of units and kept voting themselves in The place wasn't in the best shape , rundown etc and they had "special levies" for some reason But ..he alleges that the strata committee members made up of Thai family were actually using the owners funds to renovate their apartments He looked at a receipt that said the stairs were retiled but in reality the tiles went to a strata committee members bathroom The building manager with this 120 unit building was a relative of the strata committee Now apparently he has complained to no avail I looked at the strata committee photos on the wall ,seems to be mother son brother etc all family The gym is in disarray the swimming pool dirty I won't offer a price because seems everyone is trying to sell But in this building 120 plus units it seems more investors than owners

I got talking to a school teacher from the UK yesterday laying on a Bana lounge next to me He kept saying before or after each sentence "excuse the French " Excuse the French ...I have no idea what he meant but loved it so I kept saying it this morning as well after each sentence But please can we get back on topic thanks !! Anyway the teacher was talking about over protection of children at his school and nowadays if a child is running in a playground and falls there must be 2 teachers to assist and absolutely NO young students to be left alone with a teacher ! And no photos of students allowed I remember in the in Australia a toddler running away down towards the busy road , a elderly woman sees me she shouts stop the baby ! I shout no way I don't want to get involved ! Anyway I told him if the hypocrites when a very big Scottish lady dominated me in the Pattaya pool a few years ago Myself and around 2 other farangs who I didn't know were swimming in the pool when her young kids swam too and nearest us. The very big Scottish lady came over ,"you out now " to all of us One guy climbed out of the pool ,she looked at me "out ! My kids are swimming here ! "I don't want old men around my kids l ! Yes I said ,then was shocked Out! Out ! She shouts Yes madam I said immediately and the other guy got out too She was a big dominant woman. Excuse the French Reminds me of taking self pics or pictures of things , someone now rushes over don't take pics of children! There's children in the background! No pics of anything, children are around ! Poor kids Excuse the French Are kids over protected ?

I was in Pattaya Walking street the other night to see what Australian teens , 2 guys standing near a 711 I only caught the last bit of conversation but it appears an older Thai man with his picture board was trying to entice them in a Go Go bar ,I could be wrong but this is what the young guy said to the Thai man "Don't try that ,I'm a minor mate ,I'm only a kid " I'm only a kid im not even 18 yet " And I stopped and looked at the guys ,they looked over 18 ,but what got me was their attitude that they are still kids I felt like being a smart ass and going over and asking where they're parents are if they are *minors" And this is where society has done ,brainwashed these old Western teens even 19yo to believe they are kids Oh grow up please Thai teens are more resilient,more mature etc than the western "kids" So what defines a "minor " or a child in the West ? I read on the news a 62yo man was questioned by police for stopping his car to ask a "minor " directions The 17yo boys parents reported the man ,police found no suspicious circumstances On Facebook and YouTube there is a man taking pics of "children" who are 18yo /19yo girls walking into a nightclub ! I'm lost at the western society,everyone is now a "kid"
