  1. of course u can use it. the only thing that matters is that the product LEAVES thailand and u have the invoice to prove u bought it here.

But the way the system works here the product does not have to leave Thailand... They want to look at the item BEFORE you check your bag at thier office at the entrance of the departure level... So you could have a friend go with you to the airport... Show the item to customs guy he stamps your paperwork... Friend gets the item (stays in Thailand) you continue thru customs to the refund desk and get the refund and leave the country

  2. Since you already have a Mac and iPad I would suggest staying within the same ecosystem so you will not have to learn the android OP... an iPhone will have an almost identical operating system as your ipad... Them with an iphone having a good unlimited data plan you can tether the phone and ipad of Mac together to share the data from the iphone to them...

  3. The local store my give you the VAT refund paperwork but you must show the items to authorities at the airport to get the refund... I would note that where you have the authorities view the items is OUTSIDE luggage checkin!... So you could have someone come with you to the airport show the laptop and screen and return it home and you could go thru immigration and go to refund counter...

  4. I have a Truemove H prepaid sim and have activated the monthly 399 baht unlimited plan that automatically renews every month...

I want to cancel the automatic remnewal while I travel back to the US for a few months...

Does anyone know the code that could be entered on the phone to cancel the monthly data plan?...

The webpage below just show how the codes to activate?...

  5. You should know that the Makasaan station is in a bit of a no mans land and very hard to get anywhere from... You can take the airport link train all the way to Payathai and easily walk to the BTS station link

  6. On Sunday we just drove out that road on our way to the hot springs... There are at least 20 new moo baan development being built out there... Signs have prices from 1.8... 2.5 million... Seems like it would be a good idea to drive out there and shop around... Your 2.5 million would get you in the high end of any of the new developments... You could pick the lot, house style and do some custom finishes... There are risks (but what you are looking at has risked too)...

  7. I know that to Thais it is HiSo to leave the economy labels on these devices but I prefer a more minimalist look....

I tried the GooGone on the AC unit and it quickly started to melt the plastic housing... I dare not take it to the Refrigerator!...

I also tried a little left over Som Tom juice and it also started melted my pretty Samsung...

Any hints on removing the stickers and glue without damaging the plastic housing?...

  8. You might want to consider whether you will ever return and use US facilities. If not it would be strange to pay anything, and I find it extraordinarily cheeky that USgov expects expats as a group to do so.Sent from my iPad using ThaiVisa app

This is incredibly stupid advise!!!... The OP would very quickly find his IRA nest egg frozen

  9. If you go to Wat Prah Singh walk to the back where there is the small temple building (That has beautiful wall murals)... Just before you enter on the right is a model temple building - go inside, there are mounted galley where they show pictures is the gates and walls from before the renovations...

  10. Hello I am in Chiang Mai wanted to do an Ikea Kitchen - My plan was to just rent a ggod sized car to drive down for a long weekend... I was wondering if the cabinets are in stock on the shevles (Like in the US)... or do you need to go prior and have their design crew place an order for laster pickup?
