  1. Somebody can't do maths, I make that 124.19%
  2. Remember that universities come under OHEC and not OBEC, and the rules are totally different between the two. Much more paperwork and certification required for schools under OBEC.
  3. Love to know which embassies you think will do this, the British embassy certainly wont, nor will the American embassy. I would think that there is not an embassy on the planet that would "stamp" your photoshopped diploma.
  4. Only if it has immediate withdrawls (even if you lose interest).
  5. Read my post again and you will see that what I meant was that consular affiars know nothing about extensions of stay, they are not in any way shape or from aligned with Immigration.
  6. That is because the MFA consular section deals with visas, they have nothing to do with, (and therefore likely know nothing about), extensions of stay.
  7. Only the FIRST extension must match the reason for issue of the initial visa, any subsequent extension can be for any reason.
  8. That is because it is not a "retirement" visa or extension, it is solely based on being over 50
  9. Hardly relevant to the op's friend, he is on sick leave
  10. https://www2.si.mahidol.ac.th/en/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/2019-VISA-EXTENSION-FOR-MEDICAL-CASE-revised.pdf How to apply for a medical extension, no mention of any employer input
  11. Under the Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand 1985 the minimum legal age of marriage is 20 years. However, individuals are able to marry at 17 years with parental consent.
  12. As soon as he is terminated, getting a medical extension is not much more than a letter from the hospital. Still not sure why his company was even involved, unless they were hoping he was going to return to work
  13. Work permit/contract has NOTHING to do with getting a medical extension That would all depend on the end date of the contract and the terms within it.
  14. As soon as he went on medical extensions the work permit should have been cancelled
  15. yes there is, 100 per nationality per year https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1744
  16. It is actually 100 per year per nationality, and that quota is never met
  17. You are aware that people can only quote current laws? The fact that they have not been updated does not mean anything not covered is legal.
  18. You can apply under investment You must have had a Thai non-immigrant visa for at least three years prior to the submission of your application. Holders of multiple NON-Immigrant visas can not apply. You must have 3 consecutive yearly extensions in order to qualify. You must be a holder of a non-immigrant visa at the time of submitting your application. You must be able to meet one of these categories to apply for PR status in Thailand: Investment category (minimum 3 – 10 Mil. Baht investment in Thailand)
  19. The quote I posted uses the term "digital nomad", which can be described as "A digital nomad lives a nomadic lifestyle, moving from location to location and staying connected digitally. ", which would infer that they are "short term" visitors, not people who live here permanently.
  20. Yes a used visa is still a visa, it is what marries to your permission of stay. "Try entering", that is the whole point of being issued a visa within Thailand, you don't have to leave and enter. Not semantics at all, and you were totally wrong with your "conversion" statement.
  21. Oh yes visas are issued within Thailand, nothing is converted at all. A new Non-immigrant visa is issued, and then utilized on the day of issue, as shown in the picture.
  22. I showed you the Thai Law act, this is not me pretending to "know it all", it is me giving you definitive proof in Thai law. Sorry if that means you are wrong, but the law is the law.
