After exiting Immigration take elevator/escalator to bottom floor of terminal... Take Airport Rail Link City Line to Phaya Thai BST Stop then BTS to Mo Chit BTS Stop... Then cab from there
PS - The Airport link "express train Phaya Thai" is faster but only leaves every 30-45 minutes so the "City Line" local train that leaves every ~15 minutes may get you to Phaya Thai faster

well,
i understand all the theories, and rules
but
my reality is:
in the past 12 yrs here all (without exception) police who stopped me accepted my (from EU country, non-international) driving licence for car...moreover they accepted it driving my 110cc scooter as well.
when fined, only for such like wrong turn, going up on flyover with bike, or speeding.
never ever bothered with the licence being non-thai, non-international, or non-bike.
maybe it is only me, but as mentioned, it is my reality as is.
Same here.. In Chiang Mai I have been nailed for no helmet on 3-4 occasions... Gave them my Thai drivers license - went to the police station the next day paid the usual fine (they made no mention of it not being valid for motor scooter).... And I was on my way...

Split the difference and get a Kindle HD Tablet - this has the best of both worlds... You might think about the size... If you get a larger size (bigger than 7") it will be easier to read - but make sure the screen resolution is "HD"...
Take I look here:

Better to try and get transport from Bangkok then Pattaya...
Here is a link explaining the possible bus adventure:
http://artydubs.com/2013/04/18/direct-bus-from-bangkok-thailand-to-siem-reap-cambodia/
Should note that AirAsia has flights for 1,500 baht if you book far in advance....
Tip: Buy your Cambodia visa online to avoid the first que when arriving in Cambodia airport!

Are you sure the battery is soldered in?...

I would go to Pantip to a battery stall... Bet they would only charge you a couple 100 to install..

You could get the 60 day single entry tourist visa in your own country... Stay in Thailand for the first 60 days... leave for Cambodia before the 60 day... tour for a week or longer in Cambodia - reenter Thailand by land and get a 15 day visa or fly back in and they will give you a 30 day stay visa...
Personally I would take a bus to Anchor Wat... Then take the overnight boat down to Phnom Penh (Go to the museum in Phnom Penh!!!) fly back to get the 30 day visa on arrival (vs 15 by land)
(The additional cost of the multiple entry visa and the reentry permit will be about what the additional flight will cost vs bus)
Note you can get the visa to enter Cambodia online now...

This thread reminds me of the old parable of two villages...
A man who was traveling came upon a farmer working in his field and asked him what the people in the next village were like. The farmer asked "What were the people like in the last village you visited?". The man responded "They were kind, friendly, generous, great people." "You'll find the people in the next village are the same." said the farmer.Another man who was traveling to the same village came up to the same farmer somewhat later and asked him what the people in the next village were like. Again the farmer asked "What were the people like in the last village you visited?". The second man responded "They were rude, unfriendly, dishonest people.". "You'll find the people in the next village are the same." said the farmer. -
To get a Non Immigrant O visa in your own country requires you to jump through a few stupid & costly paperwork hoops... Like getting a health certificate, police letter & proof of $800K Baht in home account. (All of which need to be notarized... How do you notarize a bank statement?...)
So if your just coming for a few months a year a tourist visa might be the easiest...

If you are going to be in Thailand for a few months annually you might look at this -It seems similar to what you were considering
https://www295.americanexpress.com/travel-insurance/home.do#99
It pays for emergency medical treatment and will also repatriate you if it is medically necessary...
I just bought 3 months for less than $50
This can not be used f you are a year round resident
HIV+ testing in Chiang Mai
