  1. There is the clear difference, no honesty within the marriage, no one unfaithful here, and your right, we are way off the topic aren't we.

    Vaccination

Take it to your local Ministry of Provincial Health, MOPH or Department of Provincial Health Office as I think you are wanting one of those Yellow Vaccination Books which cost about 50 baht. You will be required to come back at a later date to collect it, make sure you also take your passport and certificate with you.
  3. It's a male thing, 100% of my friends want one like mine, so why not....
  4. Having an understanding wife does help, no insecurities in this household ????
  5. I suppose it's hard for some to accept that sex outside the marriage is acceptable, but not to all obviously, oh and by the way, no need to be intelligent, as long as you can get it up ????
  6. I know someone who didn't get vaccinated, got infected with Covid and died, yes she was old and had underlying conditions, that said, another person also died with one vaccination, slightly older and with underlying conditions, however the other 8 out of the 10 who had double vaccinations who were also in the same age groups with underlying conditions survived, that tells me the vaccines worked, although they all ended up in hospital as precautionary measures it provided time to disinfect the facility (nursing home) while they were in hospital.
  7. Yes, death comes to us all, however we all have a responsibility to our selves to protect ourselves from all the diseases out in the world that can dampen or shorten our lives. A lot of us get annual flu vaccinations, I do, some of us get the Pneumonia vaccine every 5 years followed up with a booster the following year, I practise safe sex when I am riding a filly as opposed to my wife. It's all a personal choice, COVID is as contagious as the Measles, if you understand anything about viruses, you will understand that yes, this affects mostly those older than 60 and with underlying conditions, that said it can also kill people younger with underlying conditions, Obesity plays a big part yes, but when you look at 4.6 million people having died in the past 20 months from Covid, not to mention how many are suffering long Covid and other conditions from it's infection, is it worth not wearing a condom so to speak. Our world is constantly changing, new viruses, diseases being discovered all the time, and we need to adapt, if your worried about a vaccine that is proven to be safe and effective, then you roll the dice, me personally, I would rather take my jab and hope that when I do get infected with Covid, it's effect will be no more than a flu or cold as I am not willing to risk my life over being stubborn, I look at the science, I research a lot, I don't trust governments, but am at least intelligent enough to know that Covid has the potential to kill me, so why swim with sharks, it's all about the risk vs benefits, besides being vaccinated also provides protection to my kids through herd immunity until they too can get vaccinated, which is a part of life, e.g. your born, your jabbed and then again as you grow and then you die, it's part and parcel of the cycle, some don't want to face the music, and that's fine, I wish them a long life free of viruses and diseases if they choose not to be vaccinated.
  8. I believe you have to go to this office, copy and paste the below into Google Maps: Phuket Provincial Health Dept, Narisson Road, ตำบล ตลาดใหญ่ Mueang Phuket District, Phuket Alternatively you can Google them for a phone number.
  9. Every now and again we get one, and every now and again we get rid of one. Soon, soon I hope, anyone ditto that ?
  10. Anything digital for proof will be a no no for me, I'm old school, no one can hack my papers as proof of being vaccinated, take it or leave it.
  11. Much higher in terms of numbers vs %. Percentages don't really reflect the numbers (human nature), we see a small number. Example: In 2019, figures below from the WHO for the flu season worldwide, its evident of how many people died. Flu: The World Health Organization estimates that 290,000 to 650,000 people die of flu-related causes every year worldwide. If you look at how many people died of Covid in 2020 the numbers are significantly higher as expected, why just in America the deaths of 652,654 people surpassed the numbers worldwide of the above previous flu season, so as I said, it's the numbers that make it more real as opposed to the %'s, the latter make things look mild. So far there have been 4,600,000 deaths due to Covid 19 since it started, say 20 months ago, if it was just the flu over the same period of time one could assume that it would be around 1,100,000 deaths, i.e. if you average out the months based on the same 12 month period. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/?utm_campaign=homeAdvegas1? Now one could say that the the % is about 2.36% but it's a % which to the naked eye looks low (human nature), but to me I see 2,760,000 people dead based on the above averaged out over a 12 month period, but as I said, %'s don't really reflect the numbers to me, numbers reflect the real volumes of deaths, i.e. 4,600,000 people worldwide over 20 or so months or about 2.36 times more than your annual flu, so 2,760,000 deaths over a 12 month period, take away the 650,000 annual flu deaths, that's 2,107,346 more deaths than the annual flu season worldwide. I trust your question is answered in % and number terms which really reflects the current pandemic.
