  1. I have had an outbreak on my right cheek for the last 20 years... but now it happens rarely. I have learned that a few things set it off - Sunburn is the biggest trigger for me, also certain spicy food (luckily not Thai spicy) and general stress, Acyclovir (400mg) works very well for me... I do not take it regularly but since I have learned my triggers I start the drug a few days before and during high risk times such as vacations and holiday weekends... Also I can now sense the beginning of an event (I feel a swelling from deep in the skin and get flu-like symptoms) and take a double dose of the drug which seems to moderate the outbreak... Now it happens less than once a year :>

  2. I forgot to mention a nice romantic place we stayed tucked away a short walk outside the old city walls... just a hand full of rooms (Eight that are packed full of colonial furnishings) all surrounding a lush pool/courtyard. http://www.triyaannaros.com/roomrate2.php - If you surf the internet you can get the room for a 1,000 baht less than there stated rate... And they have will let you park a car in the rear of their property! (It is a nightmare to park anywhere near the old city)

And here is another place that looks nice: http://chiangmaihotels.chiangdao.com/fernp...ise/details.htm

  3. I have found that after I shut down Skype on the computer the audio link is reset back to my computers internal speakers/mic... I must open the Skype audio settings and select my bluetooth headset (It is now an option in Skype audio) and all is fine...

  4. I had the exact same idea... I have set up a US HSBC online saving account and they have issued me a ATM card... I have linked the HSBC account to my Fidelity stock fund account and can make free transfers between the two online with no fee... I will make my next trip in September and plan to go to the BKK HSBC branch and do a test withdrawal of 2 x 20,000(the daily max i believe)... I hope this will be a cheap way of getting regular funds to Thailand for monthly living expenses... Will keep you updated as to if it worked and exchange rate and fees...

  5. I don't think that legal issues are holding back any hackers!... The thing that will make this difficult to hack is the requirement to periodically sync the iPhone to iTunes to keep your music on the phone... You can bet that every sync will also scan the device, update firmware and make sure it complies with Apples rules...

  6. Be aware of which kind of memory cards are used in the cameras... The best way to get pictures to a computer is by removing the card and putting it into a usb card reader... many laptops have an SD slot already in them... The sony cameras all seem to use a sony proprietary "memory stick" which is a pain and only used in sony products... I think SD memory is the most compatible... If you use the SD memory think about getting a little cheap Palm device like the TX http://www.palm.com/us/products/handhelds/tx/index.html ... Pop the sd card from your camera into this and its like having a little pocket digial photo album to show Grandma your pictures...
