How to plan an unforgettable motorbike road trip in Thailand
Pilot3Boz replied to CharlieH's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
I have many trips north and south, the north is by far the best direction to go... I ride a GS 2up with the luggage, we pack for 5 days worth of clothing and do laundry 2 times along our journey.. We do 13-15 day trips and truly enjoy the adventure.. The views and scenery are worth the trip.. The roads are for the most part in good condition, with minimal traffic.... Great way to enjoy some of what Thailand has to offer.. I see motorbikes along the way that just aren't able to keep up.. They always try, but they eventually drop back and relax a little.. I meet some of the nicest people on these rides, locals, expats, tourist and the BIB... The wife is always chatting it up and making new friends also... I highly recommend doing this, proper license, bike and safety equipment is a must for you to relax and enjoy the ride!!! -

Most exciting thing you've done in Thailand
Pilot3Boz replied to bignok's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I would say riding my motorcycle up to northern Thailand and experiencing those great roads, Mae Sot to Mae Hong Son, Pai, Chaing Mai, Chaing Rai, Nan and Khoa Kho.. Absolutely the most exciting thing.. I repeat that journey every year for a couple weeks doing the 4000-4500KM giant loop from Hua Hin and back… -

New ATM fee???
Pilot3Boz replied to Pilot3Boz's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Not to be stupid, but which bank is TTB?? Color or easy way to find them… Thanks! -
I recently got back to LOS… I access my spending money from ATM’s with my Schwab debit card… I usually use the Krungsri (yellow) bank, as you can get 30K a pop.. Well while I used it yesterday, I got the normal 220B fee… No issue there, but then it comes up and say a 5% exchange rate “markup” was applied.. this drop my exchange rate down 2 full baht.. Is this some new money grab by all banks or just Yellow bank?? My next move is to try Bangkok Bank as they allow 25K a pop.. Let’s hope they aren’t doing the same thing… Any info would be appreciated !!!

Wow, I read the headline as it was the name of the clinic; "Fire Guts Dental Clinic".. Thought to myself, what a silly name for a dental clinic.. Sadly, it was a bad outcome for this poor business.. I hope they can get rebuilt, and running again soon!!!

Labour ministry to raise minimum wage to Bt400 max by December

‘The Well-To-Do’ Might Not Get 10,000-Baht Digital Wallet: Julapun
Pilot3Boz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Interestingly enough, my wife has been denied a few other handouts over the past few years, due to her bank account balance... So I am sure they can get an easy read on people's bank account balances.. I support truly helping the poor folks in need of help, but this whole thing appears to be a train wreck coming down the hill... in the end one can only hope that this gets in the hands of the needy folks!!! -