  12. What you fail to realise is that the only way the world is going to bring this virus to the level of a flu or cold (Endemic) is by getting at least 80% of the worlds population vaccinated or allow those not willing to get vaccinated die or get infected, spread it and then hopefully get to an (Endemic) so that it ends up as a flu or cold, but what if it mutates to an even worse variant which could be more contagious and perhaps more deadly, then what. You can't value a life based on ones age, i.e. you will become old and with pre-existing conditions one day whether you like it or not, suffice to say those under you may not want to get vaccinated also and then you will go to your grave earlier than expected, and you might say now, so what, but when you get to being older, you will think differently I am sure of that. The above said, you can be a hero and take on Covid, but it's not about you, it's about protecting the ones with weaker immune systems, they could be either old, or young with immunocompromised immune systems, why just the other day a 20 year old died in Australia because he had a pre-existing condition, didn't get vaccinated because he thought he was young enough to fight it off, each to their own, I am relatively fit at 61, but do my bit to protect those older than me, those with immunocompromised systems and my family, but then again, there are the majority of us who are selfless.
  13. How many people worldwide including us expats have died from the Pfizer vaccination Vs how many people have died from Covid 19, the statistics are out there, did you say No, see, No look ? I for one have had my 1st dose and am still here, 2nd coming on Monday and I suspect I will still be here after that dose, that said, the odds of dying from Covid 19 unvaccinated are very high (fact). Everyone will meet Covid 19 with our without a vaccine, and if you think your risk of dying from a vaccination is greater than being unvaccinated, then you haven't done your homework. The above said, wish you the best of luck.
  14. I copied and pasted the below from another post of 4 hours ago compliments @BBKBike09 which is pretty self explanatory. The following video from the MOPH CDC explains in simple terms how to apply for the Travel Certificate. The video is in Thai but has English sub-titles. It makes it sound simple. While it is not hugely complicated, it is quite time-consuming because it requires in-person application, unless you can authorise someone to apply on your behalf. One of my staff did it for me, at the main MOPH building. I believe it cost THB 150 in official fees.
  15. Makes total sense and good luck. I jut checked my status and it shows confirmed, suffice to say I will contact the hospital now and let them know that I won't be needing the jab so that it can hopefully go to someone else in need of it.
  16. If one is stupid enough to listen to this "government" who let the horse out of the gates early so that the virus could spread all over Thailand, then one should know that the race was destined to be lost from the beginning of April. I for one, don't listen to this incompetent "government", and will continue to listen to what the science suggests, so far, so good.
  17. Yeh, thanks, nah, you can keep your sandbox till the country is at least 80% vaccinated with decent vaccines, not that Chinese stuff.
