  1. Very true, but it does mention "any foreigner entering into Thailand to organize or attend any meeting or share any opinion or give a lecture or demonstration at any meeting or training or; aiming a visit or participating in a seminar are now no longer required to have a Thai Work Permit for such purposes." To me this would mean that it was a kind of "one-off" thing, not a regular and/or permanent thing, as most of these hippy communes seem to be
  2. Foreigners Working Management Emergency Decree of 2017 https://www.doe.go.th/prd/assets/upload/files/legal_th/99cafe53a0d300f8fdb877b08ec99bd6.pdf Section 5 defines work "Work" means the use of physical strength or knowledge for engaging in an occupation or a job with or without an intention to obtain wages or any other benefit except the work prescribed in the notification of the Minister”
  3. Yes they should have a work permit, it most certainly is considered work
  4. "I'm in the long term ED visa crowd, my most current one will take me over the 10 year mark in Thailand. " It really is time for you to get the correct visa ????
  5. You are correct but it has nothing to do with having a yellow book https://www.konradlegal.com/2023/02/07/do-you-have-to-pay-property-tax-in-thailand-in-2023/#:~:text=Based on the type of,laws are applicable to all. No mention of yellow book, you only pay property taxes on purchase, sale, and any profit you may make from the condo, ie rent Owner occupier has paid the tax on purchase and as they are not renting out, they have zero tax liability
  6. Of course you can purchase a multi re-entry permit for whatever visa/extension That said be prepared to explain how on earth you are studying in Thailand when you are leaving Thailand so often
  7. ? Can you explain that further please
  8. And they also have the dispensation to allow extensions that don't tick all the boxes.
  9. Certainly the British consular section does not say that you have to travel back your home country or "where you come from" "our emergency travel document will usually be ready to collect 2 working days after you apply. Your travel plans (countries and dates) will be printed on your emergency travel document. If you change your travel plans, you'll need to apply for a new emergency travel document and pay £100 again." The USA does not even mention where you are visiting "Please note: An emergency passport has only 5 pages, 1-year validity, and is issued under special circumstances. The validity cannot be extended and pages cannot be added." I would think that most consular sections are the same
  10. How is it illegal? The issuing IO's senior officer has dispensation in the issuing of extensions, it may not be the "best" way of doing it, but unless the stamps are fake, it is not illegal.
  11. It is the number of waivers, not how long that matters As said, all you can do is try
  12. Seeing as I was chatting in real time to a person in the queue and he was relaying what was happening, the only worthless thing is your comment! And the specifics are clearly documented on another advice page.
  13. Many reports from the last week that the ME Non O in Savannakhet is getting a lot harder to get. Many people getting refused, some asked to phone wife, some asked to produce wife. This option is not the sure thing it once was
  14. Very strange, because CW is very pedantic about TM30's being filed, I wonder why they singled just you out to be lenient with?
  15. 10 years and you still can't get the terminology correct? You are getting extensions of stay based on being over 50, your initial Non-O has nothing to do with that,(now after 10 years)
  16. This makes no sense If you ALWAYS report 14 days early, there will always be 90 days between reports The 90 days is only ever less if YOU choose to report early, and then your next report is still 90 days from that date.
  17. In person, 15 days before to 7 days after
  18. Actually it should be "at least 4 times", 3 times would not be financially beneficial Also what you fail to take into account is passport pages, they are valuable in and within themselves
  19. So wrong! The fact is that your employer did not want to have to produce all the extra paperwork for an in country issue of a Non-B. Below is an example of a Non-B issued inside Thailand.
  20. No problem at all studying without an ed visa/extension
  21. "Incorrect"? Yet you say exactly what I did!
  22. You posted this on March 23 "I can get 15/17 months out of a proper Visa, with no hassle or interrogation from immigration"
  23. If you had a multi-entry Non-O, your local immigration would not even know you exist, as you would have no contact with them
