Moved to the Pub so everyone can relax and discuss this with a cool beverage. Or a cup of tea.

is there any truth to this?
Yes, if your work permit happens to be for the airline you are buying a ticket from.

The problem you will have is that you can only hold a Thai driving license for a private motor vehicle, and the weight limit on this type of vehicle is 3.5 metric tonnes laden. A bus conversion of any kind is going to exceed the laden weight limit.
You can argue that your camper bus conversion is for private use, but you cannot argue your vehicle is less than 3.5 metric tonnes laden.

BC, thanks for that helpful information! My accountant is writing up the minutes now. I would think that anyone buying land would check with the LO beforehand to make sure their land is unencumbered and doesn't overlap titled land. I remember years ago about bribes being paid to the LO but haven't heard anything like that lately.
NS4 chanote land doesn't overlap and everyone knows it. Lesser titles can be subject to amendment. Amendment, however, isn't changing the location of the posts yourself - and everyone knows that too.
It's normally a case of people trying to pull a fast one and hoping that the owner will not notice. If it happens more than once ask the survey team to have a chat with your neighbour. This normally works well.

The Land Office asked for the meeting minutes because the land is owned by a company. The minutes express the agreed intent of the company, and this is often what the Land Office want to see before they act. This is to safeguard themselves from various factions within a company complaining that the Land Office acted without permission. It's just how it is.
Such meeting minutes are not extensive, and would rarely fill up more than half or one page. As such they can be prepared quickly.
In terms of the marker posts, the survey team will reinstate them for you in the correct position.
If your fence posts are being tampered with then the only permanent solution is to either install posts that cannot be knocked over by hand, or to construct a substantial concrete wall.

Interesting development, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
In the past I have made extensive use of the delete uploaded attachments part of the system.
I used to go in every now and again and delete them all, every single one of them - which could have been 100's of files.
I wonder why has this been altered? ????
The ability to delete attachments is not enabled because deletion can disrupt and damage the integrity of topics. Attachments are normally uploaded because the member believes their attachment adds value to the discussion. That being the case, it makes no sense for the forum as a whole to enable the deletion of that added value.
If an attachment is uploaded in error and that error is only noticed after the edit window has closed then a member can report their own post and a moderator will remove the attachment for you.

You do not need a Thai driving license to register a vehicle. In fact you do not need any driving license at all.
This makes sense. Just because you are the legal owner of a motorbike, it does not mean you intend to ride it.
I strongly suggest you register the bike in your name unless you are happy to gift the motorbike to your gf.

If you are stranded in Thailand for Christmas, in the sun, surrounded by pleasant looking ladies then here is a reminder of what you might be missing in the UK:
Do these things actually taste as revolting as they sound?? ????

If you withdraw the investment money at any time then I believe the 'land' must be returned to Thai ownership.
You have to hold your investment for 3 years. After 3 years you can withdraw the investment money and retain the property.

Yes, it is possible, however it is at the discretion of the lessor.
As mentioned though it can often be to the lessor's benefit.

For better of for worse, monetization by google is changing the way people write and speak. Look at youtube channels and you will see that popular channels have started to use replacement code words. Grape instead of r@pe. Corn instead of p0rn. SA or essay instead of sexual assault. There are many others.
This is not the past, this is the present. Without advertisers such as google this forum would not exist, so for us, and for many other content creators these words have to be substituted.