  18. I wouldn't go unless you receive the email or sms confirmation as it could be a waste of time. Remember, they did say for Khon Kaen residents and some surrounding provinces, that said I also live in Sakon Nakhon but managed to register on site at Udon Thani Provincial Public Health Office and then get zapped the following day at the university on the 23rd August, even though I am registered to get my jab at KK on the 12th, which I will cancel if it comes through, but don't know if it will because I live in Sakon Nakhon. A suggestion would be, either try to call KK to confirm you are ok for the jab living in Sakon Nakhon before you go, or ring Udon Thani Provincial Public Health Office to see when they are next registering and providing jabs. I am due for my 2nd on the 13th, so maybe try that in case KK is a fizzer ? Details below, also re-the wife, we have also paid for Moderna for October which, if it does come through, will push my shot back as a booster/3rd jab in April next year, if required, that said, looks like only half will arrive and looks like there is government interference already. We are always trying to stay one step ahead for the unknown and have heard the Thai government is going to give their citizens a jab of AZ followed up by Pfizer as the 2nd jab in October, that said I have told my wife to keep her ears and eyes open because if she can get the in October, she will then push Moderna back when she gets notified that it has arrived, more than likely in the 1st quarter of next year. https://udon.info/udonthani-provincial-public-health-office/
  19. Apologies for being persistent, but I'm trying to understand your comments copy & pasted below. If I would have thought out of the box, I should have come to the same conclusion: call the the provincial public health office. That's what my wife just did. Apparently, I'm registered, I just have to wait for my que which they will communicate as soon as they know. They said That I would get Pfizer and that the venue is Surin Rajabhat University. From my understanding, you have an appointment at Bangkok Hospital Khon Kaen for the 12th September which is to be confirmed by them either via an email or sms to you and if I am reading your posts correct you are in the que at Udon Thani Provincial Public Health Office, however not sure how you are registered with the latter. The above said, I wouldn't let go of the Khon Kaen appointment for the 12th if they confirm its a go for the 12th, i.e. unless you can clarify that you are registered with Udon Thani Provincial Public Health Office, how you registered and have a date for the jab, as I am sure you have to register in person, e.g. when I was registering a guy was trying to register his friend, he had photos of his friends passport and medical docs, and they told him, he must register in person with original passport and medical docs, wouldn't even allow him to email the passport and docs to them. Just don't want you to miss out if Khon Kaen comes through 1st, regardless of the time it will take you to drive there, i.e. unless you have a solid confirmation from Udon Thani.
  20. Your welcome and well done, however I am a little confused, when you say apparently you are registered, do you mean your wife managed to register you at Udon Thani Provincial Health Office over the phone ? Also any indication of when the que might be, because I know I am due for my 2nd dose on the 13th so you might be getting it on the same day at the Uni, because I know when I got my 1st dose, that was the first time they offered it, so it would make sense for you to get your 1st dose on the 13th, unless they are doing more 1st doses beforehand. Also I registered with Sawang Daen Din Hospital a while back, (forgot) and they called me after I received my Pfizer jab to advise that they also had it, but we told them we got ours at Udon Thani, then we got a call from someone in Sakon Nakhon a week later asking if we got the shot at Sawang Daen Din Hospital, with my wife repeating to them what she had told the hospital staff, maybe they are checking up on them ? Keep us updated if you don't mind and when you do go to the uni for the jab, just follow the signs to the very end until you can't go any further, expect to be there for around 3 hours, so take a sandwich or two and some coffee, sure did help my hunger pains, albeit it they offer you bottled water. Good luck
  21. Many of us here in Isaan had done what you had done, I registered on the Expatvac site on 1 August and the Khon Kaen site a little later, nothing. On Sunday the 22nd August I received a text from a friend who said Udon Thani Provincial Health Office was taking registrations for expats over 60 or under 60 with underlying conditions on-site, so I went and registered on-site and received my 1st dose of Pfizer the next day at Raji University, 2nd dose due on Monday the 13th September. I wouldn't be holding my breath for either site to email or text me, but if they do, I will cancel as I have already been vaccinated. If I were you, depending on where you live, I would make contact with your provincial health office asap to see if they know anything on Pfizer being given to expats, wouldn't mention the Expatvac and KK site and see what they say. Good luck.
  22. Time to hang them out to dry, but will this happen in the LOS
  23. Thinking is one thing, but outright discriminating is WRONG and you won't find that in most countries, I know in Australia, if you fit the criteria, your in, period, not based on your nationality. If you are over 60 and or have an underlying condition, or now under 60 with an underlying condition, you would have received a vaccine like many Thai's, but my comment was for way before they included farangs, we were out in the cold for a while, nothing for us, or do you have a short memory ? I too could have had AZ on the 7yh of June with Thai's because I have an underlying condition and am over 60, but chose not too, so it went to someone else, I received Pfizer last month and having my 2nd dose in a week, compliments of the USA, not Thailand, although administered by them. I have also read many farangs here on the forum being turned away, with comments such as Thai's only or Thai's 1st, maybe later. The only reason Thai's started giving shots to farangs is because of pressure from embassies, some even vaccinating their own, like the French.
