  1. ^^^ Your mistake was going into town... The best places are outside town... We go a couple times a year and get a nice bungalow next to the river with a rice patty view... Go for a hotspring swim, Tea on the Pai overlook or venture out to the cool cave on the road to Mae Hong Song... then dine at Silhouette or maybe venture into eat at Na's Kitchen....

Btw The best way to go to Pai is via Samoeng Rd to Samoeng then up the back way... This is much more scenic and you avoid the ugliest of Mae Rim Rd...

  2. Most agree the only time you must update your TM30 is if you leave the country and return... traveling and staying elsewhere in country for short periods does not require an update... Updating does not require any form - just go to Immigration and ask them to update your new departure card number within 24hrs of returning to Thailand...

  3. Just now, Thailand said:

TM30 can be reported in person at building 3 at the old/new immigration offices near the airport,It's an alternative or are you referring to TM28 change of address or maybe 90 day reporting which can be done by mail and sometimes online.?

    “sometimes online”... :cheesy:

  4. I did mine last month with the agent in Promedada... In addition to the income statement I always bring a copy of the last six months activity from my bank showing monthly transfers in - This is stamped by the bank (My bankbook is basically blank as I never use it)... The agent never looked at the printed statement or the bank book and gave them back to me... Said come back in afternoon to get photo and collect passport... Same as last year...

  5. Just a general observation about air infiltration... In my house the main lounge is connected to the dining and kitchen in an open plan... When I cook and turn on the exhaust fan over the stove or the grill alcove  my PM 2.5 sensor in the lounge goes from single digits to 30 in a few minutes... Basically the exhaust fan creates a vacuum that sucks outside air from every outside nook and cranny... I now make a point to adjust my filters in the space to high before turning on the fans...

  6. On a similar view of the DIY... I want to design a system that draws air from the outside of the house thru a hepa filter to give the house a positive inside air pressure so all the air gaps that I have on the numerous sliding doors (All new but with no rubber seal to speak of) and the gaps I know I have in the dozens of pots lights in the ceiling thruout the house... I’m thinking of using a standard exhaust fan from HomePro that would be installed in a wood box that also has a filter in it that could be mounted on a hole in an outside wall sucking air from the outside in thru the filter...

Unfortunately I sleep badly in general, so i make sure my bed and room are of the best quality i can buy. I really like my natural latex mattress . I even bought a second one for my guest room. (sometimes I have to sleep in the guest room when my parents are here).

I buy most of my quilts and pillows in Ikea, i am lucky that an IKEA just openend 4km from my home. The quality of the quilts and pillows and the wide selection make IKEA perfect for m. You can have cheap quilts or more expensive ones, the same goes for pillows. Because IKEA is an international company they sell the same products all over, this makes it easy to find a review about the products.

This would be ideal!... Curious will Your Ikea deliver to Chiang Mai... Where the OP is located and post in that forum?... :coffee1:

  8. ^^^ I would be looking for places of air infiltration in the living room... door jams and ceiling pots lights in the ceiling are the usual suspects... I would also roccomend you get a timer to turn the air purifier on and hour before you ge5 up... (many air purifiers are electronic and can’t use a wall socket timer - That’s why I switched the Xaiomi... ) or just leave the air purifier on all night on a low setting - It should use too much electricity on that setting...

Btw... Diaso sells rolls of self adhesive foam weather stripping cheaply...
