So wrong ????
"Passports are issued using royal prerogative, which is exercised by His Majesty's Government;" they are not issued in the governments name.
Also, we have had a King since 8 Sept 2022
"His Britannic Majesty's Secretary of State requests and requires in the name of His Majesty all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance and to afford the bearer such assistance and protection as may be necessary.", written inside, clearly stating the request comes from the monarch, (albeit via government, but not in the government's name).
"The one person who will not need a passport is the King himself. By convention the monarch does not have to carry a passport to travel, because it is a document issued in his own name."
