  8. The only negative is the..... medical insurance,at average 6k a month one member pays !!! That's $300 AUD a month !
  9. And yes there it is ,the medical Insurance! A Aussie pensioner /UK pensioner would have FREE health care in their own country Thats where that budget can be eaten in Thailand No way around it UNLESS you can make the trip back to your own country if illness happens
  10. Very true But they may share rooms We are talking about the example of a Australian or UK pensioner on his country old age pension of around 40-45 baht a month who if he can live in that amount in Sydney or Sheffield can he live in that amount in Pattaya?

  13. Possibly The AUD has gone down to 21.0 and less Which is basically between 40,000 baht to 45
  14. So the UK pension is basically the same? At around 40-45k a month So if old Reg from Yorkshire can live on that in Sheffield why can't old Reg live in Pattaya on that ? Oh please stop being so negative

  22. It's members like "quake" who should be respected in here a 28yo war veteran who gave his service to all of us who is apparently living the good life now in Pattaya with his Honda motorcycle and Ray ban sunglasses and Nike flip flops I do love how his generation use the brand name to describe what they are wearing ,I wonder why
  23. Oh there's no need for racism and ageism English is a universal language Many older guys cannot learn the language for various reasons
  24. Very true I am although fascinated when people talk brand name like Honda or ray bands, meaning they need to buy these materials instead of just a non brand product One of the posters here Quake a 23yo war veteran said he buys brands, I wonder why
