Congrats to Japan on winning their third World Baseball Classic title. A walk-off in the semi-final game against Mexico. And in the final Shohei Ohtani strikes out Angel's teammate Mike Trout for the final out in a 3-2 thriller. Police stopped a Black couple in Tennessee – and took their children

On the plus side, at least the THP didn't murder a family of five, ya know for having tinted windows, and "not complying". -
I'm not sure you believe this? But if you do then you would welcome indictment(s)? Right? Nope. Article II, Section 1, Clause 5: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Why is it difficult to add new flights at Suvarnabhumi?
bamnutsak replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Finished that thought... So sub-contractors cannot start hiring until they "win" the contract. Awarding slots BEFORE services are readied would be a major issue for EVRYONE. I'm actually surprised all of the Chinese carriers have ramped up their own services: re-hiring/training/certifying staff, re-certifying dormant aircraft. Ceasing flight ops is easy. Re-commencing them, less easy. What's the over/under on "runway excusrions" once rainy season arrives? -

It sounds (from the linked article) that this is more about which of the duopolies will get the business, or if there is a third company (can KingPower be far behind in ground services?) trying to wedge into this business. Note that the ground services primary contractors also sub-contract out most of the services. -

Anutin insists there is no pre-election political deal

Agreed. And save the 5.9 BILLION baht which the "cabinet" approved for a budget for the "election". Democracy theatre. Same-same as Khon. -
Seems like I've read about at least three different cases of Chinese mafia abducting other Chinese citizens in the past few days. Are the victims borrowing money from these organizations, and then when not repaying the loans, they get kidnapped? THE FATE OF THE CHINESE IN THE THIRD CASE OF ABDUCTION IS UNKNOWN https://www.khaosodenglish.com/news/2023/03/22/the-fate-of-the-chinese-in-the-third-case-of-abduction-is-unknown/ It's like feakin' Mexico these days, with the cartels replaced with Thai and Chinese mafia gangs. And meth replacing opioids.

Anutin insists there is no pre-election political deal
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It's a bit trickier these days as control needs to be attained maintained with a veneer of "democracy", rather than at the business end of a firearm. So while the results are the same, more makeup and lipstick is required in "modern" Siam. -
Your "opinion" was met with the deserved derision, and your only comeback is a personal insult? Lame. "Everywhere". That's a bold statement. Feel free to compare and contrast the death tolls for alcohol, tobacco, meth, opioids and Cannabis. Some (more?) feel the same way about tobacco. You can file a police report as smoking in public where it causes an annoyance is illegal. I find it odd that so many people here feel the need to tell others how to live their lives. Why would I care if millions of Thais consume cannabis? Rather that than yaba. Cannabis users are a bit more mellow than meth-heads.

Anutin insists there is no pre-election political deal
bamnutsak replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There may not be a "deal" but there is a "plan". While it is difficult to keep track of the bodies, as they jump parties, it still feels as though PPRP/UTN will need BJT and the Dems beat PTP+Move Forward. BJT may outperform expectations, as demographics shift. And any "plan" will involve "shenanigans", again. Short of the EC/CC bouncing MF or PTP it will be a very close race to form a majority government and appoint an unelected PM. But I can't see the PtB allowing anything other than a military-backed government, again. -
When Cannabis was normalized in June 2022 some 4,000 prisoners were released, out of a total prison population of 350,000-ish. Yaba/methamphetamine is said to be responsible for ~ 80% of incarcerations, so ~ 270,000 prisoners. And the authorities just made possession of two or more tablets (down from 15) of yaba in the catgeory of "dealer". Meth is truly addictive, and much more harmful to the mind and body than almost any widely available 'drug' Tell me again that canabis is worse for Thai scoiety than tobacco, alcohol and meth. I think meth is just so deeply ingrained in Thai society that it is almost accepted as a cost of doing business. We never hear the stories about youngsters abusing meth, why is that? And the policeman who murdered 37 people in Uthai Sawan, including 22 children, was purported to be a meth head.

Yes, but... 2,500 for 365 days, 6 Mbps cap on speed unlimited volume), or buy a new SIM/number.
-
https://www.dtac.co.th/en/dtac-promotion/packages/online-best-value.html 2,500 baht for 365 days at 6 Mbps, as an add-on to an existing SIM. DTAC 30 Mbps new SIM is 1,690 baht, often on promotion to 1,390. https://www.tree-mobile.com/product/ซิมเทพ30mbps Note free voice calls on net, 60 min free each month off net. So solutions for both market segments. The difference in price/cost is because new subscribers are a significant goal each quarter, as is churn, lost customers etc. So new SIMs are incentivized. And the Chinese SIM farms need supplies.

IPTV - English Language Live Streaming News Channels

USTVGO is gone, as of March 1, 2023 https://www.firesticktricks.com/ustvgo-shuts-down.html Went there looking for NCAA tournament games... The substitute version is OK for some channels. -
So your price range is 300 ~ 350 baht per gram? What volume are you interested in? Which strains? You want imported cannabis? Or domestically produced? Indoor, greenhouse, outdoor? Where are you located? I have made ~ 20-ish purchases online, most in the 2,000 - 3,000 baht range. Zero issues to date. No, it is not.
-
There have been quite a few recommendations for fee-based IPTV services here. Although I see one prominent thread has vanished so maybe the policy has changed? Maybe just Google IPTV Thailand? Did this ever work acceptably? How does the Youtube app look on your Firestick/TV? OK? Relying on an ad hoc network of restreamers, especially for popular events can be challenging.

So you used your phone as a WiFi hotspot? And which device did you connect to your hotspot to perform the test? I love it when people tell you what they don't have. Can you tell us what brand SIM you have, and what plan(s) you are on? Obviously you have some data plan? This is indicative of some issue which I would guess is NOT related to the network. Jitter should be in the 2 ~ 4 ms range. It could be an issue with your hotspot configuration, or issues related to WiFi configurations. I too get a very high jitter number (Zurich/Monzoon: 178 ms) when I use one phone (Google Pixel 6) as a WiFI hotspot, and use its 4G/LTE mobile data conenction via WiFi on a second phone. However, when I use the second phone directly connected to my WiFi router I get a jitter figure of 1 ms. Without doing any research, my best guess is that this must be a result of the phone/wifi hotpsot introducing jitter as it processes packets. Packet loss = increased jitter? Can you simply use the "Primary" phone, along with a decent data plan, to make you VoIP calls? Maybe you can share the details of your application? You'll have to research this on your own to determine if say a 4G router of reasonable spec/price (e.g. TP-Link MR-100) can deliver adequate performance.
