  1. Having seen a few 1st hand welders in use - I don't think I would want a 2nd hand one...

That being said there are a few shops on the left hand side of thevroad that runs NE corner of the moat out to Kamtiem Flower Market...

  2. ...seriously now...I went to Immigration today and asked about the barcode,it's confirmed, next time you go for the 90-day you only fill lout the form and no copies necessary....one small step in the right direction!...the only problem for the lady in back making copies, she will lose about 6 baht on everyone of us...

More likely her sales will increase because they will now require a copy of the bar code coffee1.gif

  3. I would suggest going into the settings and look for a mail account... If they set up email you can find out thier email address and email them....

If it is a model that is 3G then look for what carrier it is - Then go the provider office (True or AIS...)... they may have a name and address on account...

  4. Has there been any update to the flood area map issued on this site last year, or can it still be trusted?

I'm currently looking for a house and would naturally like to avoid any high risk locations.

Keep an eye out for water rings on the outside of houses & perimeter walls

  5. Try to imagine the state of the bottling plant after being submerged in stinking, putrid sewage for some six to eight weeks. Any company working under licence to Pepsi or CocaCola or any other big name International company is going to have to get a 100% clean bill of health before they can ship anything out, and that will take months of cleaning, testing and so on.

I always thought my Coke Light could be used as a disinfectant?... happy.png

  6. Sorry ……I don’t wish to add to your troubles, but I’ve done this 3 times now, all I did was take the reg book, (green book) plus a bill of sale to the relevant office and transfer the name…….Job done! All I needed was; Green book, Passport, Bill of sale.

Were you the seller or buyer?

You did not have to show proof of address?

Was the bill of sale in English or Thai? (Does someone have a sample bill of sale?)

I ask because I have just sold my motorcycle to another farrang and neither of us knows how to do this

(And I would prefer to just give him the correct paperwork and not have to go to the transfer office)

  7. Seems Naam Too Uum is still wreaking havoc upon the supply chain to Chiang Mai...

The shelves are empty everywhere and my hoard of in has run out...

    Has anyone spotted any?

PS Coke Zero just won't cut it...

  8. So I have booked ourselves on EVA.

I had totally forgotten about the difference in baggage allowance. When you said BKK Air will transfer your bags from EVA, will they charge you more for the additional bags that were considered within limits on EVA?

    thanks

    Matt

I don't think Bangkok Air will even know... Your luggage will be checked thru to CNX (MAKE SURE YOU BAGGAGE CLAIM TAGS SAY CNX)... So the people at the BA checkin counter will never get a chance to view/weigh your baggage ;-))

  9. The AIS website has a nice promo plan

    http://www.ais.co.th...one/en/package/

I would recommend the 399 baht/month plan that gives you unlimited data and 200 minutes talk

This 3G has speed limits (Thing 1mbps) - but is reasonable priced and remember when you are at home your IPhone can switch to your home wifi (Assuming you have that) and speeds are as fast as your home plan...

For my IPhone I have not been able to use any data plan that is limited... The IPhones want a constant data connection and will access the internet for a host of purposes sucking up any limited plan...
