  1. You can connect a secondary router to existing primary router with a LAN cable without cabling through electric wiring system. You could also use a mobile device to create another wifi hot spot separate from your router.
  2. Naive I know but just revive the 2007 Constitution.
  3. The Prayut Legacy. Unfortunately, likely to be repeated.
  4. Will PLO/Hamas/Iran be next for visa-free visits? Thailand could duplicate Argentine's WW2 "prudent neutrality" to all international belligerents (aside from its decades own internal Muslim insurgengecy).
  5. See if you qualify for a 10-year Long Term Resident visa. Just have to document your qualifying gross foreign income (not transfers) every five years plus adequate Thai/foreign health insurance coverage for private Thai health services. No 90-day reporting required, just annual report.
  6. Then the government needs to get rid of a lot of undemocratic political "charcoal" present throughout the kingdom, certainly can be done far earlier than 2050.
  7. Whatever it takes to keep foreign currency incoming to Thailand.
  8. "In 2019, the number of outbound tourists from China reached nearly 155 million, almost three times as many as 2010. However, the number of outbound tourists from China dropped to around 20.3 million in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and was estimated to increase slightly in 2021. Once all border restrictions in China were canceled, more than 40 million Chinese travelers went abroad in the first six months of 2023." Just based on a natural progression and caution by the Chibese government, Chinese outbound tourism will require several years more before reaching the 2019 level. Which means the same for Thailand destinations. Thailand's hype is wishful desire.
  9. From the perspective of budget assigned by the previous pro-military government, portions of the overall budget can't legally be reassigned to a frigate without Parliament approval. Defense budgets are typically for very specific programs and procurements that are usually approved through legislative negotiations. The subject proposed switch bypasses the legislative process, thus illegal. I think that's why Move Forward is taking issue. Nothing related to justification for a frigate substitution. Unspent budget for the submarine goes back to Parliament and discussions can the begin with how those funds should be reassigned, if at all.
  10. It doesn't replace household funds but supplements/-subsidizes household spending. If concerned a household doesn't need it, put an expiration date on its use. Wouldn't it be notable that a household targeted for the subsidy doesn't need it? Might then re-examine who it targets.
  11. Start by immediately closing the North Korean embassy in Thailand, particularly with NK's mikitary support to Russia in its attempted conquest of Ukraine and the war crimes committed against Ukrainian citizens.
  12. And thus a major survey flaw. While fundamental to nationalism is complete national unity in tradition and culture - a uniform society, it doesn't in reality (nor where you have a free democratic society) exist except in the mist extreme fascists countries. This is how the new government labels itself. The survey should be done at the sub-district level at best and district level at worse to get the representations at the local and most affected people by longer entertainment venues. This new government seems to follow the Prayut government in terms of applying government policies to a "one size fits all." Thailand is not a nation of people but a nation of Peoples. And that's why the Move Forward Party won majority in the 2023 election.
  13. Thailand might be offered a good deal on bone saws.
  14. Has Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman how much Thailand respects the sovereignty of Muslim nations? How much Thailand respects the traditions and culture of Islam without suppression and subjugation to Buddhism? There's a bit of Twightlight Zone with the new government's choice of economic partnerships.
  15. Are the Thai beliefs in amulets, the seven heavens in Buddhism, ghosts, numerology (ie., for the lottery) any different?
  16. Oct. 19, 2023 https://www.voanews.com Thailand this week lifted emergency rule in parts of the country’s restive south, where a Muslim insurgency has claimed thousands of lives over the past two decades. Previously, Thailand had lifted the decree in 10 districts over the years. There are 29 districts (by my count including Songhla) in the Deep South. I find no mention of the name and number of additional districts and respective province currently being lifted from the emergency rule. But what has really changed with any of the lifting of the emergency decree? "...the latest easing of decree is not likely not to make such an impression on BRN" (largest insurgency group). Matthew Wheeler, International Crusi Group. Note that while law on the Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance passed in August 2022 (championed in part by Future Forward Party) was to be effective on Feb. 22, 2023 PM - Prayuth delayed its implementation through his term as PM. I haven't seen any announcement from the new government to implement enforcement of the new law whose delay by PM Prayut had been held unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court. If the new government is going to operate outside of the law, any suspension of the emergency decree would seem irrelevant, especially to the insurgents.
  17. Not to mention: In 2014 Thailand's navy inaugurated a £10 million (or about 540 million baht) submarine headquarters and training center, including a submarine simulator anticipating German submarine purchases. https://www.theguardian.com In 2020 naval personnel were being sent to China as its first group of Thai submariners to take training courses, to be ready for the 2023 submarine delivery. https://www.khaosodenglish.com
  18. "It is fair to say that the increasing rate of eating disorders, Japan has the highest rate of prevalence, followed by Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korea. Then following are the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and Vietnam." Mar 1, 2560 BE https://www.eatingdisorderhope.com "Obesity in Thailand has been flagged as a major source of health concern, with 32% of the population identifying as overweight and 9% obese." https://en.m.wikipedia However, "People in Thailand have a higher life expectancy compared to other countries in Southeast Asia, with an average life expectancy of approximately 78 years. Despite the developments in healthcare, there are still some continuing population health issues." Sep 8, 2566 BE https://www.statista.com Not to be outdone: "Cancer is the leading cause of death in Thailand and mortality is steadily increasing ... to 120.5 deaths per 100,000 population in 2017." https://www.jto.org "Approximately 60% of the cancer burden in Thailand is due to five types of cancers: breast, cervix, colorectal, liver and lung cancers." 19. My point is arrest would still not occur if Thailand had ratified the ICC.
  20. ... includes travel insurance given the road accident rate in Thailand.
  21. Not very convenient for tourist families, especially in goul weather.
  22. Good move towards better international trade and security. The English-speaking world comprises the 88 countries and territories where English is either an official, administrative, or cultural language. As of the 2000s, nearly 2 billion people globally speak English. Example, about 63% Malaysians speak English.
  23. Hardly a definitive argument, especially based on speculation and no hard evidence. I support the wallet scheme but only as one of a bundle of solutions required to provide a determinate positive outcome for income inequality and eliminating poverty.
